This is what we saw on Craigslist and it was for sale for $5,000. Super good deal is what we thought. NOPE, the seller Victoria Morgan said she didnt have time to sell it on her own, so she chose to go through eBay, the S & H was free of charge to us and she had purchased a vehicle protection plan for the camper.\r \r All we had to do was send $5,000 thru Western Union and the camper would be shipped to us in 1-2 days. Well it has now been 3 days and STILL NO CAMPER. And no response anymore thru eBay or the seller, Victoria Morgan. \r \r The ebay's agent's name was Joseph William adn I sent the money to 12 Fulton Street San Francisco, CA, 94102 - SO DO NOT SEND MONEY HERe!!!\r \r THis sucks, we really needed that money, but couldn't pass on such a good deal.\r \r This just happened on Aug 2, 2010, so if anyone has any advice - we would appreciate it - can we get our money back???? more

OMG Ossman8812! The same thing just happened to me! A lady claiming to be Julia Thompson said she is being deployed to Afganistan on Dec. 9th and had to sell her 2006 Range Rover immediately. She's asking $5500 for it so I said, hell thats a deal of a lifetime. too good to be true. well that saying is almost always correct. the blue book value was 41k! but when i looked up her information on where she lived the house in the background where the pictures were taken did not match the house listed for the address where she was selling it from. so i asked her for her phone number so i could speak with her and she never contacted me via email again. never heard from her but yet ebay kept sending me invoices saying i was agreeing to purchase this vehicle. ebay is the worst site ever! I bid and won a radar detector on Ebay from a user with good feedback and User and item was from the USA per the listing. The auction listing also had Payment seller preferred was Paypal, but at the end of auction I usualy go ahead and send my payment, but this time I waited and this is what happened: The following day I got an email from the seller claiming that ""Unfortunately, after the listing closed I got Notifications from eBay and Paypal and I must warn you that my account is unavailable and you cannot pay for the item through Paypal as usual. Item Location: United States, United States. The item will be shipped from this location by one of my employees, I must collect the payment because I am the seller, now I am located in United Kingdom because I have to sign a contract with a company and I know the mainspring of the paypal problem was caused because my account was accessed from different locations, while traveling to UK. Anyway we have a solution, payment approved by eBay for this transaction is Western Union Money Transfer so you can send the payment in a few minutes."" I knew then it was a scam for sure and I sent him an email telling him there was no way I was wiring any money and that this was not per the agreement of his listing let alone he does not even live in the USA he is in the UK??? No way. I am still getting emails requesting payment or he is to take action. I have reported him as an Ebay rep advised me but I do not think anything has been done yet. I even believe his feedbacks are bogus since I contacted one who said he had not done any transaction with him. I needed a car and found 2005 Honda Accord with 55,000 miles on it for $2,600 on Craigslist and i though wow that a good deal. I emailed him and he told me a nice story about that he is SGt in the Air Force and he was relocated to canada and needed to sell this back to the USA. A women says she wants to sell us a car. It is listed on Craigs List, but she wants to use Ebay as a third party escrow. She would only except a moneygram. She will not except Pay Pal. The so called ebay third party sent an e-mail saying to make a check out to an ebay customer service agent. Oddly enough there were two different addresses on two different e-mails. The one address is a vacant lot in Los Angeles and this address. We are very suspicious. more

Do not buy a car through craiglist by a lady named ANA DROBSON this person gave us a speech about how she just got divorced and she was left with this suv that she wanted to sale for $2650.00 she said she was located in austin texas so we werent far away and we wanted to test drive the car before we decided to buy it. She then proceed to tell us that she just moved here and that the car was located in ohio, she would never give us a phone number to call she would only email us. She sent us a email that said ebay would send us the information that would tell us how to send the money, she told us after we sent the moneygram to this agent that they would send us the car and the agent would hold the money until we decided to buy it. We then got a email from what it was said was ""Ebay moters"" which brought us to this website. I guess she wasnt smart enough to see that there are reviews all over this website saying its a huge scam. People arent as stupid as you think. Thanks to this website we are aware that she is doing nothing but trying to scam us to get our money. BE AWARE OF THIS ANA DROBSON!!!! more

I too almost got scam by this company. A 2003 Mercedes with 69k miles was listed on Craigslist for real cheap--I fell for it and thought it was a legimate ad. The lady gave me a sad story about expecting her first child and needed the money right away. The invoice and other documentation looked authenic. But after checking with eBay, I was told they never send invoice to your private email and payment is made through PayPal instead of money gram -- People beware of these scam artist. I hope they get what they deserve. more

I had just had a baby 3 months ago and needed another car to get him to doctor appointment while my husband was at work. I was super excited when I found a Mini Cooper for $2900. I spent a week talk to this lady in ""Florida"" and she gave me a nice story that she needed it sold for a divorce or something. She had said in the email not to respond unless I had the full amount of money, so I began the process of getting money transfered from one account to another. My husband though thought it was too go to be true, so we email the real Ebay to find out it was a scam and then I can across this web site. I am so glad I didnt give them the money and now fell stupid for thinking someone could sell a car at that price!!!! \r Do these people have no morals? Cons: Scam more

Vehicle SCAM:\r \r Beware of what appears to be a great deal on a vehcle on Craigslist. These people make it sound like a great deal and they are just stealing your money. I was not taken on the scam, but I want to alert others that if it sounds to good to be true it is. They promise everything, but deliver nothing.\r \r I want to mention the name of the person that tried to get my money. (Jennifer Ambers) If you see this name run from the deal. \r \r The vehicle that I was looking at was a 2005 Chevy Tahoe with 67,000 miles for 5450.00. I also found this vehicle being displayed on the Oklahoma City Craigslist. \r \r I e-mailed this person and told them that I would come and pick the vehicle up and have not heard back from them. I would suggest that you tell them that you will come and pick up the vehicle and see if they stay in touch with you. They have not responded back to me since I offered to come and pick up the vehicle.\r \r The other thing that I did was had them send me a invoice and I reversed the look up of the address and found out that the address was to a Physical Therapy Clinic in the same town that the vehicle was located. \r \r Advise: Take your time and check everything out. more

when i realized i had been scamed it was to late i am out 2970.00 and thats all the money we had. i thought i had found an amazing deal one i needed to get my son and his wheelchair around a 2005 honda odyssey. just what we needed and at a price well that was amazing. everything looked so offical and it just seemed to good to be true but i jumped on the offer because well we are desparate to get a vehicle that we have transport our son in. we dont have much and what we did have i had saved up for years. and now its all gone. i will never make this mistake again. i feel like such a fool. well i have learned from this and will never trust again..THIS IS A SCAM BE VERY CAREFUL more

Thank God for research I have been talking with a lady out of NJ for two days now on a 89 Jeep for 2700. She sent and invoice that looks just like it came from ebay motors with all the info to send payment by western union to a trust to be held until we let them know we had veh. and was happy with it..The shipping would be through DAS an auto shipper she said ebay recommends and it would not cost us anything..So I got curious and tried to verify the case id # and inv # and could not get any kind of confermation that it was legal. So I typed in the address of were the ebay financal center agent was and got this address so they are even using real address but they can still show anything with this address and get your money as soon as you send them the money gram transaction number to pick up funds..The good lord was looking out for us on this one...The jeep was listed on craigslist so buyer beware if you dont actually see it on ebay motors than dont fall for it..She even told me she could list it back there but it would cost her 70.00 to do it and really did not want to be out any more money...Ebay charges a percentage also for selling a vehicle through them which should be in the price etc...Just wanted to post this so more people would know after I read other peoples experinces...Be safe out there..Thanks, more

My husband unfortunatley fell for this scam, but we found out to late. My husband was so exicited about this Ford F-150 for $4,500 and just jumped on this deal and even after I had expressed my uneasy feeling about this, he went to the money gram and sent the money. Now we have no truck and are reaching out to anyone who would know what to do about this. We have contacted the local police and also the San Jose Police department and also the police department in Montana, because that is where the seller and a phone number for the eBay agent was. Be aware that this is a huge scam - I saw an ad on craigslist... this guy/lady tried to sell me a toyota prius for 3900 which included shipping from Canada... that is impossible, right??? Sure enough, they said that we should use ""ebay"" to complete the transaction, and I should pay with moneygram said the email they sent. The email looked official but upon researching it more, ebay ONLY wants you to pay with paypal and has disclamers on not paying with moneygram. Had I sent that money I would have been 4000 poorer! Contacted the real ebay and they confirmed it was a spoof. They only have an address and ""company name"" so they can collect $$ from moneygram (you have to have identification and address proof to collect $). Pros: RIP OFF Cons: it is a CON! more

some lady tried to sell a subaru 2004 STI for $3970 ONLY with free shipping. The payment has to be made through money gram. After reading previous reviews we then search the biggest spam article in ebay and based on the emails she sent us, 5 out of 10 things she said are listed in the 10 ways you spot a fraud \r \r Thank God we stopped and search online more before we made up our mind.
