Dr Bob's Animal Hospital

I agree with others, that Dr. Bob is an outstanding vet. I have 5 dogs and 3 cats and all have been there. However, my last experience was not a good one. My experience with his niece, who apparently works there as well...was very very rude. I had called in for a refill on medication for one of dogs that had recent surgery and requested more meds for him, but Dr. Bob was out of the office for a few days and I was told that she could not contact the doctor for additional medication and that my dog would have to ""get by"" for the next few days. This was terribly upsetting, as first, I love my pets and do not want them in any kind of pain, and second I had just paid $3,800 for knee replacement on this particular pet and she refused to help me in any way and was rude. more

Yep, I agree with everyone else and their comments. Dr. Bob is an outstanding vet. I believe his mother even works in his office. If you have ever wanted down home love, service and prices for your pet, this is the vet to go to. We did have to go there one time in an emergency situation and Dr. Bob wasn't in...a fill-in vet was and we were not fond of him AT ALL!!! Call before you go and make sure it is Dr. Bob who is there and you will not be disappointed though. Really and truly, I don't make comments unless they are deserved and Dr. Bob deserves all the best there are. more

What can you say when someone is simply the best at what they do and not just the Vet, but everyone he has employed there. Dr. Bob is absolutely wonderful. A good Christian man too and NOT afraid to tell the world. It's even on his sign outside by the road. Wish more people were like that these days. But all that aside, Dr. Bob is a wonderful and caring vet and all the people in the office are kind and genuinely seem to care. Sandy at the front desk has been known to kiss the patient's bye bye when they go home. We have several pets and Dr. Bob takes care of them all with equal love and dedication. We simply would not think about going anywhere else. more

I went to Dr. Bob for the first time this week and came home gushing about his down to earth style and customer service. I have a 10 year old German Shephard with hip dysplasia and nerve damage. Dr. Bob sat on the floor with me and talked to me about options for treatment and for keeping my baby pain free for as long as possible. He went out of his way to help me identify some lower cost options since the medications are going to need to be taken for a long time (hopefully) and even told me places to go where the prices were lower.\r I have been paying $75 A WEEK to my previous vet to administer a shot to my dog, Dr. Bob charged my $25 and said they would waive the office visit charge anytime I needed to come back for another one. \r Between the personal service and the significantly discounted prices all four of our dogs will never go to another vet. He is exactly the type of small town vet I expected to meet when moving to Alvin. \r Just as a note, be prepared to wait a little longer for service as Dr. Bob is not one to rush through his patients and wait time may be shorter or longer depending on how much time and attention each client needs. A small inconvience for such one on one attention! more

My wife and I met Bob through a rescue service. We've stayed with him for all of our dogs and cats. He's a great vet who is down to earth and easy to talk to. He'll tell you as much as you want to know during exams, common English or tech terms. Good with offering varied treatment options when money is an issue or the pet's age and health is a factor. Our 12 year old beagle had not been herself and after calling other vets on the Thursday before Easter and being told that she couldn't been seen until the following Tuesday, I call Dr. Bob's. She was taken in around 2 pm and after being seen, Dr. Bob informed us of our options. Deciding to do surgery to remove a tumor was a very easy decision with the payment options his office offered. Dr. Bob stayed until the evening and even calling us at 7:45 pm to let us know that all was well with our baby girl. She is definitely getting back to her old self!! Thanks Dr. Bob!! We have permanently changed vets for all 3 of our dogs! more

This was my first visit to Dr. Langley's new clinic in Alvin. I was quite impressed! The offices are lovely and up-to-date, with new equipment. The staff are extremely friendly and involved. They have a nice touch of taking a picture of your dog and while you are in the office their picture is shown on a flat screen TV, nice.\r \r Dr. Bob (Langley) is very thorough and toughful. For my purposed he seemed well informed and extremely competent, prices were good with little or no gouging or unneccesary testing going on. I'll be taking all 7 of my dogs to him for their checkups/shots and will know more after the next visit.\r \r So far all's well and I really hope I've finally found our forever vet! more
