I recommend EASTSIDE ANIMAL HOSPITAL 2/15/2011

The one thing i should say. if your parents are on a fixed income and cannot afford pet care, they should not have a pet. What if you have an emergency and they have to take the dog, and have no money. You cannot take care of it. So when you have a pet, make sure you can afford it. Second, i recommend them getting pet insurance with VPI. you can google that. I have it through my work. You pay up front but get the majority of it back. I took my puppy there last week, He got hit by a car when he got out of the apartment. I took him there, and they took care of him.I did not have the money till the next day, but they did what they could. His little paw was so swollen, that they would not have seen anything on the xray. They gave him a pain shot and sent him home. He is doing great now. more

EASTSIDE - DISHONEST BUSINESS 11/19/2010

WHAT A RIP OFF!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND !!! \r THEY ARE DISHONEST !!!\r \r My parents took their dog to be neutered. They had called twice to confirm the price of $65 quoted to them by Eastside. When they picked him up, they were told the bill would be $229.00. Eastside had given the dog shots he had gotten last month. My parents provided the list of shots the dog had last month to them. They gave the dog a "BARK" Shot ..... they said the dog needed this shot, especially if he were to go be groomed and another dog at the groomers had a "BARK" disease. \r \r My parents are on a fixed income. The extra $164.00 charge is not right, especially when they were quoted $65.00 and had confirmed the price twice. \r \r If they had not paid the $229.00, Eastside was going to keep their dog !!! What's a person to do ... you are attached to your pet ... they are your family... especially when you are elderly (80's) and they are your companion.\r \r Eastside RIPPED my parents Off !!! T more

What a RIP OFF! 9/15/2010

This place is only interested in getting as much of your money as possible! I have checked with other local vets since they tried to charge me nearly triple what it should have been! They said they had to do extra work that the other vets said was not necessary. I love my pets but I will never go back there again! more

A Great Place to Take Your Pets 5/13/2008

I really enjoy the quality of care my animals receive at Eastside. The staff is highly trained and knowledgeable. The doctors are warm and friendly, and show a general concern for you pets. They consider pets family as well. The prices aren't the cheapest around, nor are they the highest. You have to be willing to pay for the latest advancements in treatment and technology. Another quality I can truly appreciate, is the fact that they are accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). I don't think this means a lot to very many people because most of the protocols and procedures take place behind closed doors and your normal clientele don't get to see this side. It really makes a huge difference though when your talking about sterile surgical procedures and proper blood work before administration of certain medications. I've seen clinics, during surgical procedures, where they neglect to wear surgical gowns, masks, or caps. This is a big deal to me, I'd never go to a do more

Eastside Animal Hospital Excellent Service 11/16/2005

Eastside Animal Hospital is a fine example of what every animal hospital should be. You walk into the front door, sign in and take a seat with your pet. Very little wait and they call your pets name. They weigh your pet and show you to an exam room. Everything is clean and orderly. Again, your wait is minimal, then the veterinary assistant comes in and asks you questions about your pet. They leave and the veterinarian comes in with the veterinary assistant. The veterinarian examines your dog, gives any shots that are necessary, and tells you about the health of your pet. The veterinarian is very warm and caring toward your pet. If your pet needs to be tested for heartworm, the vet will leave the room, and you will wait until the test is done. The vet comes back in the room and you are finished. You walk to the receptionist counter and get heartworm pills and pay your bill. PROS: Great service, minimal wait, clean and orderly CONS: more
