Great Exam and Contact Lens Fitting 1/20/2011

I visited Dr. Wynne a week ago to have my eyes checked and have her do a contact lens fitting. I was very impressed by the level of professionalism offered at East Side Vision Care. It is also a comfortable office and I found the staff friendly. Quick and easy and free parking. One person commented that it was hard to find. I'd just look for the Redmond transit center and head one (or two) more block(s) down. Great service! I definitely recommend it. more

Quality Local Eye Care in Redmond 2/23/2010

Dr. Wynne is a thorough and competent professional in the Redmond area. Her office features a friendly staff, the latest equipment, and a large selection of glasses frames on site. Although the office is difficult to find, it is in a comfortable, soothing and peaceful location not far from the center of town.\r Pros: Competent local eye care in Redmond Cons: Office difficult to find more

Rude doctor, poor service 3/25/2009

I went to Dr. Wynne for a couple of years but everntually found a new optometrist due to her demeanor and poor service. After doing some tests on my eyes, she told me I was at high risk for Glaucoma and that I needed to see a specialist. Fine. I asked her two questions about what glaucoma was and why she thought I had it. After that she curtly said, ""Ok, I'm done answering questions about this."" I'm sorry, but I'm the customer and I'll tell you when I'm done asking questions. Furthermore, I booked an appt with the Glaucoma specialist and asked Dr. Wynne's office to send over my records. They never did and I ended up having to pay out of pocket for the specialist to do all of the tests that Dr. Wynne did again.\r \r A couple of other issues. I had a scratched cornea which she thoroughly shamed me about-not sure how this was my fault. She said she would only give me a glasses perscription. I was leaving for a trip to Asia in 4 weeks and wanted to take the perscription to Lenscrafters to ensure I could get my glasses in time. She insisted Lenscrafters wouldn't do an adequate job and that I buy glasses from her instead. She promised a 2 week turnaround for my glasses. Long story short, 4 weeks later on the morning of my trip I had to drive an hour away to pick up my glasses from the factory where they outsourced the work. They hadn't added the scratch resistant coating I paid for and no one could fit them for me. No apology from Dr. Wynne about the poor service and I had to call her back repeatedly to ensure that I got glasses, in some form, before I left for me trip. Pros: Easy to get an appointment Cons: Rude doctor, poor service more

If you want to wait 4 weeks for a prescription & talked down to, then Dr Wynne is what your looking for 11/17/2008

I never write reviews, so you know this was bad. I was looking for the next available Optometrist and this place had the same day available for an appointment, now I see why. She was very rude and condescending and talked to me as if she thought I didn't understand English (granted I'm asian but I was born here!), if i wanted to be talked down to by some random person that thought she was better than me, I would just go to Ann Coulter's house. I would never recommend her to anybody but the devil, if he could even stand her. I was forced to pay for a contact fitting that I didn't need because I already knew what brand I wanted to use and she never fitted me for a different brand, having to pay another $50. Now I have to sit and wait until she can check my eyes, AGAIN (3rd Time) before I can even get a prescription and its been almost 4 weeks (I've always received a same day prescription and had it filled within days). I have been getting my contacts prescription renewed and filled for the last 15 years and never had a more horrible experience. Don't waste your time, money, or self respect. I honestly believe that her receptionists gave her those good reviews (they are the best part of that office) and no one in their right mind could have enjoyed any type of experience with Dr Wynne. Frizz Eaze and a tic tac, lady. Pros: Receptionists are nice, parking Cons: Dr. Wynne: Rude & disrespectful, weeks wait for prescriptions, expensive, time consuming more

Great LOCAL care 8/8/2008

Dr. Wynne was friendly and open to taking extra precautions for my sensitive eyes -- she used special lights on her instruments and gave me eye drops to help me through. I feel that I had a comprehensive exam because I found a much better prescription than my last and I was able to get a new pair of glasses within a few days. While the practice is small, I think it was well maintained, professional, and relaxed. I highly recommend it. Pros: Service, relaxed expedience, comprehensiveness, parking Cons: I don't like things near my eyes -- but that's just personal... more

Very Compressive Exam and Excellent facility 3/14/2008

Great Personnel: Dr. Wynne has a professional, but friendly demeanor. She gave me a very thorough exam and offered me advice with my glasses. When I was done with my appointment, Dr. Wynne's receptionist was more-than-willing to fix my broken glasses. \r \r Great Facility: While waiting for my appointment, I noticed that the clinic offers a wide variety of frames with some of the metal styles I like. I plan on returning to Eastside Vision Care for new glasses when my current glasses fail me again. \r \r Summary -- I highly recommend Dr. Wynne?s exam and my refreshing experience at Eastside Vision Care. Pros: Thoroughness of exam, friendly receptionist, refreshing office (windows!), and Great access -- Downtown Redmond a little off from the heavy traffic areas Cons: Just one doctor, but I didn't have trouble making an appointment more

don't go, even as a last resort. 8/10/2007

the doctor was terrible. she was rude and had the personality of a doorknob. she insisted that i buy my contacts through her and when i didn't want to got very upset and said that no matter where i went, i wouldnt be able to get contacts immediately, even a sample pair. i scheduled an appointment w/ another optometrist the next day and got a pair of contacts. and she has terrible hair. Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

Read this if you value your time, money and sanity 3/1/2007

On some cursed day I walked through Dr. Susan's office. She was nice on the first visit, but insisted (even though I told her that my current contact lenses are fine) that should be 'fitted' for lenses whether I wanted to or no and that it was going to cost me an additional $ 50.00 from my pocket. Considering that I have an amazing insurance, $ 50.00 over that seemed a little too much to me. After trying 3 pairs of ill fitting lenses (her way of checking my lenses and the color on her face had turned awful by then), she finally came back to my original contact lenses (I had been wearing the same brand for 8 years now) saying they were the best fit. And when I was finally ready to place an order for lenses with some other company, they found out that there was an error in the prescription that she had handed out !!! AFTER 10 WEEKS of going back and forth her office, I finally managed to get a prescription and finally my lenses are on their way. I WOULD RECOMMEND DR. SUSAN TO MY ENEMIES, so that they can stay unhappy (no lenses), blind (no lenses), in pain (bad fitting lenses), busy (running around to her office all the time) and broke. Pros: car parking Cons: TERRIBLE AND PAINFUL EYE CARE more

Great Exam, Customer Service, Easy Billing, Good Location 8/1/2006

Excellent Exam- very thorough. Unlike some offices that I have been to where the focus is on selling you frames and then taking care of your eye issues (maybe), here the focus is on a wholistic approach to eye health. Pros: Service and care more

Excellent eye exam 7/13/2006

Located in downtown Redmond, this practice is nearby my work and offers great service. I found my eye exam very thorough as Dr. Wynne examined my eyes using many instruments and a professional demeanor. Overall the practice was aesthetically pleasing featuring a large eyeglass frame display, many windows and friendly staff. more

second visit left me feeling bad about myself. 4/13/2006

I had a follow up visit with doctor Wynne. She asked if i wanted to order some contacts and i said that, yes, i would like to but that i wanted to use Acuvue lenses instead of the ones that she had fitted me for. She followed by getting a little bit angry and telling me that i should have told her that during the first appointment, and that it was a waste of time that i hadnt told her beforehand. I explained to her that i wasnt aware that i had to let her know what brand i wanted because, me not being the professional optomotrist like her, didnt know that there was a difference. She finished with asking me if the ones i was fitted for would do, and i said ""i guess so"" and she said ""well then, they are fine. thank you."" Pros: parking, front desk clerk Cons: bad service, unsatisfactory return more
