bad service 6/6/2013

The 7th floor does not do there jobs and they r very rude. Some of the dr.s dont know what they r talking about. I have been in this hospital a few times and on the 7th floor 2 times now and both times have been bad and very upsetting! The other floors r not like this at all! Im told by other nurses that they have to many people on this floor thats the main reason they cant do there jobs. Why they r so rude Im not sure if its from stress or they r just mean nurses! more

Beware 5/22/2009

Nurses complain to patients constantly about being overworked as reason not giving meds. Food is given to you on meal trays that is not what doctor ordered. Released from hospital only to find out days later that had severe anemia and severe potassium loss with a dangerous levels after nightly blood test were done during my 14 day hospital stay. Told nurses legs were severely swollen and was told to walk and it would be ok. Released to find that I had gained 40 pounds in edema while I was unable to eat. Told after released by new doctor I had to stay off my feet in order to improve and had to be rehospitalized for blood transfusions for kidney failure obvious due to severe edema. Hospital stay here 8 years ago I was operated on by doctor who really made a mess and I was told by nurse that this particular doctor was not really allowed to perform surgeries due to his age but everyone was afraid to hurt his feelings. Overnight simple surgery turned into 4 week hospital stay with home health nursing necessary afterwards and reconstruction surgery afterwards which caused them to not be able to sew me up/had to leave open to heal. Quote from doctor was "Guess what you can get a mack truck through the hole that I left in you". 3 hours in emergency room ---no recent two visits was more like 5-6 hours. Hospital room didn't have clock in it so nurses kept coming in hinting to me while I was barely able to move on oxygen and IV that I might have stolen their clock. I had to keep telling them I couldn't remember if there was one in there or not but I didn't take a clock because that was the last thing on my mind. Information about my condition was relayed to nurses who told me it was my responsibility to tell doctor not theirs. I told them my urine was very strange color and they had urine collection cup in commode but clean up person kept removing it and emptying and nurses never viewed just came in afterwards and ask me how many times had I gone. First discharge took over 3 hours but second discharge more efficiently. more

Slowwwwwwww ER 8/27/2005

Too slow handling for the Emergency room (ER) patients, You have to wait a loooong time before being seen by someone, even when they are not crowded. can toy imagine, more than 3 hours in the ER! and after you go inside, just more and more waiting. and I'd say, the staff is not good. Sometimes they don't diagonist correctly. more

Wonderful Maternity Ward 8/23/2005

I delivered my child here this summer, and could not have asked for a better experience! The nurses were so incredibly attentive and caring. My delivery room was large and comfortable, and my recovery room was perfect. Everything was very clean and well maintained. They are doing construction to expand the facility, and it wasn't disruptive at all. Even the hospital food was pretty good. more

Not recommended hospital 7/18/2005

I don't recommend this hospital for several reasons. First, if you need emergency care, the wait time in the ER can be very long, as in 6 hours or more for an injured foot on a slow night. Second, the care within the hospital is questionable. Third, the follow-up care is horrible. If you can get to another hospital, you might be better off. more
