I need my car, for work and travel so it needs to be serviced right by people who know WHAT they are doing. So that's why when I need a tune-up, oil change or tire change I call these guys up to bring it in. Every time, great job... never had a complaint about their work, rates or employees. They don't talk in circles like other people do you know. I leave happy, always, I never leave like I just been duped. That's why I keep coming back. more

They're much less expensive than a dealership's repair shop, and MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE! When I found I couldn't afford the full package of work that my car needed, they helped me by prioritizing the recommendations so that I could get the most important stuff taken care of first. They guarantee their work, and they mean it. more

These guys are really honest and reliable. I went there at least 3 times for different cars, and they did inspection, repair and maintenance. Cost was always realistic and affordable. In addition to that the shop is the cleanest mechanic shop I`ve ever seen. more

I have been going here for a couple of years now. They do good work and don't try to rip you off. They know that I like to do simple stuff myself, and let me know if it is something that I can probably do on my own. Friendly staff explain things well and will do simple little stuff at no charge (replaced a tricky side marker light for me). more

When I had a Toyota pickup, before some jackass rear-ended me on the 405 (::sniff::), I figured at 125K miles, it was time for a real tune up. I do the easy stuff, like oil/filter changes, my brother helped me with front brakes, I put in a new thermostat, things like that. These guys pulled the heads, scraped the carbon from the pistons, checked the gaskets and timing chain...all too easy for these guys. I think the turn-time was a few days and the price was reasonable. If you have car issues, don't go to your dealership just for them to charge you $90 for a ""diagnostic"", give these guys a shot first. more

Car mechanics are on my list of ""avoid, if possible"" - unfortunately, one cannot avoid them unless you're a car mechanic yourself, or have a friend who is one. Putting car stuff off to the last minute is kind of my thing, it's kind of like my hair, I don't bother until it's just so bad I can't avoid it anymore. I found these guys in the phone book over a year ago. I had a light on my dash that I was ignoring until finally I thought I'd better go have it checked out. They were friendly, didn't charge me (it just didn't get reset from the oil change at some other place), and didn't try to pressure me in any way. Recently, I went in again. Here's what I have to say about them. They're super nice. The owner took me home and came to get me when they were done with my car. He's friendly, chatty, and as we talked I could tell he was on the up and up (he mentioned that it's a well known fact that mechanics are number one on the ""hate"" list of most people). I trust these guys. I've dealt with three of them so far, they polite, they're not trying to up-sell you anything and the do quality work. more

Had a great experience when my vintage Mustang needed brakes. They gave me a great quote over the phone an stuck to it. And they had it done by the next day. Friendly service, too. more

I recommend this company to anyone! Especially those people who are tired of getting ripped off by mechanics. They are honest and friendly. I went to one mechanic who told me that I had to get my brakes replaced and my rotors. Don and Don & Harold's said that my rotors were good for another year and I won't need them replaced until then. I love their customer service and their wealth of knowledge. more

Was just here today for a smog check, but most contemporary vehicles usually pass anyway. This is a ""test only"" center and really takes only 20 minutes, no appointment necessary. Just pull up and the technician (think the guy was either Hann or Hane) will run your car on the speedo, shove that sensor-probe up your car's tailpipe and the helper-gal will give you your printout. They send the test results electronically to the DMV, so all you need to do is pay Don & Harold $60 for the test. Yes, the techs are cordial, relatively clean (for working in a garage) and my tech was really careful about putting his tools away, coiling cords, that sort of thing. Really cares about the equipment (would imagine that the stuff's pretty sensitive and therefore, breakable). What else...they do accept plastic and after that little errand, just a short hop down the street for a Slurpee. more

I was so happy with the overall experience. The staff was great, they were friendly and knowledgeable. The repair was done in a short amount of time at a really fair price. I was told by a friend to use Don and Harolds and they were were right that I would be taken care of. more
