Dr Bill's Pet Infirmary

Thank You and your staff Dr. Kelly!\r We have a rather LARGE and assorted BUNCH of animals, and lucky for us Dr. Kelly has taking care of each one for the past few years.\r I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone!(that's if you have a pet) LOL\r She is kind, loves all animals and a great Vetrenarium. \r Sadly we had to have our little 10 month old kitten Izzy put to sleep a few months back. \r Dr. Kelly was truly a blessing for Izzy, he was so sick and she was so gentle with him, he was comforted by her touch! She was honest with us while sharing the bad news, but so kind and caring for IZZY, and us.\r It was so tough , but she made us feel that she truly cared and was as sad as we were to see the little guy go. \r The staff is always helpful and compassionate ,ready to help without asking!\r Go see them!!! Its busy busy there and everyone is always SMILING!!! more

I cannot begin to state how amazing Dr. Kelly has been to us. We have been using Dr. Bill's since we moved to VA about 5 years ago. And 3 years ago, Dr. Kelly became our vet. After what we thought was an infection was diagnosed as cancer in Hayley, she helped us through her gradual decline. Two days after euthanizing Hayley, Rusty was diagnosed with cancer, too. And yesterday, he was also euthanized. Dr. Kelly has been incredibly patient with our questions and emotional pain. She was put in the position of dealing with older pets and she was nothing but the most professional and amazing vet. If you have a choice, choose her. And they were so helpful with the cremation and returning the remains, too. more

We lost our dog, Chloe, today, and although it was an awful thing, the staff at Dr. Bill's was so kind and compassionate, it helped us get through the difficult task of putting her to sleep. I had to go there with my two young children in tow, as my husband was out of town, and the staff took them to another room, blew up glove balloons for them, and let them play with the kittens. It was so helpful to me to know that they were okay while I said good-bye to our dog. The doctor cried with me and hugged me, which was so unbelievably kind. I can't say enough about what a wonderful bedside manner they have, in addition to the excellent care they give. more

Dr. Bill has been my preferred vet since 1992. He treated my first two dogs from puppies until they both had to be put down due to kidney disease. Even though I live in Williamsburg, when my current dog started having seizures, I still drove to Midlothian because I don't trust anyone but him to treat my animals. more

Had been taking my pets to Dr. Bill's for several years. Called on Saturday regarding one of my dogs that was sick. Was given advice over the phone to give the dog half an asprin and rice and chicken. Six hours later the dog was dead. Called Monday to let the vet know. No I am sorry or anything. The one star is for answering the phone promptly. Otherwise odviously not impressed with care. more

I went to Dr Bill's in the early 90's I had just adopted a stray cat that I thought had premature kittens so I rushed her and the "kittens" to Dr. Bills the nurses and the Dr's were very kind yet amused they weren't kittens my cat had raided a squrrels nest so they took them and sent them to a wild life vet over the years I have adopted 2 dogs and 4 cats all strays and he has been my vet of choice because of his kindness and compassion even to a nest of baby squrrels and woman with no knowledge of wild life and the care he takes of all my furry family members. more

Dr. Bill and his staff are awsome. We first went to him when we noticed a sore on Winnie's hip. Our normal vet refused to see us as it was near closing time on a Saturday and to call back Monday. Well that just wouldn't do! I looked in the phone book and called Dr. Bill's because they were close by. They too were about to close, but said they would wait for us. Dr. Bill examined Winnie and found that underneath her thick coat of fur, what we thought was a small sore was actually a really nasty one that went down to the bone. Given that she was 14 years old and starting to go into kidney failure (which he also discovered) the best thing to do was to put her down. We were devestated. He gave us all the time in the world to say goodbye to our "1st", and said they would take care of everything. The next day, Sunday, he called us personally to check on us, We never received a bill, and he and some of his staff stayed open well over an hour after closing time. Dr. Bill and his entire staff is awesome. They are wonderful with the animals and make the pet owners comfortable. I have been using Dr. Bill's since moving to Chesterfield County, 9 years ago and am highly recommending his facility. My 2 dogs just love it at Dr. Bills, whether for a bath, boarding, or medical checkups, they are totally exited when we pull into the parking lot. We are only purchasing the Heartworm medication and Flea and tick medication through Dr. Bill's, because of the personal touch and the concern about the pets to make sure we have the right dosage, etc. Dr. Bill and his staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and in time of crisis keep you informed and have a concern for you too. Again, I can only sing the highest praises. more

Dr. Bill was our vet when we lived in Midlothian. He was wonderful, caring , and compassionate. He was the only Dr we wanted to put our beloved Border Collie down. We have since moved to Florida and only wish we could find a vet who came close to Dr. Bill. We have 2 Shelties who are getting up in age and only wish Dr Bill would be here in our time of need. We used to take our pets to Dr. Bill when I was a kid (at a different office). We had a dog with kidney failure who was suffering terribly and we took him to Dr. Bill to put him to sleep. Dr. Bill shed tears along with us during the procedure.\r \r A few years ago I looked him up again because I had been told that the only solution to ease my current dog's pain was an $800+ surgery which I could in no way afford. We had done the surgery before and the problem came up again. When I took the dog to Dr. Bill, he wrote a very affordable prescription, and my dog was like new after just a few weeks! She was running, jumping, and playing again. It was unbelievable that other vets had either allowed my dog to continue in pain to line their wallets or because they didn't care enough to put effort into another solution.\r \r He continues to offer the most insightful, simple, and affordable advice and care for all my pets. Pros: Great hour, caring vet, reasonable rates. Cons: They aren't next door to my house and they don't work for free. :-) more

Austin Franklin was adopted, He has lived in the W.End of Rich VA, Chesterfield Co. VA, Tappahanok, VA and now he resides in Providence Forge, VA. Austin Franklin has experienced many health issues as any child would ! WE will continue to drive Austin Franklin to Dr. Bills because WE recieve EXCELLENT care.
