I love this hotel!!!!!! 8/10/2011

As many have reviewed in already the Grand California, aka GCH is a awesome hotel. The rooms are FAB!!! You want luxury? Book it at the Grand Californian at Disneyland Resort! Most every room facing the tram plaza see's the fireworks at night and view of Disneyland, the other rooms at the back of the hotel face California Adventure and at night you can also see World of Color. The pools at the GCH are really inviting!! And for the adults, they have poolside drink catering?beer, cocktails and wine! If you are a disney vacation club member you get DVC points that you can redeem and stay at the new villas. more

Great Hotel BUT... 2/6/2011

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there! more

It was ridiculous! 3/12/2009

My wife, grandkids and I stayed at the Grand Californian Resort and Spa when we visited Disneyland. We were especially glad that there was tram that could transport us directly to the park, without walking, as I do have certain limitations.\r \r Unfortunately, I feel completely misrepresented to because when I spoke with the hotel reservationist, I was not told that the tram is several blocks away from the hotel already. I even discussed to her that it was good to have the tram handy to jump into at the lobby, as I remember this is how it was at Disneyland Hotel in my younger days, but sadly she never mentioned it was far away.\r \r The hotel was also incredibly chaotic during the check-in process and the room we were given were clear around the complex, because we wanted a view of the park, which meant even more walking. It took at least 45 minutes to walk from the hotel lobby to our room. It was ridiculous! more

Great Hotel, for a stiff price 2/27/2006

We have stayed at nearly every hotel in the Disneyland area and this was always on our dream list. Finally, we pulled it off and made our reservations. First arrival was very impressive as we were met at the gate and checked in quite easily. The Bell Captain was quick to help with bags and our stay was under way. Our room was nothing more than your average hotel room. The decor was fabulous throughout but this room left much to be desired. Wait, no wireless internet? The bathrobes were nice though. This hotel seemed better if you were not in your room. The pools/spa were awesome. The restaurants/lounge were great. The location is unbeatable until you look at your price tag. As much as we love Disney and as much as we go, this will be our last stay at this WAY overpriced hotel. Pros: Good Parking, Great Service, Location Cons: very expensive, average rooms more

It's Nice But It Is No Wine Cellar 9/1/2005

Napa Rose's Lounge is nice but if you want something more quiet and romantic visit the other Disneyland Resort wine room at the Disneyland Hotel called the Wine Cellar below Hook's Pointe restaurant. There are only 6 tables so it you are often the only people in the room. There is complimentary cheeses to accompany your glass or bottle of wine. They also have appetizers and desserts. A romantic place for a first date or meeting friends in an intimate setting. more

Can't Recommend Anything Better! 5/1/2005

I live in Seattle and have visited Disneyland numerous times, but this was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at! It had amazing service; they were more then willing to make you feel at home! They had a great restaurant that the whole family would enjoy which we dined at many times throughout our stay. It was also great to be able to enter the park and be able to come in and out as you pleased. There pools were stunning and there pool side service was just as amazing as the pools themselves! It was a little bit expensive, but Im a firm believer in what you pay for is what you get! Pros: Amazing Service, Easy Park Access, Stunning Pools Cons: Expensive more

Can't get any better!! 5/19/2003

I belive that this is the best hotel in Anahiem. My family and I are disneymaniacs and we visit Anahiem very often. We'er talking nine to ten times a year, so we've stayed at most of the hotels in the area. You can't get the full disney effect until you've stayed at the Grand Californian. This is by far one of California's best Hotels. Belive me, I work at a Resort Hotel !!! Pros: great atmosphere, Top of the line, Beautiful inside-out more

Warm and Inviting 8/7/2002

This is the mother of all romantic hotels, only because of the cozy and inviting feel of the Arts and Crafts movement themeing. more

elegance in the heart of Disney 8/7/2002

The grand Californian is just beautiful. It looks just like something a person would find in Northern areas of California. The rooms have a rustic theme and there are tours daily for guests who want to learn about the archetecture. I would recomend this for anyone looking for a weekend escape. more

Spectacular 6/24/2002

We loved staying here...I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Extremely conveinent to both parks. Got Fast Pass to Great River Ride, sat by pool, went back in when time came up, returned to pool. Perfect!! Had conceirge service which was nice. Too many kids at the wine and cheese. Also too many kids in the ""calm"" pool. I know Disneyland is for kids, but some adult time can be lifesaving!! more

Plush and fun 5/14/2002

Who knew Disney could offer such luxury: The rooms are large and luxurious, the decor is charming yet comfortable and the amenities are excellent (especially the fluffy, white robes). A luxury hotel that's kid-friendly, too? Mickey does it again. Pros: great pools Cons: expensive restaurants more
