Eastview Veterinary Clinic

Beware of which doctor you see...the clinic itself is clean, the receptionists are very kind and pleasant, and a few of the vets are wonderful, but in my latest experience I was given the opportunity to work with Dr. Fahnestock. My cat has a non life threatening skin condition and instead of drawing blood, doing a skin scrape or a culture, his ""professional opinion"" was to euthanize her. This infuriated me...she is 2 and a half and as he spoke, she was rolling around playing on the table. I know my cat and she is very OCD when it comes to scratching, so we just tried to tell him she needed something to help stop the irritation and the wound would heal. Instead he suggests we put her down and then tries to sell us a $55 bag of hypo allergenic cat food. He barely even touched her and did not prescribe any medication or suggest anything that might help. I have heard that even people who work with him call him ""Dr. Death"" because he always tries to euthanize animals instead of helping them.. Because of this, I will not be returning to Eastview. more

With three dogs and three cats, you can guess that I've gotten to know these folks quite well. I've always been impressed with the veterinary staff there and the counter staff is quite efficient. Be prepared to wait in the waiting area, however, even if you've made an appointment. I guess that attests to the quality of their work, right? I try to get the first appt of the day and that seems to help out. Good care for my pets - that's what's important to me. more

I have had nothing but great experiences with this place. Great facilities, nice prices, excellent, caring vets and staff. Very informative, always available to answer questions. Their emergency service for clients has been very helpful on many occasions....always only a phone call away! Wait times are a bit long to get in for an appointment, and then to get into an exam room to see a doctor, but well worth the wait. Any clinic that takes the time to make every patient and "mom" feel like they are the most important thing going on....no matter how busy they seem to be...is worth ten times the wait more

This is by far the best Vet Clinic I have ever gone to. Not only are the staff friendly and helpful, but the environment is all around positive and upbeat. The staff makes you feel like you're an elite client and the most important person they are working with. Everyone is kind and considerate to your exact needs and requests and they bend over backwards to be sure that your pet leaves happy and healthy. \r I would recommend Eastview to everyone! Not only because of the staff but because of the fact that only a first class Clinic can make your pet and yourself feel this special and good. more

This facility is clean and has several vets to work with you. They have a large staff - which is a bit of an issue as each person is limited to their job task and you tend to get referred around the office from person to person. The vets and assistants are efficient. They seem to care about animals. Don't expect to see the same provider on each visit - it is possible to arrange appointments with the same veterinarian, however you have to wait a while to do so. Our pets have been patients there for many years. Until one of our pets died from a breed specific illness, I had complete trust in their care of my animals. It was surprising to me that the vets and assistants never even mentioned the symptoms of the illness or what to do to prevent or treat it should it occur. Now I am not sure that this is the best place to use if you want a veterinary clinic that offers total health care. Great veterinarian's clinic. Nice clean building. Staff are just great and love the animals. Explain thoroughly what their doing and are great at following up. more
