We contacted two different driving schools and decided on East End because it appeared more professional and solid than the other place. Our son quickly felt comfortable with Bill, the instructor. In addition to passing his road test on the first attempt, our son now knows all the important traffic safety rules and is teaching his parents... Thanks Bill. We wanted our son to get an honest evaluation of his driving skills before taking his road test, so I stopped by the driving school and spoke with Bill. I explained that we wanted a professional assessment and the necessary instruction to be sure our son was road test ready, Our son was very comfortable with Bill, and felt his teaching was much more helpful than that of his local high school's Driver Education instructors. We truly appreciated all that Bill taught our son in just 4 lessons, and he passed his road test the first time. I wish I would have came here first. He's one of the nicest men I've met and really helps you understand everything you need to know for passing your roadtest and safe driving. When I came to Bill I had never driven a car and after a month of lessons (about 1 a week) I passed my road test with zero points off. I failed my first driving test, and then took about 5 lessons from Bill. I learned so much and passed my driving test this morning! I am a much more confident driver now. I definitely recommend taking lessons from Bill!!! more

After a valiant attempt to teach our teenage son how to drive my wife and I decided to call EED School. Raising a teenager is like trying to nail Jell-O to a wall let alone teaching them how to driving. After his first lesson my wife and I breathed a sigh of relief! They are VERY unreliable, rude and lack the people skills necessary in working with the public. My daughter had a 10:30 a.m. driving lesson (in addition to her road test) scheduled with East End. At 10:15 a.m. on the morning of her private lesson Bill called me ranting, ""WHERE ARE YOU! I HAVE BEEN HERE SINCE 10:00!"" I told him I was only a block away and that the lesson wasn't until 10:30. He became very belligerent and stated, ""NO! IT IS 10:00! I CANNOT GIVE YOUR DAUGHTER A 10:30 LESSON BECAUSE I HAVE ANOTHER LESSON SCHEDULED FOR 11:00!"" I said, ""Are you kidding? I have the notes from our conversation setting up this lesson and it clearly states 10:30."" And as I was proceeding to tell him that I had to take off from work and was losing a day's pay to get my daughter there, he hung up on me! He did not even try to rectify the situation. Be weery of this company! They are not reliable! I am obviously not using them for my daughter's road test anymore! My daughter would have been devastated if they had pulled this on the day of her road test! more

Bill, thank you so much for teaching my daughter how to drive this summer. We had put it off a bit too long and were worried that we wouldn't get it done in time for her to drive her own car back to school upstate. But you both got it right and she's driving all over town, free as a very careful bird! When I first started driving lessons with Bill, I had pretty much no experience which made me quite nervous...after lessons with Bill though he made me feel more at ease and eventually I got the hang of it and was able to pass on my first road test! Bill is calm, understanding and focused. He helps you learn how to drive safe...I enjoyed my experience at East End Driving school so much that I have been a secretary at the school for over a year now. I would recommend this school to anyone, whether you are a beginner or just need to brush up. more

Bill is terrific. He got an early date for my road test and made everything very convenient and easy. If I forget to renew my driver's license again, Bill is the only one I'll go to see! more

Bill has now taught two of my kids to drive. Not only did they both pass their tests on the first try, he has also taught them to drive safely and defensively. The first of my two kids to pass the test has now been driving for over a year and he is still as cautious as he was when Bill was teaching him and he credits Bill""s instruction. Bill is also a model of patience and understanding. My daughter was very nervous behind the wheel at first and Bill put her at ease. He suggested delaying the test for a month to give her more time to get comfortable. It was absolutely the right thing to do. Bill knows his students! I would recommend Bill wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to learn to drive. more

I have previously failed a road test so I was extremely nervous, that is, until I found Bill. He taught me the essentials of the road with care and patience. I don't think I could've passed my 2nd road test without Bill's driving lessons. I've become a more patient, confident, and cautious driver...even my parents noticed a positive change in my driving just after my 2nd lesson with him. Bill is kind, patient and friendly. I would recommend him to anyone. The lessons are very worth taking and you should take them before a road test!! These lessons will not only help you pass, but they will help you drive safer in life afterwards. bill teaches very very well, he makes it so you drive safer then what the dmv are looking for. it was fun to drive with him, and i can really tell the difference on how i drive after i was taught by bill. I was nervous for the test but when i took the test i pass with no mistakes!! more

At first I was nervous to take lessons but then when I met Bill everything changed. He was very patient and understanding and never did he yell like my parents or siblings would, learning with my parents would have never been the same. When I made a mistake he would ask me to fix it, in his solf tone of voice. If it wasn't for Bill I wouldn't have passed my road test. Being that I'm a nervous person and always think negitive before I do positive made me fail my first and second road test, by then I thought I was never going to pass. With Bill's constant pushing and having coffidence in me I finally passed the third time. I started out driving in NYC through my school. The instructors were cranky and with four of us in a car at once, we had to take turns driving, only getting 15 minutes each. I knew I wasn't ready for the road test, so I called East End Driving school and signed up with Josef. Josef was night-and-day compared to the lessons I was getting in NYC. It is IMPERATIVE that you take a private lesson before taking the road test. Even if, by some miracle, you pass a road test just by taking the NYC school classes, Josef will teach you how to drive SAFELY. I was really stressed out about driving in general, but Josef was calm, informative and easy to understand. He answered all of my questions and taught me all of the tricks that I needed to know. After my first lesson I felt like I learned more than I had in months of NYC driving school, and I was 100% more confident. Parellel parking and broken u-turns used to pop up in my nightmares, but Josef was so calm about them and taught me the formula without any of the stress you get in group lessons. I would NEVER have passed my road test without Josef. Ask for Josef! East End Driving School lessons are the BEST! (oh, and forget about any of those other private lesson driving schools...)
