East of Eden Salon is an experience you don't want to miss!!! I have naturally curly hair and am extremely picky on who cuts/colors/styles my hair. I was referred by a friend of mine who said that Kimvan was an expert with naturally curly hair. That's an understatement!! I have been going to Kimvan now for many, many years and have never had more compliments on my hair color and cut. All the stylists are very qualified and everyone goes the extra mile on pampering their clients. I recommend you try them out as I'm sure you'll be glad you did!! more

Never been this happy with a haircut before.If you want a cut that brings out your best features then this is the place to go.I went to Kim and she did an amazing job with my hair plus taught me how to style it so I would be able to style it myself. first time ever in my life that a stylist has ever done that. Now there products are also the best.I am so thankful that I found this shop.The staff are also very nice and helpful.I encourage you if your looking for a outstanding salon this is it you will not be sorry.this has been life changing for me. WOW! AMAZING! ASTONISHING! LIFE CHANGING! I am currently 25 years old. For years I have wanted to do something different with my hair. Throughout my life I have been told I look 5-10 years younger than I am. I suppose that would be nice if I was older, but when you are 25 and someone thinks you look 18 its hard to take that as a compliment! Every time I go to get a haircut I ask for suggestions from the stylist. Usually they say well maybe add some layers, or let?s just trim it. Well, I have had trims and layers for years, but my hair was still not framing my face, still making me look young, and still frizzy. I asked Kim if she had any ideas for my hair and she said yes! She didn?t him haw around waiting for me to try and make up an idea, she actually helped me. Then she went to town snipping, layering, thinning, and face framing. During this time she taught me how to style it so that the back would have more volume and how to keep my curls from frizzing. When I went to work the next morning my co-workers could not stop talking about the new look; even my male principal complimented me! Never in my whole life have I received so many compliments on my hair in one day! I would highly recommend this salon to anyone, especially those with curly hair! This was my first time at this salon, and I was initially a little off put by the location of it; as it located in a strip mall and the salon is rather small and a bit dated on the interior. But the customer service definitely makes up for the appearance. I have been to many salons and always end up leaving slightly disappointed at their level of customer service, but I was very pleasantly surprised with my recent visit. I was greeted immediately by my stylist Rachel, who offered me something to drink right away and had a very positive and upbeat attitude. Usually a stylist spends maybe five minutes at the most when they are going through their initial consultation with you, but Rachel spent at least 10 minutes if not more. This was very impressive to me that she took the time to be really thorough. I liked that she was very sensitive to the fact that I have very fine hair and really customized my haircut specifically to my needs. I liked that she really took the time to explain every product that she was going to use and how it was going to make my hair look better. I liked that she took the time to show me how to keep my style once I left the salon. Overall I would definitely recommend this salon. It was a breath of fresh air to leave the salon feeling like your stylist actually enjoys their job and was excited to give you a great hair cut. I got the best haircut and color ever! They gave me exactly what I wanted, I love that they use products from local companies. I also got a my nails dine while I was processing. I love that they can team up and get things done together. Highly recommend this place. more

I went to this place because outside was huge sign ""Walk ins Welcome"" First off should have told me they were not busy at all! This was a while ago i had went in there, but none was at the front desk to greet me. Then when i was getting my hair cut this women next to me older she was a stylist there and she was crying about something with her client.. Thats kinda weird!! I found out later that she was the owner/ manager, and she was crying to her client about a divorce she was going through... That was kinda weird... As for what was said above about spending at fortune at salon spas.. I still would have spend the same amout there as another spa for services and other spas i have been to have been alot more upscale then this place! But on a lighter note the hair cut was ok.. Pros: was really quite Cons: alot of tension with the stylist crying... more
