\r Dr Eisenbud is the worst doctor you ever want to see. unless of course you like jumping through a bunch of hoops only to have all the tests SHOW YOU WERE TELLING THE TRUTH BUT HE CALLS YOU A LIAR & WILL NO LONGER TREAT YOU CITING IRRECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES......He is correct I put my faith in god & the truth.\r \r he sold his practice to another doctor BUT STILL IS ON THE OTHER DOCTORS STAFF & WHILE COVERING FOR THE OTHER DOCTOR VACATION I MET HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 7 MONTHS. I needed a doctor after I was forced onto medicare & AFTER I GOT MEDICARE COMPLETE I WAS NOT ABLE TO SEE THE DOCTOR I HAD ON MEDICARE BECAUSE ...I was a member of the hill medical group but that is another story BELIEVE THE REVIEWS YOU READ ABOUT THIS GUY......HE IS ARROGANT & I AM FILING A COMPLAINT FOR SLANDER & WRITING FALSE MEDICAL REPORTS.......not mal practice as that is to broad I JUST TELL THE TRUTH ..............UNLIKE HIM....THE TRUTH DOES SET YOU FREE & you will not find it with him BUT HE WILL SHOW YOU HOW HE LIES....... NOW THAT THE RANT IS OVER \r \r After the last 7 months of being treated by a PAC of the office she LIED TO ME & HIM & HE SUPPORTED HER & SAID THEY COULD NOT BE MY GENERAL PHYSICIAN ANYMORE.........I ASKED FOR A MEDICATION A MONTH AGO TO HELP ME DEAL WITH MY SLEEP DISORDER & WAS TOLD AFTER I GET MY BLOOD PRESSURE DOWN SHE WOULD PRESCRIBE IT. 21 DAYS LATER THEY SENT THE PHARMACY THE REQUEST & I WAS TOLD THAT THEY NEEDED A SCRIPT FOR THE MEDICATION AS IT WAS A CLASS 2 DRUG. DR EISENBUD WAS THE DOCTOR IN CHARGE BUT HE WAS NOT IN THE OFFICE AS HE WAS COVERING FOR THE DOCTOR WHO BOUGHT THE EISENBUD NAME..;.... LONG STORY SHORT ......................................... IF YOU LOVE GOD & THE TRUTH STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE & THE PLACE NEXT DOOR & guess who that doctor is??\r \r good luck everyone more

Dr. Eisenbud was the only one of my 5/25/2012

Dr. Eisenbud was the only one of my doctors who would continue to treat me when we lost our insurance. His wise and accurate advise helped my daughter stop blaming her excess weight on ""hormones"" or ""slow metablolism"", face reality, and lose 50 lbs. Dr. Eisenbud was compassionate, considerate of our financial stresses, and provided excellent care. ~ Connie Neal, Antelope, CA more

Run, Run the Other Way! 5/25/2011

Dr. Eisenbud was completely incompetent. He tested me for progesterone, etc. while I was taking the pill. I'm not a doctor, but hey, I figured out that was probably not O.K. He was also rude, insensitive, dismissive, and completely full of himself, when obviously he had not right to be. I went to another endo, told her what happened and she just stared at me like "" He did what?"" She took me off the pill for a few weeks, then tested me, and sure enough, major issues. Had it not been for my own common sense, I would not have gotten the treatment I needed. more

Come on People 10/1/2010

Just a note to all the people out there that think Dr. Eisenbud is a horrible doctor. He is an amazing Dr. sorry some of you dont like being told the truth YOUR FAT get over it, you came to him to get better right? If it's sypathy you want go to see your mom he's a doctor. He's there to help you not pat you on the back. He knows his stuff highly intellegent. When it comes to thyroid problems for that girl that said you were prago and told you would always have it; stop diagnosing yourself thats where you went wrong. As for appts yes he is always on time you want to know why he doesn't see people if they are late its because you then put him behind with other people that are on time. So if you are ever waiting think about that. Stop being selfish people !!!! more

Here's my thoughts.... 9/27/2010

I want to recommend him....I really do...however, I can't do it until he gets rid of some staff. There is a lady in there who is super nice and helpful, and then there's an evil Cinderella stepsister. She is rude and so not friendly. My favorite is ""Do NOT be late because ""The Doctor"" won't be. He will, in fact, be running on time."" It was all I could do during my 10 minute wait in the waiting room to not go to that counter and say ""Would you like to take back your ""the doctor won't be late"" comment now, or after my appointment?"" But I didn't, so my mother should be proud. \r \r As for the actual doctor. Here's the deal, is he rude? Kinda. Is he to the point? Yep. Is he one of those doctors you pray to the heavens above you are never stuck in an elevator with should it happen to get stuck in between floors? You betcha. But is he pretty knowledgeable about certain endocrine disorders? Yeah, I'd say he is. But there was a sort of disadvantage on my end, I went in with my husband after reading the reviews cause I knew should this dr step out of line, my husband would be there to go to bat for me. He wasn't needed though. I'm not sure if it was due to the fact that he really isn't all that scary, or if he and my husband just so happen to have something in common so they chatted up like old football buddies, or if it was the fact that when he asked what he could do for me I was up front and said ""Doc, I'm fat and due to my condition I keep getting fatter..how do I get my hormone levels down to normal so I can work on losing some weight?"" I truly believe that if you go in there all insecure and offended when he states the obvious ""your obese and if you lose the weight most of your issues will go away"" the two of you might not get along so well. But if you really take a moment to realize that this is true and you look back at him and say ""yes I am aware now what can I do to get this under control?"" he will work with you. And you won't regret it. \r \r So before you go running for the hills, here is my advice:\r \r If you want a good Doctor, he's your man. But you can't be niave and butthurt when he gives it to you straight. \r \r Dr. Eisenbud if you are reading this...the older lady who runs the front desk needs some training stat! more

Took a Chance on Him...Can't Recommend Him 10/16/2009

I was diagnosed with a thyroid disorder about 10 years ago. I lived in another part of the state at the time and had a dr. treat me for this disorder, which helped me to get pregnant. This dr. told me that I would always have this thyroid disorder. I then move to Sacto. I find Dr. Eisenbud. I go to them, they run tests and call me and tell me the results are ""normal,"" no need for any more meds. I was abit skeptical but I had alot on my plate and didn't have time to seek a 2nd opinion. Well, fforward to now. I had a blood test performed at work which showed my levels high. I call this office for a re-check. They run their own test and tell me my levels are normal. This time I ask for specific ranges. When they give them to me, I tell them they're out of whack (one was high, one was low, which indicates a disorder). The nurse tells me the Dr. thought this was acceptable and nothing more to be done. Sheesh. Do I have to self-diagnose myself? I felt like I was dismissed. They also wanted me to take a bunch of other tests and come in for a follow-up. Follow-up for what when apparently they didn't think I had any issues. Sounds like padding the books to me. I am now seeing a new office. Pros: Easy Appointments...Now I know why Cons: Overall Rude and Incompetent more

I really liked him and his staff 9/28/2009

The late policy is tough but he doesn't keep you waiting either, I appreciate that. I guess people are always ready to complain but keep their praise to themselves. One reviewer even castigated him for being short!! I finally feel that I am making progress after two other doctors gave up on me, he really knows his stuff. Although a good bedside manner is not important to me (I just want a doctor who knows his stuff) He has always struck me as competent and concerned. Pros: Very good at what he does Cons: Late policy more

Type 1 diabetics whatch out! 4/15/2009

Unlike other reviews, I thought the staff was fine. I also tried going a few times. Thee strikes this guy was out. I first went because I was getting ready for a Gastric bypass, and needed to have my type 1 diabeties under control. He was a jrk but seemed to know what was going on. The second time was very brief leaving me baffled and having unanswered questions. The third time was 2 weeks after my surgery, I began to have problems with my glucose sugars. I brought in graph's and all data that I had collected on myself after the surgery; he barely glanced at the info told me what I should do, which I had already tried and pointed out on the graph's. To which he changed topic and started telling me about how I'm probably a type 2 diabetic and should test for that by not taking insulin and doing further bld tests.!! I was diagnosed when I was 3 years old (26 yrs ago)and had times in my life when I was under control. I am flabbergasted and can't believe what I've been told. I have made and appointment with another dr and will warn as many as I can to not go to Eisenbud. Pros: nice staff Cons: The Dr. himself more

Avoid Dr. Elliot Eisenbud 10/21/2008

Before i went to see Dr. Eisenbud i did a little research on this guy. Bad Reviews Everywhere!!!!!\r \r I went ahead made appointment. Was 5 min late. Could not find office. Called ahead to say i was late. The un-envolved receptionist told me he left!\r \r What an unprefessional. Won't be going back. Believe every negative review you see on DR. Eisenbud!!!!!!\r \r Avoid Him and his Staff!!!! Cons: Everything more

I will not be going back. 5/13/2008

I've suffered from a female endocrine disorder for 15 years and had an excellent endo. treating me before I moved and got referred to this quack. He basically blamed everything on my weight and refused to treat me for any thing until I lost weight. He did give me a script for Metformin which I'm not even diabetic and he even told me that it wasn't going to do any good but it was the only thing he could do for me. My tests showed my testosterone levels to be really high and way out of range for a woman which also causes weight gain, infertility, and other issues and he refused to treat me for that and just said that when I lost weight the testosterone would go down and the other issues would stop. I had lost 50lbs at this point and was still having the issues and he just told me I needed to lose more. I went to see my OB/GYN and brought all this up to her. She called him and tried to talk to him about it and told me that he was very difficult and that there was no reason why he should not have treated my condition. Because of her I am currently working with a dietician, taking meds to lower the testosterone and actually being taken seriously as a patient. I believe that he is bias against overweight people and if you are not thin and attractive, he will never take you seriously or help you. Any weight is a cause and never a symptom to him although with my condition you can read any study and see that it is a symptom of the condition and it's extremely hard to lose and as an endo. he should know that. \r \r I think he is arrogant, rude, egotistical, and a chauvanist pig and someone needs to take him down off his pedestal. He is certainly not the God or royalty that he thinks he is. His staff isn't the best either. They're not real friendly. It's very cold and methodical when you come in. No Hi how are you or even a hello. Just sign in and give me your insurance card and sit there. Like you're simply cattle being herded thru the gate. Cons: Too many more

Staff Needs training in Patient Relations 3/24/2008

While on vacation, my husband and I fell ill with a severe case of the flu. We were on the opposite coast and had a pharmacy call and request an emergency prescription for my husband's insulin. We had been out of medicine for an entire day before we found a pharmacy with the correct prescription in stock. Dr. Eisenbud's office manager felt it necessary to berate my husband for ""waiting too long"", told my husband she refused to disturb Dr. Eisenbud to get his signature on the prescription, refused to listen to the fact that the time different meant that the pharmacy was closing and my husband's sugar level was approaching 300 plus, then hung up when he became distressed. When I called back and spoke to her, asking her if she could be so kind as to please assist me and explain to me why she was insisting on following standard protocol for a prescription request instead of following emergency protocol, she told me that she had no intention of interrupting the doctor, told me that she was going to put me on hold because she had other things to do. When I asked her if she had had any customer service training, she told me that she had worked at an Albertson's supermarket for four years. I personally have 25 years of experience in customer service and work as an executive secretary with a Vice President in charge of Contact Center Operations for a large insurance company. I found her tone to be highly offensive, her comments to be highly aggravating, especially to someone in physical distress, no effort to be conciliatory, and, had my husband suffered due to her lack of diligence and bad humor, I would not have hesitated to hold the doctor's office and her, legally and personally accountable, for her bad behavior. Dr. Eisenbud and his staff would be well advised to take courses on patient/doctor relations because, no matter how competent or good Dr. Eisenbud's medical knowledge may be, his office customer service practices leave a huge gap in his appearance. more

GREAT STAFF 2/19/2008

The staff are wonderful and very helpful. I can always get through on the phone, very little hold time too. I can always get an appointment within an acceptable time frame. the doctors are wonderful as well, they really seem like they care they are compassionate ask allot of questions. Pros: Can get through on the phone, good appointment times, office staff are wonderfull, good care Cons: IM not a big fan of the parking spaces at the building more

Good Experience!! 2/7/2008

I don't know what doctor you saw but I thought he was great. His staff was friendly and there was plenty of parking. He asked me several questions and listened to my answers. I had no problems at all. maybe you need to give him another chance!! more

Worst Doctor's Office Ever!!!! 7/1/2007

I have never been so disappointed with a doctor and a doctor's staff as much as this place. It took them forever to diagnose me, and when they finally did, they rescheduled me for a 2 day exam that I had already taken. When I called to question them, the ""know-it-all"" staff member tried to convince me that the test was a new and different one. I called nuclear medicine to double-check, and they said that I did not require the test again and it was indeed the same exam I had already had, and that Dr. Eisenbud's office didn't know what they were talking about. I went back to nuclear medicine to go for my treatment options, and they were surprised that Eisenbud never followed up with me to go over my treatment options before sending me to them. I swtiched doctor's, got treatment without having to go through nuclear medicine, and am almost 100% better now. It only took 3 crappy months of being sick and working with the worst doctor and incompetent office staff ever. Pros: Good magazines in waiting area. Cons: Rude, inconsiderate, uneducated staff. more

Run the other way! 6/9/2007

Dr. Eisenbud was one of the worst doctors I've even seen. He was short, arrogant, rude, and impersonal. It was a good thing I already had a diagnosis, because he maybe spent five minutes with me, rapidly firing off questions, barely giving me a chance to respond. He then berated me for not dieting and exercising consistently, asking ""why"" I didn't several times and then told me that I need to do what other people that have my disorder do and ""get skinny"". As a result of my disorder, I am infertile and had to do infertility treatments to have my first and only child. Upon leaving, Dr. Eisendbud told me that I was lucky I had one child and I should ""be happy with that."" He ordered some tests which I had done the next day. Someone from his office staff called me with the ""results"". She said that they were clinically insignificant for my disorder, whatever that means, and that was it. Dr. Eisenbud did not call me and explain the test results. Dr. Eisenbud's office staff also leaves a lot to be desired. They present as very unhappy and like they hate their jobs. But, I guess I would, too, if I worked for Dr. Eisenbud. Cons: Rude, arrogant, short, unhelpful more

Awesome Doctor 5/30/2007

You always hear about the bad but never about the good. For some reason the bad about people is always more interesting to talk about. I saw Dr. Eisenbud for my diabetes and he was wonderful. He got my sugars under control and I even lost 50 pounds. He was aware that I didn't have insurance at the time when I first saw him so he told me to try to get insurance before he ordered the test he needed done. I thought that was very nice of him to think of. Paying out of of pocket for tests can be very pricey. I got on my wife's insurance and got all my tests done. I was able to call in or fax my sugar readings to him without having to go in for an appointment every time. When I did go in for appointments I didn't have to wait long periods of time to be seen, he was always on time, unlike other doctors I've seen. I was prescribed a medicine that needed a prior authorization through my insurance but he gave me samples to get me by until the insurance approved it. My pharmacy notified the office and the staff started the process to get the prior authorization for me. The staff was helpful and pleasant. When I was referred to the office they told me that I had to have my primary care doctor fax over my records, they told me that this needed to be done so that the doctor could review my records and make sure I needed to see him. I felt that was thoughtful not to waste my time and money and the insurance's money on a visit that was not needed. Overall I had a wonderful experience with this office and will continue to go back. I would also highly recommend anyone I knew who had a diabetic problem to see him. He seems to know his stuff!! Pros: on time, knowledgeable, states the facts doesn't dance around the problem Cons: could have better parking more

Office Staff? He may as well not have one!! 5/2/2007

My Primary Care Physician's Office sent him repeated referrals for an appointment. Each time I called his office, the staff claimed that they did not receive them. I finally offered to hand-carry a referral. Surprise! they found it!!\r \r I finally saw Dr. Eisenbud got appointment , and obtained a prescription requiring a prior authoriization. My pharmacy sent repeated faxes (gave me copies - I was present when they sent it!). I called his office. His staff recommended I go to a different pharmacy as my pharmacy was irresponsible and did not follow up. \r \r I called my pharmacy again to follow up. Dr. Eisenbud's office took no responsibility for anything. No apologies; everything was something else' fault. They are curt and short with callers. \r \r I have written an e-mail to my primary care physician requesting a referral to another endocrinologist. It does no good to get a referral and then have no results. Cons: No follow-up; Staff is not responsible more

Very dangerous and arrogant doctor 4/18/2007

Dr. Eisenbud is a dangerous doctor. His arrogance may preclude a proper diagnosis. If your condition is textbook you may have success with this quack, but if it requires intellect and sensitivity, forget about it.\r \r I feel as though this man stole my money and is dangerous and an impostor.\r \r Run, run as fast as you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: I didn't immediately die in his office Cons: knows enough to be dangerous more

THEY HAVE NO COMPASSION 2/15/2007

I had been trying to get my mom in to see Dr. Eisenbud for about 3 weeks and they hold up was they said they never received the faxed Rx from the primary care phys. I can understand a fax getting lost once but it was faxed an additonal 3 times and the front desk still said they did not receive it and for us not to call and bother them again until they call us. I have been in the Medical field myself for about 20 years and if i ever spoke to a patient like that I would be fired. I am sure that the Dr is aware of what is going on because even our primary care physcian tried to call the Doctors office and was not put through. I know somethimes their are missunderstanding but this is far past that.\r \r Pamela Pros: was told he was good at what he did Cons: the staff is rude, you cant get an appointment more

Avoid this establishment 2/9/2007

Although doctor was nice at times, he didn't really improve my health condition. Actually I got worst. The staff was ok but was not that helpful either. They did mess up my appointment one time which wasted my time. Definitely stay away and I'm happy with my new doctor. Take care. Pros: Parking is ok Cons: lousy service more
