Elements Health Club -Gresham

We joined CAC a couple of months ago after moving to Gresham from the midwest. We joined the main gym so that we would have the option to use all three; if we had just joined CAC East, it would have been quite a bit cheaper. BUT...you get what you pay for!! A large portion of our cost is for unlimited childcare, and the childcare providers, especially at CAC East, are top notch. They really pay a lot of attention to the kids and have different crafts and games planned each day. The gym itself is always clean and the equipment is adequate -- I've never had to wait for anything. They also have plenty of free weights. It's not brand new, and I do wish they had Precor 100i's in the cardio section, but there is everything available to get an excellent work out. The new outdoor water park at the main gym is fantastic, especially for small children -- they have a huge area that is just fountains and a kiddie pool, and my pre-schoolers have an absolute blast. Cascade is wonderful. The group classes are challenging but friendly. The overall feel of the gym is accepting and family friendly. We'll have a family membership until our kids go to college. more

We joined Cascade for two reasons, location to our home and the small business feel. When we moved we wanted to utilize their other clubs as they were much closer to our new home. Well, since we joined at the 205 location we could only use the little Gresham club, which has no pool, and if we wanted to use the other we had to pay an upgrade fee plus and extra $30 per month. They say it is a much nicer club, I suppose it is, if you want to use a dance studio...All we wanted was to have access to the same amenities that we were offered at the 205 club...we called about our concerns and had no luck coming up with a solution, really they didn't seem to care how we felt. Really, I wasn't really very disappointed, as the staff at the big gym in Gresham has a whole lot lacking. We canceled our membership and joined LA Fitness...They have all the amenities plus quite a few extras and we are paying almost $600 per year less with them than if we would have upgraded to Cascades "nicer" club. they have the most racquetball courts in the state in one facility. Everything is very nice and upscale. Lots of classes to offer their members, and they hold excellent extracurricular activities. This is a club that offers everything for anyone! more

I like the Cascade Gym when I am in Portland. First of all because I can easily go in on a day to day basis (some gyms try to get you to auto deduct from your bank account), the equipment is up to date and its clean. Major issue with some gyms. more

Cascade Athletic Club is great. I especially like this one as there is always enough machines without having to wait in line. The people that go are always friendly and its a great place to meet you neighbors. more
