I've bought a number of firearms and a lot of ammo over the years from DGM, shoot there regularly, and have my guns worked on by Robert (after Tim Lafrance moved away). I've always had excellent service, but I don't mind waiting to be served, generally know what I want, and am not afraid to negotiate on price. The sales staff experiences a fair rate of turnover and the knowledge base and customer service could sometimes be better, but I've always been satisfied with how I've been treated. As for the complaint that the gunsmithing takes a long time, you'll find that to be an issue with many gunsmiths. I think Tim had one of my guns nearly 5 years. You just wait and deal with it. If you need a gun turned around quickly, then you need to specify that upfront and get a firm commitment date at the outset. If you don't have priority, then expect to wait. As far as the quality of the work, I've always had good results with any gun that Robert has done for me. They all work reliably, which is what really matters - at least in a carry gun.
Pros: Good selection of firearms & ammo, attached range.
Cons: Sales staff sometimes could be more attentive to customers.
