Go and enjoy the best chinese food in town,

The quality of the food here has slowly gone downhill. It used to be that lunch was pretty good and had a wide selection of dishes. But today, most of the foods taste bland and ...

Good, but pricey 7/15/2007

I like the food they have in their buffet, though it is a bit pricey. I usually go with my parents because I can't afford it on my own. Their menu ... more

Terrible 5/14/2007

This place was horrible. I went with my family once and the food was of poor quality, almost everything was raw and service was terrible. To top it all off my whole family got sick that night from eating the food. Pros: no pros Cons: everything more

excellent on week nights!!! 3/14/2007

So, despite everyone's miserable reviews on service, it's to be expected when you're dining at a chinese buffet style setup. There will be Chinese people cutting lines, kids running around with food sliding off their plates, large parties and loud conversation. I've lived in the neighborhood for YEARS and have watched it morph into a mega chinatown. It's a cultural divide and this is how things are done here. As far as the food, well it's quickly restocked, hot food is hot, cold food is well chilled on ice. The sushi area is beautifully stocked with excellent bright red tuna sushi, delicious rolls, and fresh clams shucked right in front of you! There's a grilled to order area, ice cream machine, fresh fruit, TONS of seafood, and it's a self serve situation. It's always a great idea to check places like this outside of their rush hours. Go for lunch or a weeknight dinner. You won't be disappointed, and for the price??? Come on. It's a deal! The service, for me, was quite good. Hot tea upon sitting, drink orders taken right away, and a follow up at mid-meal, and the dishes were cleared away as I got up for seconds, and thirds! Pros: variety, freshness, immediate gratification of a buffet Cons: some foods labeled in chinese only.... more

Decent family dining restaurant 3/4/2007

The service is horrible but the food is excellent. The decorations are decent and the environment is very active. The main benefit of the restaurant is the food. My family goes there occasionally for big get-togethers and birthdays. East Buffet serves as a decent place for the service. The cost is decent as well to cap off an average all-you-can-eat buffet. Pros: Delicious Food Cons: Parking, Service, Entertainment more

So-So food, and unaccpetable service... Go at your own risk! 2/17/2007

We went dining at Kissena's East Buffet branch in Flushing... and here's their 6 Steps to serving a bad meal on Chinese New Year's Eve. Pros: After a 4.5hr long dinner, I can't think of any. Cons: almost everything more

Awesome food best Asian buffet in New York; however service and 1.5 hour dining time limit is a turn off 8/13/2006

Arrived and was seated promptly. Buffet area and presentation was nicely placed out. Food was great. I consider it the best Asian buffet in the New York metro area. They serve the best of all of the traditional chinese dishes; ginger scallion lobster, salt and better crab; crab legs; above average size cocktail shrimp (not pre-peeled) as well as your traditional beef and chicken dishes. Also available are raw cherrystone clams, raw oysters, and raw geoduck. Asian buffet desserts included soft serve ice cream, tapioca pudding, almond pudding, mango pudding, etc. Pros: Chinese Gourmet Buffet Cons: Service more

Mecca of all Chinese Buffets 9/25/2005

If you like all you can eat Chinese, this is the sanctuary for all of the AYCE elitists who can dine on virtually all scopes of the Chinese cuisine. There is some of the deep fried greasy non-authentic American Chinese fare, some authentic dishes (Peking Duck, Mapo Tofu), Dim Sum and even Sushi. Beware of the shatty service, as they are pushy and automatically add a 15% tip to each bill. Pros: Variety, Unique Cons: Service, Location more

Amazing choice 9/10/2005

This buffet has a great selection of a variety of differetn foods in amany cuisines. THere is a good Sushi bar, a roast duck/ham/prime rib, grilled foods, and literally undreds of differetn dishes. The food would not be considered the highest in quality, but the variety more than makes up for it. Although expensive, this is a place that we go to often. Pros: variety, Parking Lot, Fun Cons: not cheap, sometimes crowded more

Overrated and Low Quality 4/20/2005

I never heard of EB before but I was surprised later to see positive reviews. By the decor I thought I was going to have a great dining experience. Marble stairs, fancy chandelers, etc. The food selection was a little better than average but this place gets a big F in quality. Pretty much all the hot food was bordeline cold, definitely not hot. This makes it hard to judge the taste. I tried several dishes but most were either cold or just not that good. Annoyed by my meal I really wanted to get out of this place. Oh yeah this place is far from cheap given the quality, and it is in Queens. $22 bucks per/p + service charge+tip. I complained to the manager but he was rude and didn't really care. I think he forgets he's in the hospitality business. more
