Excellent Work!! 6/11/2010

My husband and I needed our ceiling, trim and baseboards painted. We called Doug to schedule a time for him to come out and look around. He got back in touch with an estimate which we thought was very reasonable. A few days later, we contacted Doug and scheduled a start date and it was estimated the job would take 4 to 5 days. A job well done and on time 6/7/2010

I needed my kitchen and dining area painted within a week. Doug came and checked the room and gave an estimate. Since I was going to be out of town, there was only 1 day that worked for me. Doug and Lourdes made it happen. The painters were efficient and did a good job. I think the quote was fair and not expensive. It included the price of paint and materials. There were no surprises. Great Service - Fast, Friendly & Competent 6/7/2010

Loved this experience. Usually I use someone a friend recommends but this time I relied on reviews on Citysearch and Yelp and was so glad I used Doug and his team. They arrived on time (4 workers in total) and stripped the wallpaper and applied the texture. They accomodated me moving around the work area with my 2 kids and they cleaned up when they left for the day and arrived on time on day 2 to paint the walls. We found Doug Gorton to be very attentive to our needs. He was willing to listen to what we wanted and was very accommodating. Even when we switched several colors mid-job, Doug was very reasonable and helpful. He completed the job well within the estimated time frame. His crew completed the touch up work on the last day and did a terrific job making everything just right. We would not hesitate to recommend Doug and his crew for any painting needs. It says Professional in the name for a reason 4/1/2010

I found Doug Gorton Professional Painting through a BBB search. I was looking for contractors with A - A+ ratings and I went to the website to request a bid. He came out on a Sunday. He explained why his painters hand wash the exterior of a building rather than pressure-wash. He gave me three different paint color cards to choose from and suggested doing the doors a different color from the house. He also pointed out some problems with the siding that needed addressing as well as touching up a few other areas. The important thing is I didn't have to bring anything to his attention. He knew exactly what to look for and made sure there won't be problems that pop up in a few months. His workers arrived promptly at 8AM every day. The carpentry work took three days and painting two. I have used painters all over the country and Doug is by far the best. He is a pro: made fast and precise recommendations for materials and processes. His staff are courteous and neat. They knocked out in 3 days what would have taken me a month of Sundays .. and for the cost I have budgeted for just materials! 15 months ago I chose Doug Gorton Professionals to paint my home. I became completely frustrated and uneasy with other companies that bid on the job. It was difficult to find someone to show up, show up on time and write out an actual bid. Doug Gorton was a little more expensive than the other bids but I can tell you one thing...I have never regretted spending the extra money. My home has been my biggest investment. Affordable and honest fence repair 1/14/2010

I found Doug Gorton because he already had 48 "5 star" reviews on Citysearch. I needed some help with a fence repair in my back yard. AusTex had come out to see it, and they recommended a partial replacement for 2 sides, at a cost of over $2000. Doug came out the same day, and he said that there was no need to replace it. excellent & professional 1/6/2010

Doug gave us a great bid for our exterior paint job and his team did an excellent job. That was nearly a year ago, but I was too busy (or lazy) to write a review or even follow through on the e-mail I meant to write to him about a small touch up (a touch-up so small that I could have also done it my lazy ol' self). Imagine my surprise when Doug took the initiative and contacted me one day when he was on a job down the street to ask about touch ups and check on the house. Careful, quality work! 8/30/2009

The work done on my home was perfect. In fact, I think they might have even done more than I hired them to do! That's what happens when you hire a painter who wants every home to see its potential. I had my home hand washed, the eaves all around repainted, water shelf repaired/replaced, and some other paint touchups. The workers were extremely hard-working, conscientious, and confidence-inspiring. The work was done so quickly and well it was like elves had descended while I was at the office. I will definitely be calling Doug as I move down my list of home projects...and for advice on the best ways to tackle them. He's actually just as helpful on the front end when you're deciding where to start...Oh, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the cost of the painting work. It all looks great! We recently had the popcorn effect taken off our ceiling in our diningroom area and are thrilled with the results. Doug's team were very hardworking, and pleasant. It is an extremely messy job but they did their best to clean up and keep everything as dust free as possible. I would definitely recommend them. more

In painting the fence we had installed and in their work inside our house, Doug Gorton and his staff were very responsive to our environmental sensitivities. 1940's house looks like new 7/3/2009

I hired another painter recommended on my neighborhood (brentwood) message board who did a TERRIBLE job of half-scraping my house and then disappeared with half of my money. Doug and his crew came in and saved the day. Not only does the original wood siding on this 60 year old house look like new but before they started they raked my entire front and back yard! I pretty much asked him to "paint it gray -- make it look good" and the sleek three-color result still makes me smile every time I pull up my driveway. Thanks Doug!
