Beautiful and delicious wedding cake 2/13/2011

My daughter wanted her wedding cake to be made at the East Detroit Bakery. Everyone at the reception thought the cake was beautiful (which it was) AND they thought the cake was delicious. Sometimes you do not get both but with East Detroit Bakery...you get beautiful execution and you get excellent taste! more

GREAT PEOPLE GREAT BAKERY 12/17/2010

Let me tell you how wonderful these folks are. 2 years ago, my Son and daughter-in-Law were getting married and had made all these arrangements themselves. They had a cake made at a bakery near then(Canton, MI) and transported the cake, the Friday before the Saturday wedding, to my home. In the process, they had to avoid an accident, and the cake 'exploded' in the back of the mini-van. When my Daughter-in Law got here, she sat on my lawn crying. Father-in-law to the rescue. I went to East Detroit Bakery, and they made a new cake on less than 24 hour notice. I am now getting my daughters wedding cake from them. I would recommend them to anyone who appreciates great service!! more

Great bakery! 1/12/2006

This bakery is located on 9 Mile Road, between Kelly and Gratiot Avenue. Staff is very nice and helpful. Selection of items is excellent, as well as the taste!! Plenty of delicacies to choose from. The cakes are excellent! Parking seems limited, with it being located in front and off the busy street of 9 Mile Road. Prices are in line with other bakeries, as well. Everything is fresh and ready to eat! more

Best Packzi 8/11/2005

East Detroit Bakery on Nine Mile in Eastpointe has been around forever. They have a great selection of doughnuts and pastries and make cakes as well. You can also pick up things like Better Maid chips and Faygo here. But hands down, the best thing here is the packzi. You must try one, especially on packzi day (Fat Tuesday). Make sure you go early while they are nice and fresh and be prepared to wait in line, but they are well worth the wait. Everyone that works in here is nice and friendly and everything tastes so great! more
