Trendy, comfortable, beautiful and trés chic are the words that come to mind for this rather new restaurant which graces The Strip and is located next to the Pittsburgh History Center. The menu is fabulous, as is the food, with very reasonable portions. Presentation is lovely. Hands down, Eleven serves the best chicken in town. I don’t know what they do to it, but I’ve never tasted anything like it. In my opinion, this restaurant is the place to go if dining alone, something I do often. The bar area is an independent's dream-come-true, with its comfy, overstuffed chairs, aimed directly at the restaurant entrance for easy people-watching, or with the standard stools at the bar. I like the feeling that no one may enter or leave without my knowledge. Oh, the power. That said, in defense of the more usual habit of dining with someone else, how much fun is it to say, "See you at 7 at 11?"
