I've had a great experience with Diamonds Chicago- once as a recipient of my engagement ring, and once as a buyer of my wedding band. When I went in for my wedding band, Jonathan and Raymond helped me. They were very kind and helpful. It was much better than my experience at another store. My fiance got my engagement ring at the same place, and I love my ring. It's exactly what I would have chosen for myself, and my fiance has nothing but great things to say about Diamonds Chicago, too. more

on a referral for a friend my boyfriend decided to get me my engagement from there..(back story) he has been in Afganistan for the last year and have been email them to work on getting a ring designed,while we were planing our wedding. I am sure that it helped to focus on something postive while he was there.. He finally comes home and goes to pick up the ring(he paid cash for it) and the center stone is not straight..and doesnt really look like what they discussed..but only having a couple of days before he has to report back to the base...decides to take it and just let me take it back after he proposes..ok..keep in mind the wedding is weeks away and not only is the stress of that ..but now he is on a base in NY..so I am flying back and forth to find employment and a house and to top it off ..I have to take back a ring that shouldnt have even been given out looking like that..so I go in VERY NICE and point out the stone isnt straight, there are drips from the casting and the head(where the center stone is) isnt straight!! they told me it would take an hour to fix it and can I come back to pick it up..well I am flying out that night ..so they fedex it to me in NY the next day(still 10 days before the wedding) I get the package ..its still not right..I call PISSED OFF!! I ask Famina..if she even looked at it? there was still drips for the casting ...and the head was STILL NOT STRAIGHT!!! keep in mind that this ring was close to 10k!! I said I was coming in town in 2 days and expected them to fix it...she was RUDE and UNPROFESSIONALl!!! I was so mad ..I told them I wanted to return the ring..how mad does someone have to be to say that.. she said they dont take take custom work..(is it really custom when its not right?)SO I asked to deal with someone else..I called my friend and asked him who he deals with..he said Carlee..she called me and asked me to come in to fix it..I did ..she proceeds to tell me that ..NO ONE in the office should have dealt with that designer..because he does shitty work (my thought is that they make more money off the ring and that designer is cheaper) We take it to another designer and they discuss how to fix my ring(5 days before my wedding) they continue to bad mouth the designer and they are all aware of who he is and I keep wondering..why did mine get made there?? they tell me it wont be ready for a couple of days..(we are getting married in the keys and leaving in a couple of days..my ring gets to me the day we leave for the keys..flight is at 5 and the ring gets to my house at 1230...STRESSED!!!.. and its still not right..now im in ny ..with a shitty made ring!! I called and asked to speak to the owner...still NO CALL...Dont go there!! they dont care and once they get the money they have no reason to make it right!!! I never write reviews...but I couldnt help myself..I am VERY UNHAPPY!!!! If my long winded..venting will stop just one person from going there..I will be happy...(not as happy as getting a ring that is done right..but that didnt happen) more

I did search a lot for the perfect classic engagement ring for the person I'm in love with! This store was suggested to me by a friend of mine. Great customer service, special Thank you to Raimond, Jammie, Carlee for lots of attention, I do know now quite a lot about diamonds. My fiancee now has a beautiful diamond ring, that makes her happy avery time she looks at it as it is considered by us a love expression. Great selection and super prices! more

After hearing about Jewelers Row, my boyfriend (now fiance) and I decided to head down to look at some engagement rings. Little did we know that we were going to find an amazing education on diamonds, great costumer service, beautiful diamonds, and the ability to create our own rings. My GF and I live in Jewelers row and to say the least we have many many choices of jewelers to go to. After walking in to Diamonds Chicago we knew that this place was for us. Everyone was so friendly and we had multiple people assisting us. Running up and down stairs trying to find the perfect diamonds and bands for us. This was the only place we went that we felt like they sincerely cared about us and what we were looking for. I felt the price was fair and reasonable and they worked with me on getting the best possible prices within my budget. My GF wanted a black diamond center stone in her engagement ring and this was also the only place that had the quality and size of black diamond I was looking for. We wanted a very specific number of diamonds on the bands and they were very fast about customizing the rings to meet our exact needs! I really enjoyed my experience at Diamonds Chicago. They took the time to educate me on what makes a quality diamond, and found a setting and diamond that my fiance and I both love. They have a lot of settings to choose from right in the store, which was a big plus. Other places I went to could only show me options in books, whereas at Diamonds Chicago I was able to see exactly what I was getting. They even gave me advice on how to propose. Plus, the ring was done in just a half hour rather than days or weeks, since they do all adjustments in the same building instead of having to ship it out. It was a recommendation from a friend, and I will definitely be recommending them to my friends as well! more

Diamonds Chicago is the best. They are very patient and walk you through the important aspects of buying a diamond. They were very friendly and down to Earth. I felt very comfortable buying my fiance's engagement ring here. We had a similarly wonderful experience when we went back 6 months later to pick out wedding bands. They are so friendly, nice and professional. They gave me a wonderful price for my stones. Within 45 minutes they had replaced my stone and fixed one of the prongs that had broken. They are wonderful! I have recommended them to all of my family and friends. They are truly excellent!! more

I had searched the Chicago area for months looking for a engagement ring. My search ended when i met Fahmina at Diamonds Chicago. She did a awesome job working with me to find the perfect diamond that blew everyone's prices away. You will be hard pressed to find a equal quality diamond for the prices they offer. Of course i decided to have a ring custom made after the diamond experience. I used a design of a reputable high end jeweler. After catering to my constant refinements I can say without a doubt that the end product far exceeded the original jewelers quality. The attention to detail was excellent.
