Eclipse Sunless Tanning

Feet and hands are embarrassing. Got this done for an event and not sure what I am going to do. Would not recommend this place. more

I got spray tanned here for a special event and I was so happy with the results. I always hated spray tanning in the booths due to uneven streaks and funky looking feet and hands. I was nervous to do this airbrush spray tan because you have to be naked in front of a stranger! EEEK! but she made me feel very comfortable and told me to undress to my comfort. She was very professional and sweet. I will always come back here for my airbrush tans! It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for! more

I have been a customer at Eclipse Sunless Tanning for the past three years, and up until about a month ago, I would have echoed all of the amazing reviews. I used their versaspa spray on tan machine 2-3 times a month during that time. The staff was wonderful, remembered me by name, and were always ready to help. A little over a month ago all of the staff I had grown accustomed to were replaced by a new crew without explanation. The new employees are beyond rude. Last Friday I went in for a spray tan, and the machine was only spraying air and no tanning solution. I went out and told them and they told me to wait in the room while they remedied the issue. No problem. It was not their fault the machine was being temperamental. However, after waiting 20 minutes for them to fix it, when I got in the machine it proceed to splatter me with the dye instead of evenly distributing it. I tried to rub it in, and when I went out I told them about it and went on my way. I understood the problem, although they did not seem all that interested in fixing it. After going home, I had to take a shower and rinse off the spotted mess so it had been a total waste of time. This afternoon, I went back to get my much needed spray tan. This time only one of the nozzles worked. Once again I went out and told the woman. Instead of being helpful, she accused me of lying saying no one else had experienced an issue with it today so she did not believe me. I was shocked. It was quite obvious I only had dye on one side of my body. She told me to go back in the room while they checked it. Her tone was like she was sending a naughty child to sit in time out. I could not believe she was speaking to me like that so I went into the waiting room for a moment, and then I finally realized I did not have to be treated like that. I just told them to credit the session back to my account which they begrudgingly did and left. I proceeded to go to another tanning place down the street and they gladly fixed the mess for me. I have multiple sessions left on my Elipse Sunless Tanning account, but I am tempted not to go back. What used to be a wonderful business has been completely destroyed by their rude staff. more

I've been a happy customer of Eclipse for over two years now. When I have the time to plan ahead, I LOVE the airbrush tanning. The new VersaSpa sunless tanning machine works great too if you're in a hurry. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Heck, they even greet you by name as you walk in the door. I've never had such level of customer service at any chain tanning salons. The service, the equipment, and the cleanliness of this salon makes it my only choice for indoor tanning in Houston. more

I wouldn't tan anywhere else! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They give detailed explanations of everything so you always know what to expect. The products and equipment are all high quality and well maintained, and everything is very clean and welcoming! I would recommend Eclipse Sunless Tanning to anyone!! Happy tanning!! more

Eclipse sunless tanning is by far the best place to get a tan in Houston. I've used their airbrush tanning many times over the last 3 years and I keep going back for more! My tan always looks amazing and I get compliments on it all the time. I've recently started using the collagen bed and am extremely happy with that as well. more

Great staff. You feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. I have used them for spray tanning for over a year and have always had A plus service. The rooms are CLEAN and always equipped with fresh towels, etc. I think the few negative reviews you find here are mostly businesses trying to promote themselves over Eclipse because from personal experience I don't find them to be truthful. Good luck. I have tried many different places around Houston and hands down Eclipse is THE place to go for a gorgeous tan. I always receive compliments after I've been, even on day 1. Don't forget to call first for appointments. They do such a good job it's hard for them to accommodate a walk-in for a spray tan (call a couple of days in advance). If you don't have an appointment and are in a hurry, the booths are 10 times better than the Mystic ones. I was nervous for my first spray tan appointment because I'm usually pretty modest. No need to worry! They are so professional--you are made to feel extremely comfortable and the rooms are very private. You cannot go wrong with Eclipse. Bottom line- for that natural looking, long lasting, golden tan--Eclipse rocks. Pros: Professional staff, prompt service, great job. Cons: None. more

I have been an Eclipse customer for several years and wouldn't go anywhere else. The airbrush tanning application is done well by every staff member. They do a great job of customizing the application for a client's skin tone and the season. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the products. I recently upgraded to a package that includes the tanning beds to get ready for a vacation. They patiently explained the different types of lotion and ultimately recommended a product that was best suited for me. Pros: Variety of tanning options, pricing--packages never expire more

Eclipse sunless tanning is awesome. I have been with them for 5 years now and I love their friendly staff. The spray tan artists on staff are so good at what they do that eveyone always thinks my tan is natural. I get complements daily. I would, and have recomended their services for years. I have a membership for the spray booth & it is the most natural looking tan ever! Sooooo much better than the Mystic, in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and professional. I recently had an airbrush tan b/c I was going on a cruise and it looked SO awesome! It lasted me pretty much for the entire week! This place is great!! Initially, I started going to Eclipse almost a year ago for their exceptional UV beds. You can get a better tan in 10 mins in their intermediate or "gold beds" than you can going for 20 mins in some of the top level beds of other salons. They have a great stand-up bed too, if you don't like laying down. The rooms are ALWAYS clean with fresh towels and free disposable eye protection. After a few weeks of UV tanning I became curious about the airbrush tanning that this place seems famous for. The manager and staff eagerly explained the whole process and equipment to me, and I decided to give it a try. The manager herself applied my 1st airbrush and I couldn't believe the results! When my friends all started raving and accusing me of taking an impromptu trip to Mexico, I knew airbrushing was my new favorite way to tan, AND it's 100% safe for my skin. The staff here are extremely friendly while being totally professional, and they know me (and all of the other customers) by name. They have great products and lotions too, and no one tries to pressure sell you crap you don't need. Bottom line: this is the only tanning salon for me. Great friendly staff! The place is ALWAYS clean. The beds always have all the bulbs working and are CLEAN. There is always a clean towel and disposible eye protection waiting. I used to tan at one of the big chains. It was closer to my home but it was horrible. A friend recommended Eclipse and I have been going for almost three years now! The manager is nice and friendly and they recognize me and know my name when I walk in. In fact they currently have the best staff working there in all of the three years I have been going. If you want to buy products they will help you if not they DO NOT push them on you. It is a VERY casual and relaxed enviornment. Ok let me start off saying that i have never be air brushed before and I was a little scared I was going to look orange but a friend told me about it so i went ahead and did it right before my sisters graduation. I was air brushed by Debbie and she was very professional (i have never been naked in front of another person besides my boyfriend). She made me feel very comfortable and everything was very clean and neat. And oh the best part! My tan looked awesome! I got soooo many compliments on how bronzy i looked! I was a novice at sunless tanning, but the girls at Eclipse went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and explain how the process would work. I have been a customer at Eclipse since they opened. They are such nice people and take such good care of their clients. The tanning beds are super comfortable, and big! The fans work really well, so you stay cool. The place is always very clean and I feel extremely comfortable there. I think their prices are better than anywhere else I've gone in Houston and they don't try to keep you hostage forever. I guess they don't have to. I recommend them to all my friends in the area...even if they just work downtown, it's so easy to stop by on the way home! Pros: Great workers, comfortable beds Cons: Parking at lunch more

I planned on getting spray tanned for my wedding so I went in for a trial run about a month ahead - thank god because it came out horrible. I have tan lines on both my wrists, big circles under my arms; my hands were totally missed and on my feet, some parts got sprayed and other parts didn't. What parts they did spray were waaay too dark for me (or anyone really) and it even looked orange and noticably fake! Now that my tan has been fading it looks even worse. It's not fading evenly - it's all splotchy so my skin looks bruised or something. I will not be returning ever again. I think I'd rather apply tanning lotion than trust these people again. The manager is rude and unprofessional, be ready to hear endless gossip about her life, and everyone elses. the "techs "are un-qualified, the airbursh technigue is dated, the beds are dirty, the venilation in the air bursh room is poorly venilated. The bulbs are often out, and there is usually a wait, this location was meant to be a shop, not a tanning store, there is always a wait for there limited choice of beds.. Pros: .. I've driven past Eclipse a million times and never went, since I was "under contract" to Darque Tan. Once I finally got out of that, I checked this place out. They're great. I'm fair skinned and freckled and don't tan well in beds, but Eclipse offers airbrush tanning. I gave it a try, and it was great! It's the darkest I've ever been, and much safer, too. I've done it a few times already and still use their beds, but not nearly as often, just enough to keep some "real" color. It lasts me about a week, so I just try to go every week or so for the airbrush and whenever I can for the beds. Really nice employees. Bang-up job! I came here for a bridal tan, it was awful, and orange, I was airbrushed by the manager, it defintally wasn't my skin type, I was sprayed at Spa Nordstrom and my skin took it so well. Anyway I will never ever go back to this place, and the atmosphere was soooo negative! I STRONGLY SUGGEST ELSEWHERE! Pros: Nothing Cons: bad atmosphere more
