Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show

My husband and I went to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede when we were in Branson recently. They serve you food that you eat with your hands- chicken, cream soup, roll, corn on the cob. It was delicious and filling. The servers were very efficient at delivering the food and drinks and clearing the dishes. We went in October and they were already doing their Christmas show. It was beautiful and amazing and wonderful. They get you in the spirit by cheering for your side- North or South. But for the Christmas show, it was North Pole vs. South Pole. There is also a pre-show by a juggler that is also great. It is better than it sounds! We were able to get our tickets for free but they are quite expensive. I am a little biased, since this is where my husband proposed to me, but I love Dixie Stampede. The atmosphere is fun, the food portions are good, the price is not too bad for dinner and a show, and the show is interesting. I like holiday time the best. They will usher you in to take your picture when you come through the door, but you do not have to buy it, of course. They have a neat pre-show beforehand. This is one show you have to experience at least once. The food is pretty good. At the time we had a 10 y/o with us, and she liked it. The show itself is very entertaining and keeps your attention. The horses are beautiful. The theater is on the strip and easy to find. It's obviously a pricey show since dinner is included, but well worth it. more

Dolly Partons Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show is one of the most fun places to eat in Branson. The show here features buffalos, tons of horses, and ostrich races all set in a "Civil War" type setting. The food is abundant and a huge meal, so come very hungry or you won't be able to eat it all. They do special shows during the holidays so if you are around during that time, make a reservation and take in the show. It's easy to find with a huge electronic sign off of the main strip. more
