FEMALE TECHS 1/27/2012

My girlfriend worked here a couple months back before finally leaving. This was her first tech job and was with this company about 3 months making minimum wage during training. While she was training they had her drive her own vehicle one day to meet a tech and leave her vehicle at a mall. I was not happy about this because this vehicle is on my insurance and 95% of vehicles are stolen from malls. Not to mention she was there alone for about 15 minutes waiting for the tech to pick her up to only go out and do one job. Unacceptable. This same day she was dropped back off at her vehicle then drove it back to the parma office because the tech was leaving early. He then drove her to Lakewood so she could work with the field manager...however they didn't work. He then drove back to parma where she had just left with the tech that was leaving early and the manager just drove her around for 3 hours doing nothing. Now mind you she was in training trying to learn the job so she could get out on her own which at this time had already been 3 months. I spoke with her on the phone a couple times that day while he was just driving her around and questioned why he was just driving her around when she was suppose to be training and learning so she could get on her own. She didn't know. Other techs were in the area working and she could have easily been working with them. They could only pay her minimum wage but yet they have the money to drive around for 3 hours doing nothing and her learning nothing. I was not happy about this because i thought it was very unproffesional. After he drove her around for 3 hours he then took her to a house where a tech was already working and dropped her off. That job ended up lasting a hot minute before her day ended. Now why did it take him 3 hours to finally take her to meet a tech to work? Unacceptable and very unprofessional. I think this company is a joke. more

Let me tell you all something about Dcc... All of you that complain about working for this company, didn't deserve your job in the first place. I worked for Dcc for 6+ years, went from tech to supervisor. Everyone that was fired didn't do their jobs, but were given multiple chances to keep them. If you didn't make enough money, then it was your own fault.. Tech's bitchin that they had too much work but bitched when they didn't make money.. IT'S YOUR FAULT NOT DCC... As far as my experience, I wish I never left, I enjoyed every year I was there... Oh yeah 1 more thing all the other contractor companies out there Suck Ass thats why you have a job today.... But it won't last for long, especially if you work there and you still do the shitty work you did at Dcc. Because that company you work for now will soon be out of business LMAO more

Don't do it! Don't work for them, do not have them do your installation. In fact if a DCC truck rolls to your house to do your install, call your cable provider and request a house technician. I mean it. I will grant that things may have improved since they did my work because of a reported change in management.... Lets hope so. Bye bye bugjuice! LOL :-) more

Not the Folks to do Your Install 4/26/2011

These are NOT the people to have do your cable installation or switch your network over from DSL to Cable modem. The tech came in and moved my computer desk fracturing the leg, drilled a hole in my wall for an outlet with out my permission, and then could not switch my wireless network from DSL to his modem. It was a nightmare! The tech kept insisting the problem was with my computers and when told that they all worked fine on the DSL and wireless network proceded to insult my intelligence and insinuate that I knew NOTHING about networking. If these guys show up at your house to do your intall...INSIST....no DEMAND that a Charter employee be assigned to your task! more

Resourceful 11/9/2010

Not everyone is perfect, but these folks come close! They had to rewire my condo and they did a professional and thorough job. The manager scheduled the work to coincide with other work being done so they could hide the wires properly. Looks great , thanks!!! more

So, i saw what peoples were writting and thought I had to give the facts about working for Digital Cable for almost 4 years.\r \r They were good times, and not so good.\r \r THE GOOD:\r Never had to worry about getting paid.\r \r Never had to worry about being laid off.\r \r Had good health/dental insurance.\r \r Overtime\r \r 26% Bonus every month just for doin my job.\r \r Didn't have to pay for anything but my tools.\r \r Anytime i was pissed i could talk to the boss.\r \r \r THE BAD:\r Would get a job where a tech did crappy work, and i would have to fix it.\r \r One week i worked 70 hours and only averaged about $10 per hour. The 30 hours overtime was nice though.\r \r Slow times would only work like 35 hours when it was slow.\r \r Had to go to tech meetings on Friday morning.\r \r Had to go to safety meetings and training meetings at 6:30 in the morning sometimes.\r \r Only 7 days paid vacation to start.\r \r \r There it is just the facts, if you don't believe me send me an email and we can talk.\r \r I left for a better job, and now all i got is someone on my back 9 hours a day and don't get any overtime. more

I've had wonderful work done by this company. Professional office workers and technicians. It's sad to see so many hateful remarks when the economy tanks and people are let go. I wonder what is being said about Amtrust Bank. Pros: Professional Services more

Hard work but fair 5/24/2010

It's a good company to work for, they have high expectations but will help along the way.\r \r I read the other reviews on here and i'm sure they were both lousy tech's. The hours can be long but you get paid overtime and if you need a break they will give it to you. The biggest problem I had was listening to some of the other tech's constantly complain, not work and then the good tech's had to pick up they're slack. Last I heard though this changed,\r \r The only way I was able to get a job in house was because of the experience I got at Digital Cable. They expect the best, and if you don't do your job they will tell you, like everyone should. Pros: Decent Money, Job Security Cons: Sometimes long hours, Some co-workers cry alot more

Scam artists 2/24/2010

I worked with this company for a period of time... Pay was basically under minimum wage. It's slave labor quite simply put. So of course I leave. Just as any other worthless company might do. They are refusing to mail my last check. Do not work here ever. Cons: They don't pay you... At all. more
