PLEASE BE VERY AWARE OF WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO\r \r Using Dr. K. Dockery and his practice was one of the WORST decisions of my life. I was referred to him through my doctor and other wonderful reviews that I had read. I was dealing with a throbbing ear infection and went to his practice. FIRST it took forever to get someone on the phone- I had to call back to back for 2 days because I kept getting their answering service, even after 9:30am and their lunch break is approx 2 hours so there's no way I could reach anyone between 11-1. Next, when I arrived at my appointment (at 8am) the office was CLOSED. THE LIGHTS WERE OFF AND NO ONE WAS INSIDE. I knocked on the door (mad because I had just paid $5 parking that's not validated) and after apprx 15minutes someone came from the back and asked me why I was here so early. It went down hill after that. There was appx 25 wait time (obviously) and when I finally got in to see the doctor, he took one look inside my ear and said 'Ear too impacted, nothing I can do- will prescribe ear drops and come back in about a week.' THAT ENTIRE CONVERSATION TOOK LESS THAN 5 MINUTES! Needless to say I was fuming but what really did it for me was coming back for a follow up and then being charged AGAIN for a whole new visit. Needless to say I didn't and will not be returning there. It took me 3 weeks to get the billing staff on the phone because of her schedule and vacation/outoftheoffice etc and they had the nerve to charge me a finance charge. So NO, I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME HERE AND YES I WILL BE POSTING THIS REVIEW ON AS MANY REFERRAL SITES THAT I CAN SO THAT PEOPLE ARE VERY AWARE OF WHAT TO EXPECT. Dr. Dockery is very pleasant and explained my condition (didn't entirely fix it though) but his business side of his practice is AWFUL. I really hope he and his staff can review this review and make the necessary adjustments. more

I can not say enough BAD things about this character. This person is something else, he does not have any IDEA about medicine, I even very much doubt that he has a college degree. I can only say one thing about this person, what a JOKE. more

Dr. Dockery performed surgery on me some years back on my sinuses. He was very direct and to the point. We have shared some laughs, but he can be about business as well. I was surprised to find out he was the chief surgeon of a near-by hospital. His work on my sinuses was complimented not only by my pcp, but other docs who have had to take a look up there. They say it was a good job. I was dissapointed that there were some adjustments necessary prior to surgery that were not shared. This was one of the WORST doctors appointments I have every been to, and have the nerve to be chief of something. He should be GM of Must Kill Cafe. I don't think he has a professional vocabulary at all being a doctor. Very poor communication skills, It seems as though he is not knowledgable in all areas of ENT. Please make sure you have a active written will before you pay a visit to this person; most likely your family needs that after this guy is done with you. I visited Dr. Dockery's office 3 times, all with a wait over an hour after my scheduled appointment time. The doctor is knowledgeable but not worth the hassle. The office staff was supposed to get my test results via fax and could not do it for over a week! If you are a busy professional, either get ready to take the whole day off or avoid this doctor. more

Not only is he the chief of surgery of the affiliated hospital, but he is very down to earth. I had my son's tonsils removed by him and this was a very good experience. I felt like I knew him. You won't be disappointed. I didn't ever experience long wait times, if I did, I think it would not really bother me because he was such a good doctor with a wonderful staff. There is not enough good I could say about Dr. Keith Dockery. I was very ill with abscessed tonscils and the urgent care center I went to immediately called for an ambulance to take me to the emergency room for emergency surgery. I had no insurance and could not afford to do this. A nurse called Dr. Dockery who agreed to take me right then and there; and he did the extraction in his office with only local novacaine to save me thousands. He was gentle, compassionate, professional, and so good at what he does I didn't even feel it! His staff is just as great. He listens to you- and really actually cares. My children and I have been patients for 5 years. Dr. Dockery placed tubes in both of my children's ears. In fact, he saved our youngest child's hearing. He is a wonderful doctor and is great with children. His staff is also very knowledgeable and eager to assist in anyway. I am fortunate to have a wonderful place to take my children. Dr. Dockery has preformed sinus surgery for me 2x, excellent results! He was very honest telling me that the same irritants that caused the scarring, cysts and polyps the first time were still in the air and that I may need another surgery. Many times surgeons think they are Gods and leave the patient with unrealistic expectations from the surgery. I appreciate his honesty and have referred several of my friends to his practice. I have been seeing Dr. Dockery for the past 4 months and he is great! I also found his staff to be very chipper and courteous. It isn't everyday that you can find a specialist like Dr. Dockery, conveniently located in the buckhead/downtown area of Atlanta, who is so willing to tell you the truth with compassion. I've been a patient of Keith Dockery for over 10 years. He is terrific! Very knowledgable and very personable. I had what was supposed to be a short 20 minute appoitment yesterday, 1/3/06 with the Audiologist for an ear plug fitting at 2:30. I was ignored in the waiting room from 2:30 to 3:45, and then I finally left. If someone would have told me that there was a problem, I could understand, but they just let me sit there. What I really love about Dr. Dockery is that he will spend as much time as I need explaining my medical condition and possible treatment. He jokes with you and makes you feel very comfortable. Yet, he is very honest and upfront with you regarding your health. Nothing is sugarcoated. I highly recommend him to anyone experiencing airway problems. more
