Great Pupusas, super-slow-Latin-time service 9/26/2006

I like this place for it's pupusas, they are really good, packed with meat and the masa is perfectly chewy. They also have Mexican selections which are ok, not as good as the pupusas. If you want a good deal, go for the ""plato tipico"", it's 2 pupusas, a fried empanada (filled with meat), and a Salvadorean tostada, it goes for about $6.50 or so. They have a great drink called ""Cola Champagne"", tastes like bubble gum... yum.>>>Theie service is definitely on Latin time...super slow. You don't go to this restaurant for they service, only for the food. ALthough, most of the servers are nice, not too professional.>>>This is also a great place to go late at night if you've been out all night drinking and need some grub, it's open until 4 am.>>>This place is super good for pupusas! Pros: Great Pupusas, Open Until 4am, Unpretentious Crowd Cons: Really Slow Service, Loud Noises Coming From Kitchen more

Papusas! 2/28/2003

They have the best papusas in the city here. You definitely do not come to this place for the service. The staff seems to be friends and family and is not overly professional but the food makes everything worth it. more

reminds me of the carribbean 9/12/2002

On the order of the reviews, I went and ate pupusas, platains, and tamales. They were all quite tasty but I have to warn the uninitiated...mostly starch (not that I'm complaining). more
