I was very pleased with the optimism and willingness to find away to get the best outcome. Tony was very informative and I could not be more pleased with the results.

DO NOT use this Lawyer!!! Last year, Anthony DiTocco began a sophisticated campaign, which is when he started the practice of bankruptcy law, of spending significant sums of money...

Friend and Colleague 11/18/2011

Tony DiTocco is a friend and a colleague. He is an outstanding and competent attorney with a great deal of professional and business experience. I have referred clients to Tony and will continue to do so. Tony is the first attorney I think of for consumer bankruptcies, and I wholeheartedly recommend his services. more

Phony review warning 11/15/2011

Tony DiTocco has built an extremely successful bankruptcy practice and as a result is being cyber-attacked by a competitor who creates fake login names and fabricates horrible untruths. If you any question whatsoever as to the ""events"" described in some of these ""reviews,"" please call DiTocco Law Group at 954-566-9000, and speak to Tony DiTocco personally; he will answer any questions you may have. Further, he will provide his personal cell phone number (as he does with EVERY client and potential client) on which you may contact him any time. We take slander very seriously, have filed a lawsuit against this person, and will be prosecuting this person to the fullest extent of the law. DiTocco Law Group is very proud of the relationships that it enjoys with EVERY one of its clients, and we are thankful to those clients who have written true accounts of their experiences with the firm. Tony DiTocco holds a Master's Degree in Accounting along with his Law Degree from the University of Florida, and in his 23 years as a licensed attorney, he has successfully negotiated and/or discharged hundreds of millions of dollars of debt. His assistant Teresa has practiced as a Bankruptcy Paralegal for over 10 years (including a stint working for a Bankruptcy Trustee), and she has assisted in the filing of hundreds of Bankruptcy cases.\r more

$1,500 for a PARALEGAL??!!?!? 11/12/2011

$1500 for a paralegal??!!?!? I hired Tony for my bankruptcy case, and except for the initial meeting, which lasted all of about 10 minutes with him, all of the rest of the relationship was with his secretary/paralegal Teresa. He was NEVER available to take any of my calls or answer any of my questions. Granted, Teresa is very sweet and all, but if I had wanted to hire a paralegal I would have done so..... and saved myself a whole lot of money!! Teresa literally did everything for my case!! But you dont pay $1500 for a the services of a paralegal, no matter how friendly she may be. Now I see why all the prior reviews mention Tony AND Teresa.... It's because she does ALL THE WORK!! I cannot say that Tony interacted with me at all after the brief initial meeting.... All my dealings were with Teresa!! I only wish these reviews had been up earlier. I would have found another ""friendly"" paralegal and paid somewhere around $200 or so for their services!! Come to think of it, having since reading a bunch of other reviews of bankruptcy lawyers on the internet, I didnt see ANY of those reviews talking about the lawyer's paralegal as much... or at all.... the way the reviews of Tony DiTocco did here. Curious.... more

Due to Recent Financial Hardships 11/7/2011

Due to recent financial hardships, I decided I needed to seek legal advice about the pros and cons of filing bankruptcy versus other alternatives that I was also considering. Before talking with Tony, I met with a different attorney. Not to be harsh, but it was not time well spent. I was rushed in and out and left with an inadequate understanding of the considerable set of factors relevant to my situation. \r I felt so uncomfortable deciding which course of action I should take that I decided to speak with another attorney. Very good decision on my part. I initially meet with Tony, a very personable individual, for a full hour. I was extremely impressed with his level of knowledge and his ability to clearly explain even rather complicated issues. I agreed to pay a modest fee for him to take my information and run the relevant calculations for deciding if it made sense to file bankruptcy. Over the next few days we exchanged emails and talked for an hour and a half by phone. Never did I feel that he was trying to sell me on filing bankruptcy. Rather, he simply explained with perfect clarity what I could expect if I decided to take that path. \r Given the changes in the bankruptcy laws since I filed back in the mid-90s, I've come to realize that this is not the best course of action for me at this time. I am now working with my creditors to come to a mutually agreeable solution. \r I feel extremely fortunate to have found Tony in what was, until his involvement, an extremely stressful and confusing situation. I would not hesitate to call upon him again should the need ever arise and give him my strongest recommendation. \r Tony: If you read this, thanks so much. You are a credit to your profession. \r more

Real Novice Bankruptcy Lawyer 11/5/2011

Tony DiTocco is a real novice. In fact, he has just recently begun practicing bankruptcy law. I am a former client of Tony's, and I can absolutely attest to this fact. He may have been around doing something other than bankruptcy, but he he has only begun filing bankruptcy cases in 2011!!! Mr. DiTocco's ability to practice bankruptcy law is questionable at best. He's utterly disorganized, and his work habits are sloppy. He comes across in his person as polished, but I can assure you that underneath the veneer is one hot mess. From his initial approach, which is more like a used car salesman than an attorney, to the utter confusion he engenders when it pertains to gathering all the necessary data to complete the bankruptcy process, to his then filing the case without the proper paperwork and almost getting my case dismissed, to his then ""cold as ice"" treatment of me after he got me to retain him, and all the way up to the court meeting with the Bankruptcy Trustee, Mr. DiTocco is the quintessential NON-professional! He may very well have been a member of the Florida Bar since 1989, but I checked his experience out - he filed just 1 bankruptcy case at the very end of 2010 - his FIRST case - and then only began filing cases in February 2011. To date, he has only filed about 30 or 40 cases, or an average of about 4 per month. Doesn't sound like an ""experienced bankruptcy attorney"" to me. To make matters worse, he's begun a tactical campaign of planting phony reviews of himself all over the internet, telling of what a ""terrific lawyer"" and ""great and lovable guy"" he is.... yeah, right. Either Mr. DiTocco, or someone hired by him, is clearly responsible for this public hoax. These BS accounts of his "immense ability" as a lawyer are pure and unadulterated BS and are completely unreliable. What these fabricated reviews portray is a lawyer which Mr.Tony DiTocco sadly is not. Heed my advice: If you are going to go through all the trouble and aggravation that filing for bankruptcy brings with it, and then are going to spend hard-earned money to hire a professional to assist you with the handling of it, do yourself a BIG favor - hire another bankruptcy attorney, any other bankruptcy attorney, than Tony DiTocco. In my opinion, the man should be doing something other than practicing bankruptcy law. BTW, if you're reading this Tony, just because someone is telling it as it is (i.e., the truth) that you're basically incompetent to practice bankruptcy law, it does not mean that they are ""a non-existent person"" or that their review is bogus. I'm more inclined to believe them than you, sir. more

Fantastic! 9/14/2011

My husband and I own(ed) several rental properties, all of which were behind on payments and completely underwater. We were referred to Tony by an attorney who highly recommended him based on the fact that he had been CEO of a large developer and was very familiar with real estate issues. Within about 15 minutes of our 1 hour consultation, Tony had completely analyzed our sitiuation and laid out a strategy that was clear and concise. Needless to say, we retained him.\r \r The next several weeks were spent gathering documents and working with Tony's assistant Teresa, who has been filing bankruptcies for 10 years. Teresa was as pleasant and personable as she was knowledgeable. When she and Tony felt that the application was perfect, they filed our case.\r \r The day of our creditor meeting, Tony met us 30 minutes before our hearing time and he explained what was happening in each case before ours so that we would know what to expect. It calmed my nerves tremendously. When our turn came the Trustee had a lot of questions because our case was complicated, but we were prepared and we passed with flying colors! We are now debt-free!\r \r Thanks so much for EVERYTHING Tony and Teresa! more

You Guys Rock! 7/9/2011

I recently used DiTocco for my bankruptcy filing. I considered four firms, and three couldnt wait to get me off the phone. When I called Tony's office, Theresa spent 30 minutes on the phone with me! The day I met with Tony, he sat with me for a full hour, and he explained the whole process to me in totally understandable detail. He told me he used to teach college accounting and I could definitely see that. Not surprisingly, the process went extremely smoothly, exactly as Tony had described it. I am now finally able to start my new life! Thanks guys - you rock! more

BEWARE!!! 6/15/2011

BEWARE!! This attorney has recently begun promoting himself as an ""experienced"" bankruptcy attorney, but that is not true. I hired him to file a Chapter 7 bankruptcy for me, but it was taking so long to get filed, I got curious. I learned that, to date, Mr. DiTocco has ONLY FILED 18 BANKRUPTCY CASES!!! That is why it took forever, they are learning on YOUR DIME!!! I have since retained another attorney who thus far has done everything correctly and on time. BTW, I learned that a typical bankruptcy attorney files on average 25-40 cases PER MONTH!! To make matters worse, when I demanded the return of the fee I paid them, for having done basically nothing, they refused to take any of my phone calls, and I was always told that ""The attorney is away in Court."" He was ""always in Court"". Do yourself a favor and KEEP AWAY from this firm... Let them learn how to practice bankruptcy law on somebody else's dime. more
