no more service 4/9/2010

body shop repairs took twice as long as i was told. when asked why, could not get a specific reason for delay. 3 shops and insurance company said 4-5 days plus w/end if needed. all estimates were within a couple hundred $$ of each other. shop took 2 weeks, 1 day(11days) +2 w/ends. Insurance asked shop to pay for additional days of rental, shop advised - "no, they don't do that. repairs take as long as repairs take". insurance allowed rental for "reasonable" time-based on estimate...I paid difference.. I took final billing to one of the shops I previously considered, they reviewed, based on final repairs/estimate, they advised 4-5 days plus w/end if needed.. if they did not get done by friday, it would be delivered monday. (i now know shops don't work w/ends). Will not be back for any future repairs... my fault or not. I've also had service done here as well.. it was pricey and got "Elk Grove" attitude.. no more of my business for them. Mel Rapton, Carmichael Honda, Folsom Lake Honda more

Conscientious management and crew 3/25/2010

These guys know their Hondas. I've been going there for six years and wouldn't trust my car to anyone else. I know that even if I go in only for an oil change, they will carefully inspect my car and alert me to anything I need to know about. They have kept my car in PERFECT condition and are very responsive to my questions and concerns. Pros: Fast, professional Cons: Sometimes pricey. more

Terrific car buying experience 12/4/2008

I went to 5 car dealerships around Sacramento over the long Thanksgiving weekend to get a new car, since mine was 7 years old and would soon need its annual maintenance that would probably cost me more than the car was worth. By far, the best salesperson was Mike C. at Elk Grove Honda. He tried to be unobtrusive, and not pushy at all. He was helpful, giving me pros & cons of each of the cars we looked at. \r \r The car I eventually bought was priced EXACTLY as it was advertised in the newspaper. The sales office staff was friendly & helpful, too. This was the best car buying experience I've ever had.\r \r The new Honda warranty is also fantastic, covering more than any other manufacturer out there. I adore my new car, and I think that I'm very happy with my deal.\r \r For my trade-in, I didn't get exactly what the Kelly Blue Book suggested I should get...the dealer uses the "black book", but I'm happy with what I did get. It was very close. more

Great car buying experience 12/4/2008

Over the long Thanksgiving weekend, I went to five car dealerships around the Sacramento area. By far, the nicest and most helpful sales associate was Mike at Elk Grove Honda. We only waited a few minutes before Mike found us on the lot. He tried to be as unobtrusive as possible, making the whole experience much better than any other car buying experience I've ever had. When we came back for a test drive, Mike was right there, on time, and gave us all the information (pros & cons) about the cars we looked at. We also didn't have to wait much for the financing options when we were ready to buy, and the lady in the sales office (I just forgot her name) was also very friendly, helpful, and answered all our questions, without pushing us too much. Overall, this was a great experience for me, and the next time I'm in the market to buy a new car, I'm DEFINITELY going to Elk Grove Honda first! more

Dealer is a Rip off 9/6/2008

I went to look at an accord and the dealer tried to give $11, 000.00 less that Kelly Blue Book said the car was worth for my trade in. Wasted a whole afternoon at this dealership. Models were over priced at this dealership. My advice is to avoid this dealer. more

Too pushy 11/3/2005

When searching for a new car for my husband, we knew exactly what we wanted. We were looking for a used Honda for my husband to use for commuting only. We had a set price in mind and were also pre-approved for a loan. As soon as we realized that they didn't have anything that was in our price range, we tried to leave. The salesperson kept pressuring us to stay and test drive a new car instead of searching for a used car. We repeatedly told him that we were not interested in a new car and he kept bugging us. We also felt that their cars were way overpriced because we ended up finding exactly what we were looking for, somewhere else and at a much lower price. more

Not Cheap 9/6/2005

I went to this dealer because I was interested in buying an accord. As usual, I was immediatly approached by a dealer the second I stepped in to the car lot. I told him I was interested in an accord at a price that was priced the same as another rival honda dealer. The dealer did not want to discuss price and tried to pursuade me to take a test drive. I wanted to discuss prices before taking a test drive. When the dealer saw that I wouldn't budge on my demand he angrily said that if i wanted that deal I should go to that dealor. I left immediatly and ended up getting a better deal than the advertisment at Autowest Honda. more
