My favorite place to eat period! I'm there 2x per week and love it! Get anything on the menu and you'll be happy!

Worst

No bad, but far from the best BBQ in Los Angeles. I can't understand why such a high rating. The Bear Pit up the street is vastly better.

I was blown away by this barbeque. It was awesome. Truly the best bbq around. I live by the beach in Playa and it is worth the drive to the valley even during rush hour. more

By far the best Bar-B-Q around. Huge meaty portions, with delicious sides of steaming bread, and baked beans so mouthwatering you'll want to ask for more. A MUST FOR ANY BAR-B-QUE CONNOISSEUR. more

Texas BBQ? Where in Texas did they haveBBQ like this! I currently reside in San Antonio Texas & know what real BBQ is....Dr. Hogly is no where near it. If I want dry, greasy BBQ drowned in poor tasteless sauce Dr. Hoagly's is the place to go. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Pros: Ambience, Service Cons: Food more

Meat Platters are Manly 6/10/2002

Dr. Hogly Wogly serves big plates of food. I prefer their barbecued beef brisket, spareribs and chicken. The barbecue sauce is good and the beans are very good. Prices are in the medium range. The restaurant is sort of a dive but very authentic - has been around for decades! They also do takeout. more

Eating at Dr. Hogly Wogly's is like going back in time. The BBQ is great. Nice simple menu and the waitresses are sweet. I feel like I should have a big rig parked outside when I'm elbow deep in that awsome BBQ brisket. Pros: BBQ Icon Cons: did we just pass it? more
