My dog, Sunshine, loves going to doggie daycare at The Dog Stop! All I have to say in the morning is, ""Does Sunshine want to go to daycare?"" and she leaps off the couch and bolts down the steps and impatiently waits to get in the car. Each day when I come to take her home, she wants to go back and play some more. The staff at The Dog Stop is amazing. They know each of the dogs by name and know each of their special quirks... Sunshine tends to be very sensitive to the heat, and if she seems too warm they will take her into the air conditioning to cool down. I also have used The Dog Stop for grooming. The groomers do an amazing job and Sunshine always leaves prancing and feeling beautiful after getting groomed. If I could give The Dog Stop 10 stars, I would! I have been taking my black Lab Daisy to Daycare at the dog stop for about a year. She is very shy but the staff have been great with her and now all I have to say is ""Doggie Camp"" and she goes nuts! I have also used the boarding services and it is so much fun to watch the videos of her playing when I am out of town. I have a couple of friends who use the Dog Stop as well and we all agree that it is hands down the best! more

The Dog Stop is the BEST place to take your dog! My dog SADIE loves it! The owners totally love dogs! They are so friendly and love the dogs they are taking care of. They know the personality's and the temperment of each dog and make the environment perfect for each pup! I would recommend The Dog Stop to everyone!!! more

I have been sending my dog to daycare here for four months and I love the establishment. The people that work there really love the dogs. When I pick up my best friend/dog, the girls at the desk always know every dog on a personal level. I have toured the place and would recommend it to anyone. During the bad weather I feel so lucky to have a place for my dog to run around indoors! more

This place is absolutely AWESOME !!! The staff are kind, courteous, very accommodating and most importantly love dogs. I have been taking my two dogs for daycare and boarding since they opened two years ago. They are so excited when we turn onto Washington Blvd, I can hardly contain them. They have been visiting 2-4 days a week for daycare and nearly once a month for boarding. Every experience has been nothing short of fantastic. My dogs are nice and tired after a day of daycare so that we can have a relaxing night at home. When I come to pick them up from a boarding stay, they always give me a quick hello, and try to run back in to resume play with all their doggy friends. The daily Facebook videos are the BEST!!! They have become very popular in my office, even among my co-workers who do not own dogs. It is so great to be able to check in and see my two dogs having a great time. My husband and I are huge fans of the Dog Stop! Our last dog, Lucy, was adopted from a shelter and had ""special needs,"" she was afraid of everything and a little grouchy. The Dog Stop was the only place we felt comfortable leaving her because the staff was so attentive and caring. Lucy never had a stressful stay at the kennel after the Dog Stop opened and we were so thankful for the piece of mind while we were away! more

We recently took our lab puppy here for 3 days of Day Care and then immediately boarded all of our dogs for several days. I picked them up on July 3rd. Two days later our lab was lethargic, coughing and had fever. Our vet xrayed her chest and saw double pneumonia. She said it had to have been a virulent strain of kennel cough to turn into pneumonia so quickly. She was placed on two antibiotics. A day or two later, our Cairn terrier began showing same symptoms. Xrays showed she also had bad kennel cough and pneumonia. All of our dogs were current in their Bordatella vaccines. We notified the kennel and asked to speak with the owner, however, the Mgr told us he was not always there and she was responsible for dealing with issues like this. more

I recently took my lab puppy to Day Care for 3 days here and boarded all of my dogs on the 4th day. I should have taken a tour of the place prior to doing this. I picked all of them up on July 3, 2011 and two days later my lab puppy was lethargic, feverish and coughing. Our vet suspected kennel cough and xrays revealed double pneumonia as well as kennel cough. She put our lab on two antibiotics and felt that the kennel cough was a virulent strain. Two days later our Cairn exhibited identical symptoms. Xrays confirmed that she had double pneumonia as well and she was placed on two antibiotics. We notified the manaager of the kennel and asked to speak with the owner, however, the mgr said she was the person who handled issues like this and we never could talk with the owner. When I went to pick all of our dogs up from boarding I asked to see the back of the place where the dogs play. I was shocked that the play area felt as though it was 90 degrees. Unlike the front where the store part is, the play areas and boarding areas have exhaust fans only...no air conditioning. The kennel advertises itself as being ""climate controlled"" but that is not what I consider climate controlled. Between the heat and the smell of a kennel I could not stay in the back and returned to the air conditioned front while my dogs were brought out. Kennel cough is spread by inadequate ventilation and heat. I also saw a conveyor belt and was told that was how they got the dogs up to the second floor for boarding. I was told an attendant carries the dogs that are fearful and there was an outdoor set of steps they could also use to get upstairs. more
