I'm an active man, as i was hitting 50 year old mark. The ""heathly lifestyle"" things I was doing was no longer working for me. I was gradually putting on weight.
My first session with Dr. Marlow, he described the partnership we would have over the next months. He had me describe what my ""reaching goal"" was for my loss.
Keep in mind, Dr. Marlow is a real MD. Just like my family Doctor. I was impressed that he needed to back up his suggestions with science. He scheduled me at a lab to pull bloodwork to see what was going on w/ my body. So he was then able to target his recommendations based on science tailored to my own body, not just something out of a magazine. :)
This is working for me thus far because I understand that a main component is the accountability factor. I log my meals, my fitness, so that recurring sessions are productive. I log how I feel based on diet, exercise, and Dr. Marlow can assist. It's been a wonderful back and forth partnership.
I am surprised how easy this is. As long as i'm following my tailored recommend guidelines, I really am surprised how quickly dropping.
I am really surprised how quickly the weight is dropping. My energy level is great. In fact, back in December 2011, when I filled out the initial paperwork with my Goals, i put what i thought would be a ""reach"" goal in time for a cruise i had booked for May 2012. It's just early March 2012, and I've already reached my weight goal!!. So i'm readjusting my goals, with better confidence that i can achieve. I've also booked a 10K race for April!!
