I was so happy at the end of the day. I would recommend using Dr. Move. My move was larger and the storage my daughter picked out was smaller than I thought. I just knew it was going to be a disaster!!! My scheduled time was for 8am Friday morning. I had been working 24?s on my job and had to work that afternoon so this had to be done right. I went to her job to pick up the key for the storage and was a little later than I wanted to be getting to the house. I thought they would be a little late anyway but at 7:50am they were there. I thought OK, maybe it will be a good move. I was still a little nervous but the two men loaded all my stuff and offered to help with the items that I was taking myself. The lead man knew what he was doing because they got all that stuff into that small storage professionally. It looks great!!! I went to work with a smile on my face! Thanks Dr. Move!!!! more

I have used Dr Move 4 times now. Every time was great, but this last time was excellent. I picked up all of my packing supplies a week prior to the scheduled move date at their offince conveniently located in Las Colinas near Northlake College, and got busy packing. The girls in the office were super friendly, and helpful. Moving can be so stressful. I was greeted on time by a crew of 3 guys and a larger truck than expected which meant everything went in one load. :) The guys worked hard, and were diligent. They were helpful in the re-installation of my wahser/dryer, bed, and other things that required breakdown and later reassembly. A Special Thanks to Claudia, you are a sweetheart, and Juan and his crew, you guys were awesome!!! Dr. Move, you really did Heal My Moving Pains!!! more

Dr. Move resently moved me from my apartment to my new home. I cannot tell you just how wonderful both of the employees that moved me where..not only where they 100% professional but they helped make the move (almost) stressfree..as moving can be such a stressful time. I must say that I called this company on a last minute move and was prompt in getting the service I need. The movers, Pedro & Eugene was GREAT! They were quick, helpful and made my move so easy. I was not all packed, but they were nice enough to assist me. more

The display of incompetency of this company started an hour and a half late because the management was locked out of thier own building that morning and could not retrieve the paperwork needed to start the move. Not that I recieved a phone call to let me know this, I found out by repeatedly calling to see where the movers were. I had a specific item to move (350 gallon aquarium) that most moving companies had turned me down on. After 20 minutes of conversation with managers, they decided thier team could handle it as long as I agreed to a 3hour minimum and a four man crew. That still seemed fair. Whent he men arrived, they had no idea what they were moving. They were never told the difficulties involved nor the danger if this goes poorly. After 45 minutes of struggling to move the aquarium, we called it quits for saftey reasons. I called the company was told management was on vacation and that they were unable to change the contract. The movers ended up moving my one bedroom apartment three buildings down to my new location and charged me $500. The aquarium is still in the old unit a week later. I have called this company several times since to speak to a manager and they are still ""out of town, no idea when they will return, no email, no phone number."" Maria and Amanda answer the phones for them, but they claim no idea how to fix or change things. Oh, and they are so sorry that I was disappointed. Lame... more

The movers were very early, finished early, nothing was broken, no hidden fees, and the movers were very friendly. I will use them again and recommend them. more

We downsized from a very large home in Southlake and moved into a condo temporarily. When we finally decided to purchase another home we called Dr. Move. They were on time and worked very hard to get our things out of our condo. They also helped to set up the washer, dryer and large master suite. Some of our items got chipped in the process and the truck should have been bigger but we got it done and for a good price. more

I contacted Maria at Dr. Move four weeks in advance for my recent move. I requested Saturday morning- 8 a.m. February 26th and sent back to Dr. Move the completed Contract. I did not hear back from them, so I sent an email to Maria requesting confirmation of the date/time. No response. A few days later I sent another email. No response. Then I called Dr. Move four days before my schedule moved. Spoke to Amanda who told me ?yes we have down for Saturday 8am?. more

This company claims to be a professional company. That is completely untrue. The guys that showed up for my move were one guy in a Dr. Move t-shirt that barely spoke English and two day labors who spoke no English. I was embarrassed to have the truck they showed up in in my neighborhood. They damaged furniture. They moved at a snails pace. Most importantly, once they get your money they are no longer interested in dealing with you. PERIOD! BTW, all of these glowing reviews are obviously written by employees of the company. There are several that were written on the same date. This company is relativity cheap but, in this case, you definitely get less than you pay for! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! more

They are wonderful on the phone when your arraigning the move but that's where it ends! They showed up an hour and a half late. The ""professional uniformed movers"" and ""new clean equipment"" consisted of three men who didn't speak English one of which had on a Dr. Move t-shirt - his uniform, I suppose. They showed up with a nice 26ft trailer with logo but pulled by a beat up old truck. Seriously, it had holes in the side. It took 8 hours to do a job that should have been completed in 5. They damaged furniture but have no idea how it happened (they dropped it, that's how it happened). One guy tried to carry a 6' x 4' chest of drawers down a flight of stairs by himself resulting in a big hole in the wall. Fortunately, the wall caught the furniture when it fell or it would have crushed him. All of the furniture didn't fit in the 26' trailer, like I was told it would, even though I had already boxed up and moved everything that would fit in a box. They piled rugs, etc. in the back of the beat up old truck and hauled it down the highway like a bunch of gypsies. It took them over an hour to drive the 5.4miles to the new address (which they billed me for). The foreman/driver told dispatch that I had written the address wrong on the contract (I checked the contract after he arrived - the address was correct). I paid and they left. Two days later I contacted Dr. Move to let them know that they had misrepresented themselves but was told that it was a matter of opinion. I wasn't interested in filing a claim for the damage or overcharge because I didn't think it would be worth the hassle but since I was met with such confident disdain I went ahead and filed the claim and will follow it through. I also intend to let anyone who will listen what I experienced with this pitiful company. more

I am so happy that I chose the right moving company. During my search for my move I got a lot of cheap prices, but I was iffy to use just any company. I did some research and found Dr.Move. Although they weren't the cheapest company they were just above my price range and they were the most professional moving company. They came in my apartment, took apart my furniture, wrapped it, moved it, and put it back together. It was so nice to not have to worry about anything. I got to be there and supervise the whole move. These guys are very hard workers and you can tell they have a lot of experience. You get what you pay for folks, and I am glad that I went with the right company. Pros: efficient more

Getting divorced was hard enough to have to deal with moving the furniture out of the house. I called Dr.Move because my mother had used them. Amanda was my rep. and she was very helpful with accommodating a plan that fit my needs. The movers came and were extrememly helpful, they covered my furniture with their pads and plastic wrap, they set everything in place at the new house, even the boxes were put in each elonging room! This would be our second time using Dr.Move and I'm glad we called them again to help us. We Moved during the weekend of Valentine's Day. Juan and the crew came in around 9am. Dismantled our beds, washer and dryer. They took very good care of our furniture and followed instructions to the dot. Our 2 bedroom apartment was moved in a timely manner and I know they worked hard because we moved into the third floor. Needless to say I had the same pleasant experience as last year when we first used them. At a rate of $89/Hr it was definitely worth it as we did not have to lift a finger.
