One thing i have noticed so far living here is that its hard to get ahold of the manager, she is always away from the office, or the office is locked up during business hours alot, and we call to the office phone as well and still no answer. We have had mail come in that has to do with work and it was delivered to the office...they had the mail in their office for 2 weeks before they let us know they had some mail there at the office. So far, i am thinking things cant get tooo terribly worse...but i will know for sure when the lease is up. I hope the manager can work on answering the office phone or even be in the office during business hours and when any mail comes in to the office (clearly stating which apt it needs to go to, with the name of the resident on it) to please get the mail to them. more

I had a poor experience with this property management. I was asked to move out before my lease was up, because the college son returned home and wanted his house back. I was kind enough to locate another home and move out as quickly as possible. I did only pay prorated rent amount for the month. The owner kept showing up the evening that we were moving out wanting to know how much longer so he could start moving in. Was very rushed. We did clean up the bathrooms, vacuumed, and was going to steam clean the carpets. I have a 2 relatives that owned their own business of cleaning carpets. Not that the floor had much more wear and tear use than upon us moving in since we weren't there much. Anyhow, I agreed to move out prior to the end of my lease. I had to move into a home where the rent went from $850 a month to $1050. a month. 2 months later I lost my job and was unable to pay my rent. To avoid an eviction, I give D&S a date that I would be out my that my $1000. deposit would cover for the days 10 days I was still in the home. Which would leave me with a $650.00 Credit. I was informed the previous home had to have the floors professionally cleaned prior to moving back in. I did not have a pet and the owners had a pit bull that had caused damage prior to my moving in. So, bottom line is 2 months later they find a reason to keep my deposit based on the previous house I lived in. And in addition added a $1050.00 to my credit report for not having the home rented out shortly after I moved out and they had to recover that monthly rent. Of course I have not paid it and never will. I went to the house after moving out to find that the bathroom wall paper was being remodeled & some carpet replaced. I get charged the time for them to make improvements to the house rather than them renting it out and then making the improvements. This is a very poor company to do business with. It is difficult to reach people via phone and several days before your call is returned. I have always had previous tenants tell me I left the home cleaner than when I leased it. First bad experience with a property management company and was warned about them in advance. I thought no this wont happen to me. I am too clean. The hit on my credit report only affects me if I were to lease another place, but for fortunately, my father purchased me a $160.00 home, so I don't have to worry about somebody not renting to me, nor somebody not qualifying me for a home loan without first paying their scamming cost on my credit report. HIGHLY SUGGEST IF YOU ARE A GOOD TENANT, PAY YOUR RENT ON TIME, CLEAN AND EXPECT YOUR DEPOSIT RETURNED THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY TO RENT FROM. THEY WILL FIND A REASON TO NOT RETURN IT TO YOU. APPARENTLY THAT IS PART OF THE JOB, SO THAT THE OWNER & PROPERTY MANAGEMENT CAN PROSPER MORE IN AN UNFAIR MANOR. more

I've tried to contact Jessica for two days about a property I was interested in renting. After not hearing back from her I decided to do some research and find reviews for DS Prop. I'm glad I did.. there are some pretty polarized opinions here. Which should I believe, the 1 star ratings or the 5 star ratings? Hmm.. Many of the 1 star ratings match with my experience so far, so those are the one's I tend to believe. Are the 5 star reviews shills? Who knows, but I think I'll look elsewhere for a home. Had to rate to review, but i wouldnt give any stars. I Called to see a property and Jessica Rowe was nice at first, then when i met her she was very unprofessional. She stood in one spot while i looked around. She didnt Thank me for taking a look and being interested and didnt offer to show any thing or say anything for that matter. Very bad vibe from her and just imagine how they would be if i had rented from them.... I like to follow my gut feelings and with this one i was right. The house looked gross. If i was the home owner I would not want this company looking after my property. more

I have lived in Villa Gardens Apartments in Midwest City for over 3 years and we got DS property management in here about 2 months ago and things have been downhill from there. This is the WORST Management Company that I have EVER dealt with. Don more

I would have to agree with this last post. It has been the absolute worst I could ever imagine. At first it seemed like it would be good then they moved us in to a house that was not ready at all. It had not been cleaned, gave us a key that didnt work and we had to go meet someone late at night to get one that MAY work, NOTHING had been checked on it (heater, ac, plumbing etc). Within the first week we had pipes that were frozen and had been for quite sometime, a leak in the kitchen and bathroom, and a heater that hadnt been in working order for awhile. Then a broken door that took months for them to fix and a non working ac as soon as we needed it that also had not kept up according to the 6 service calls. (Most of which had to go at least a day before getting). We had to stay with other people so many times because of everything that was broke or never in working order. And I would have to agree that everyone we have talked to from managers, to agents, to the ""emergency guy"" have been so rude and condescending. The ONLY person that has been pleasant were the actual poor men that had to come fix stuff here. I would never , ever recommend this place for anyone I knew and have urged against it anytime I can. We cant wait for our lease to be up! more

Renting from D&S has absolutely been the worst experience of my entire life. They can change their name from D&S Property Management to DS Property Network, but they still provide the same AWFUL service. If you happen to ever get Jessica Rowe on the phone (doubtful) and into a lease they'll never help you again. They not only let me move into a NASTY house that was not ready and hadn't been cleaned, but ignored my requests for a service order on multiple occasions. The house I moved into not only had bugs EVERYWHERE, but the backyard was covered in glass. I rented a carpet cleaner and the water turned black after shampooing the carpets. Don't worry about never getting a hold of Jessica Rowe...she's doing you a favor by never renting from these people! more

Since D&S have taken over the complex I live in things have finally been getting fixed and taken care of! it's nice to know that they do care about what the properties look like! more

The office was very clean, easy to locate, and the staff was professional. My move-in process was simple and didn?t take any time at all to complete. I moved in when I was told I could and the couple things that needed attention, the maintenance staff got on to it right away. I would definitely recommend Los Pueblos to my family and friends and I actually have a couple friends who live here already and I liked their apartment, which is why I moved here in the first place more

I just wanted to thank you & your company for all the improvements that has been done here. When I moved here this place was a drug haven & the laundry room was used as the drug dealers office, it was so bad I wouldn't go out after dark. Since your company has taken over the complex not only has the appearance been drastically improved, but all the movement that was going on at night has ceased. And now with the laundry room being revamped I am very pleased with all the hard work that has been done here. Also, our manager Arlene has been very professional in her position here, and I hope she stays here for a very long time. Thanks again for making Seminole Ridge a decent place to live. I have just recently moved into Potomac House and although I had to wait an extra week so it was 100% ready, I am extremely pleased. They have a new manager who is very nice and helpful and also explained and apologized for the longer wait. I can tell they are attempting to clean up the area in order to get the ""troublemakers"" out. They do have security guards on the property every night and that makes me feel much better! I would recommend PH to any of my family and friends!! more

This management company SUCKS! I have told them about water leaks costing me almost $100 a month in water bills and the maintenance man tells me there is nothing wrong with that. My main bathroom is broken, its been broken for 5 months. My other bathroom is not in great working condition we have to manually flush it. They do inspections without giving prior written notice, and then try to get you on a lease violation. It takes months or threats to get them to do work orders but if you are even one day late on rent they are sending people out to your house. I'm moving out of here in 2 days and this is the WORST property management company I have ever dealt with. The manager at the place I am moving to can't even get ahold of them to get a rental verification so I can move! Crappy all around!! If It would let me I wouldn't even give them one star!!!! more

This management company is horrible!!!!! If you're thinking of renting from here then take my advice and dont. Horrible management team, takes forever to get a work order in, you literally have to threaten them to get something fixed. Pros: ZERO Cons: HORRIBLE more

We moved into one of their house & they said it was be clean! Ha! Shelves were lined with old and curling paper towels, the oven had french fries in it, Roac. & ant bait containers were all over the counters and even stuck to the walls with push pins. The front door had a bird nest built over it. Front door was broke. When we asked about these things and the house being cleaned we were told ""that some people were cleaner than others and maybe our expectations were too high!"" We have been there now 2 months and the door is still not fixed even though we have called, faxed, and e-mailed they do not return calls, or e-mails. The electricial outlets are so old it is hard to get anything electric to stay in the outlet without taping the plug. Safety hazard!? Guess whats broke on the door? The handle. Can't go in or out it. This is the front door. Another safety hazard. Don't rent from them......................... more

D & S property managment is the most unprofessional managment company. They do not return phone calls, even when left over a dozen voice mails requesting a call back. They do not take care of maintenance problems in a timely matter, it took them over a week to even contact me on repair problems when my oven was not working, and there were also other problems at the same time. The do not take care of pest problems. I moved out of the house 6 weeks ago,at the end of my lease. I requested my deposit back, and still have not recieved anything, not even a letter, no communication at all. Thye have 30 days to return the deposit by law. more

Run if you see D&S Property Manangement. This management group is a joke. They say they care about their residents when in reality they only care about the money they get from them. Residents are forced to deal with management changes every month due to the fact their own employees can't stand to stay with them for longer than a month. They talk about residents behind their backs and call them names that are EXTREMELY unappropriate and refuse to fix any repairs. When they do find employees that go beyond the call of duty to make a resident happy, they fire them immediately. D & S is the last place I would send my worst enemy to live under. I have been living at Independence Square apartments which are own by D & S Property. Recently a very very disruptive neighbor, who blares his music and tv all night long, has moved in for the last 2 months. I have made 7 complaints about him, 3 including the cops. The manager asked me to take the neighbor to court instead of her telling him to leave. When I complained to D & S they told me that I should move to another apartment, that they cannot tell him to turn it down, and that I need to realize i live in an apartment. If thats the case then I've been lied. I was told by the manager that disruptions are not tolerated, if there are complaints then the person is kicked out yet he remains and I'm told I should be the one to move. Tenants have rights yet D & S Property refuses to acknowledge and support those rights. I will NEVER EVER be associated with Independence Square or D & S Property again.
