Elden Draperies, Blinds and Shades

Products are ok, the owner is great but his wife has the worst customer service skills ever. She is rude and insulting. When the string used to raise and lower my blinds broke, she blamed me for it and referred back to when it was installed years ago. \r \r I will never go back. Unless you understand the principle of the customer is always right, you should get out of the business. \r \r Get blinds and drapes elsewhere and put them in yourself. Cheaper and do not have to rely on rude service if something happens. more

When we decided to build our new home we chose Elden Draperies to do our window treatments. One reason was because they are a local family owned business. The company also has a great reputation for customer satisfaction and we had seen some of their blinds in other homes. We knew the blinds would be nice so we did not expect any surprises. But surprised we were; the window blinds were gorgeous and added a depth and dimension to accent our home. Their installer was courteous and extremely professional. I would highly recommend using Elden for all your window treatment needs. more

I have used Elden Draperies for two homes and an office. I could not be happier with this company. The salesman is prompt, friendly, knowledgable and excited about what he can offer you. He knew exactly what product to use to make each of my homes and office look amazing. The installer has always been on time and prepared. He is an asset to the company, and is able to end each sale perfectly. I receive many compliments on my window treatments, and have recommeded Elden Draperies to friends and clients. We've been in our home six years now. When we first moved in, we got vertical and honeycomb blinds from Elden. Later, we purchased draperies for all of the first floor. Just this month, we added sheers to the windows and doorway. In every case, the sales rep was remarkably knowledgeable regarding fabric, color, and styles of draperies and blinds. He provided a wide range of suggestions that would fit our decor. He took our direction regarding what we wanted. With this most recent purchase, as the sheers were being made, there was a question about how they would fit with what we already had in the windows. The installer made a special trip to double-check the size and needs for installation. We have never been so happy with the window treatment in our homes as we are now. more

The salesperson showed up 20 minutes late and acted like it was no big deal when he finally arrived. I presented our project and what we were thinking. We were very flexible as far as price and product because we just didn't know yet how to tackle our project. Any other salesperson (including one of their main competitors) would take that opportunity to present a number of different options and different price points and really lead the sale (usually to a higher profit for the company). This person was here no more than 5 minutes. He looked around and said, ""we can't help you."" He offered no explaination as to why he couldn't help. No recommendations for someone who would. Nothing. And he walked out. We already had a quote from another local company that had no problem quoting us and never said anything like that. He was just lazy! I am very disappointed in his lack of professionalism and overall skill from a company that is supposed to be one of the best in the area. It was a complete waste of time and I will not consider them again for any other projects nor would I ever recommend them to any friends or coworkers. Cons: Late, unprofessional, lazy, not helpful whatsoever more
