Horrible Service 2/4/2011

I brought my Dodge 1500 in and a week later they had made zero head way. They have a bad reputation but being in the service and just getting stationed here I didn't know that. I can honestly say that in all my years of moving all over the U.S. this is the worst I've ever seen a dealership operate. STAY AWAY! more

Second sticker adds $3,000 8/11/2009

This is a stereotypical sleazy dealership. They add a second sticker bringing their price $3000 above MSRP. Other Portland area dealers don't. Why waste your time negotiating when they start so high? WA residents can buy in OR with less grief. That's what I ended up doing after wasting an afternoon here. more

Terrible Service 2/12/2008

I never used Dick Hannah before because I heard nothing but terrible things about them and after this experience - I'll never use them again. I reluctantly chose them because i needed a body part on my passat and their quote was the cheapest. Little did I know it was going to take me driving down there 4 times, dealing with 3 different departments, getting inaccurate quotes, and encountering downright condescending and rude customer service. My husband had a similar experience with Dick Hannah Pro Calibur's service department. Took his Yamaha in for something relatively small - took them over a month and they fried the starter. bunch of hacks. more

Poor Service, Waste of Time 4/4/2006

We had a terrible time when we went car shopping at Dick Hannah. As soon as we got there, the salesmen were running up to our car. We did a few test drives, and decided on a Mini-Van. At the time we had plenty of income coming in, both DH and I were working as Work Study Students, and going to school full time since we were laid off from our work. But they wouldn't finance us for $3K on the Van. Saying we didn't have income. We even had $5K to put down. This mind you is after an hour of playing the going-back and forth game. We thought it was absolutly silly, and went to Thomason in Oregon, the following week and had no problems. more

Typical Car Lot-but capable of good deals 12/8/2005

There are several different car lots all under the Dick Hannah name. I think all of the major auto manufacturers are represented. We encountered the typical sleazy salesmen, who were pushy and just wanting to make a sale, but there were a few who at least gave the impresssion that they cared that we walked out of there happy. This place is huge, and definitely don't take their first offer, because it won't be their best. Overall, I think they're ok, and from what I've gathered, they stand behind the products they sell. Being a big business like that though, they don't need to wheel and deal as much as a smaller dealership might. Go in with all your facts and information and push for a good deal. They can do it, but they won't offer it on their own. more

Good Cars, Bad Service 8/6/2005

I bought a car at Dick Hannah Volkswagen and did not have a good experience. I first bought a stick shift new beetle. I was financed at a very high rate. I few days later I came back and decided I wanted an automatic and they said I could drive a new one home that day. They promptly set me up in a new car. I came back a few days and found out the price was way more than I had originally paid. Part of the problem was me being naïve, but part of it was their pushy service. more
