This is not a run of the mill jewelers. The jeweler, Anne, custom makes rings for people, especially committment rings, which can be in three different languages, and you design. Same sex couples can be very comfortable going there at least we were and so were our friends we are a transgender couple.My partner and I and good friends all got our committment rings there and were very happy with them. Yes, the jeweler is a bit quirky, you may set a date with her, but she doesn't like to guarrantee the date because she wants to do a good job and that's how she is. If you have a ceremony coming up it's plan for about 5 weeks at least from the time you go in select, decide on designs, approve the design (which she sent to us by fax). And let her know the date of your ceremony so you can work that out! We got white gold because it will last longer than plain silver and I didn't want gold. We had Hebrew and English inscribed. They are gorgouse. more

Tasteful Selection Of Jewelry 1/31/2011

The store is good at is making unique, custom rings (melted down from raw gold and formed by hand) and it's good at having a consistent, tasteful selection of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. more

We went on to look at other jewelry stores in Elmwood and Rockridge, and ended up back at Edelweiss a couple of hours later, and purchased the first ring. She only purchases diamonds from conflict-free sources more

My partner and I and some good friends all got our commitment rings here and were very happy with them. You may set a date with her but she doesn't like to guarantee the date because she wants to do a good job and that's how she is. more

Very Creative custom made bands for us: The owner and Jeweler, Anne, gave us a lot of her time to explore ways to make custom wedding bands. We were really pleased with results and even more with after service, when she re-sized one band for us. Nice people. we would go back for other things. more

Custom work 9/27/2010

I came here several times while wedding ring shopping. I really liked the owner--yes she is a little quirky--but clearly knows her stuff. We almost bought a reproduction she made of a 1920s-style engagement ring, but in the end we settled on a different ring. Anne was low-pressure with sales and obviously showed a lot of pride in the custom work she did for other people. I would definitely give her my business in the future. more
