My bf and I took Pranee's Joy of Thai Cooking class in the new Ballard store a few weeks ago and, for the most part, enjoyed ourselves. Pranee is a true Thai chef, was humble and humorous, attentive, and fun. The menu she went over was diverse, with five different things, including green curry, wide rice noodles, fresh wraps, tom kha soup, and black sticky rice for dessert. Overall, it was great. The only thing that would have made it better is more student-instructor interaction and more hands-on learning. It was pretty demonstrative, but not too hands-on at all. And, the class was packed, way too many students for the amount of food that was prepared.
