Editorial review from Citysearch 10/5/2012

I typically do not like to leave bad reviews about any business because I know how it can affect a business but when you are in the medical field, your job is to help people and not rip them off. I've seen her 2x already shes actually a not a bad dr and her staff is nice and funny but they want to charge you for everything and anything. So I came to her to get my monthly meds, she had prescribe a different medication this time because my old ones weren't effective anymore. I told her that if she changes my prescription than she would have to fax or call my insurance company to have them approve it. She said okay just let us know what needs to be done when I get to the pharmacy. Long story short the pharmacy sent the info to her office, I called them and they told me that it would cost $85 bucks out of pocket to have her do that because it takes time out of her day to do it. SERIOUSLY???? it takes 2 mins to call or fax over the info. My previous doctors have done it and not charged me anything and that is why I knew this needed to be done. It's a shame because I did really like her office and I would have to come back at least once a month to get a refill which means she can charge my insurance but now she just lost a long term patient. It's my fault that I didn't read any of the reviews before coming here because everyone seem to think the same. Dr Cho you are a good doctor but you need to stop being so money hungry. more

Overcharges 3/20/2012

I really like the doctor. Unfortunately it costs me an arm and a leg when I see her. She had blood work taken and instead of telling me results over the phone I had to pay a copay and parking fee to see her. Her hours are also very limiting and her practice has a habit of double booking. And I think they overcharge the insurance for the services rendered. I wanted to like her but business practices are keeping me away. more

AVOID THIS PRACTICE 10/11/2010

While Dr. Cho is smart and a very good doctor, her practice is HORRIBLE. I have been going to her since 2003 and will now not go back. As other reviews have mentioned, the constant overbooking of patients, the AWFUL and RUDE office staff and the PATHETIC billing practices have ruined an otherwise fantastic practice. I believe that when a patient has an appointment, he or she should see the doctor within 15-30 minutes (at the most). The last several times I have gone to see Dr. Cho, I have waited over an hour and a half before I even saw her. I have a job. I can't be out of work for that long. She simply overbooks patients and expects them to sit there waiting for her. It's unacceptable. In addition, she double charges for things that most doctors charge once. For example, if you get a blood test done, she doesn't call you with results, have her nurse call you or leave you a voicemail like other doctors. She requires you to come in, make another office visit (and pay the copay, of course) to simply get your results! This is true even when the results are normal. I asked her office to fax me the results and they refused until they I came in so that they could get the co-pay from me. That is blackmail, not medicine. When I asked Dr. Cho about this, she exploded with anger. I couldn't believe it. I got my results and left and will not go back. Finally, her billing is unbelievably bad. I have been billed for the same visit up to five times. When you call to let them know that you've been billed (AGAIN!), they get very hostile about it and accuse you of not paying. I just can't spend all the time it requires to stay on top of the billing problems of her office any longer. I'm done. It's a shame that her practice has become a money-grab because she really is an excellent physician. Avoid Dr. Cho's office and you will be a much happier patient. more

Wide area of knowledge and Eastern/Western fusion 11/10/2009

Dr. Cho is the best doctor that I have ever had. I've been going to her for about three years. She keeps up on the most modern research and uses state-of-the art testing. She will try holistic, natural approaches before resorting to Western medicine that may have side effects. I have always had high cholesterol, but thanks to Dr. Cho, my cholesterol has been dropping for the first time ever, and I haven't had to take lipitor. She is really enjoyable to talk to, and she has a near-perfect memory. I highly recommend her. Pros: Enthusiastic, personable, interested in your well-being more

Dr. Cho more interested in money than heath care. 9/26/2009

Even with an app. it takes an average of 45 min wait. over the years I have seen her about 4 times. Every time I run into the same problems, over charging, unfriendy stuff & bad billing practices. In my last visit Dr. Cho ordered several unecesary lab test. resulting in a VERY EXPENSIVE visit. I had NO ILLNESS to report. It was just a regular check up. My insurance is pretty good but I still had to pay about $400 out of my pocket & I think there will be more charges. Dr. Cho ordered test that even the technician was surprised she ordered. Usually this test are ordered for people that present symptoms. I think Dr. Cho is more interested in making money that in your health or well being. Cons: poor billing practices more

Fantastic primary care physician 4/29/2009

This is a review for DR. CHO ONLY, not others in her office. I like her enough to join and write a review. Dr. Cho deserves 6 stars because she is smart, smart, smart! Long story short, she routinely performs tests that most other doctors don't (at least not the ones that I've been to) and this allowed her to see that there was something SERIOUSLY WRONG that my boyfriend had for YEARS and was missed by doctor after doctor and which led to Chronic Renal Failure. He probably would have been hospitalized if he went for just a few months longer without treatment. In addition, she was able to see us immediately after she found the test results and she was very kind and understanding, she took time from her schedule to sit and talk with us about his results, and referred us to a fantastic nephrologist. As for the office staff or billing, We've never had a problem, and frankly, I would rather have a good doctor and deal with errors by the staff than have a doctor that makes errors and great staff. I recommend her highly. Pros: Location, thoroughness, attention to detail Cons: Price, wait to get an appointment with Dr. CHO more

Don't trust the office staff! 4/4/2009

The worse billing staff in the office. They never spelled my last name correct. No need to say more but trust me don't go there. Pros: nothing! Cons: office staff and billing more

Excellent Doctor 1/5/2009

I have been a patient of Dr. Cho's since 2001 with a brief intermission due to relocation. She is an excellent diagnostician. She is highly personable, compassionate, and listens to a patient's personal point of view on their own medical care; she is open minded and extremely knowledgeable. It is true that there is an occasional wait, however, I'd rather wait occasionally and have excellent care than have a doctor who is always prompt yet delivers inferior service. I have a complicated medical history and Dr. Cho is solely responsible for diagnosing two particular issues which were ignored by other doctors; her persistence has saved me much pain and has kept me off medication. Her current staff is excellent. Any problems with insurance is due to the insurance companies and not Dr. Cho. I would recommend her to anyone. And then, perhaps one of the reasons she is so ""booked"", is that she is a phenomenal doctor and in demand. Pros: Incredible diagnostician Cons: Busy doctor - She is in demand! more

Wonderful doctor 1/5/2009

Dr. Cho is great. She's thorough, caring and all-together an excellent doctor. I've gone to her since 2003. What I really like is her creativity ... she thinks things through and does not go immediately for the ""pat"" answer. I also like that she really is interested in alternatives. Sometimes I have to wait awhile, but not always. The staff she has now is great! They work with my insurance company without a lot of participation by me, and that's great too. I've recommended Dr. Cho to several folks, all of whom have been happy. Pros: Doctor, interest in alternative medicines Cons: my insurance company more

This is not quality medical care 7/25/2008

Dr. Cho is typical of many docs today; constant overbooking = long waits and overworked staff that is unresponsive to very poor. Cons: Horrible office staff, long wait, no help with insurance conflicts, I could go on... more

Bad Service 4/21/2008

I have had more billing trouble with this office than any other office I have dealt with, and on top of that, have been treated very poorly in trying to sort out billing issues. I have been yelled at by billers and office managers from issues that were ultimately those of the office. They have overcharged me on three occasions, even though I am an in-network patient and they already billed my insurance. I have also had issues with them writing prescriptions and have had to call them three months in a row to get a refill that I was promised would be sorted out each time. I scheduled an early morning appointment to avoid a wait, and ended up waiting for more than an hour before I was seen by a doctor. Pros: Close to my office Cons: Rude staff, long waits more

She is the BEST 9/21/2005

She is so great. She is upbeat doctor that remebers everything. I have recommended her to 3 of my friends and they think she is great to more
