I got into two accidents in the past 2 months. My first accident, I got repaired at a place in Brea. Service was ok. I wasn't expecting much from Detroit Auto Body, but received fantastic service from both Eddie and Larry. They updated me regularly with status of the vehicle. When it was time to pick up my vehicle, Eddie went outside and showed me the work done and waited for my approval. Nice shop that I would not hesitate to return to or recommend. more

Extremely disappointed that this company will not put a car back together if it was driven onto the property in running condition after a collision that was deemed not my fault. I chose to keep the car due to the engine being completely fine and also to the fact I had that option to do so and then this company decided they will not put it back together and deliver it back to me in pieces. What kind of customer service is being run here? RESPONSE FROM Detroit Auto Body: Wherere very sorry that your vehicle was deemed a total loss. When an insurance carrier needs to write a complete estimate they ask us the repair facility to remove the parts for inspection, in cases like this some parts are unable to be reinstalled properly, and making the vehicle unsafe for highway use witch could lead to a possible citation. Being in the industry we have seen things like this happen before. Usually were able to accommodate the customer by installing and repairing a minimal amount to make the vehicle safe for highway use. Overall we would love to put your car back together but we would need some new parts to achieve that. more

I must admit I went into the body shop a bit leery after having a bad experience with another body shop. Detroit autobody exceeded my expectations and did a wonderful job. Thank you!!! more

I had a good experience with Detroit Auto Body. I made an appointment with them, dropped off my car, and they called me the next day and told me what it would take to get the job done. They did what they said they would do, and they did it on time. They were very pleasant and professional. My car had been keyed, so they did blend and paint work, and you cannot even tell it was done. Unless the paint washes off in the next, I will be a happy guy. more

Both my cars are Lexus ES300's both 12 years old. Each car in the past year was involved in very minor accidents where the front hood was crimpled along with some front bumper damage. Detroit performed the repairs working with AAA my insurance carrier. The work was outstanding and their paint guy is truly the best. you cannot tell that the front end of the car was repainted from a color standpoint. They even drove my car home for me the 2nd time when I indicated that I couldn't there before closing. Outstanding service and very personable friendly as well. I highly recommend this shop. more

I was hit two different times, on my side and my bumper, and Detroit Auto Body fixed me up both times. It came out perfect. I can't tell there was an accident, and I don't think anybody else can because he matched the paint perfect. I'm really satisfied with their work. I really can't say anything more. more

Just recently I was in an accident. My car was in horrible shape! I sent my car into Detroit Auto Body and they made my car look better then it did before my accident. There are a couple different body shops right down the street from my work, and I had taken my car to one of them and everything turned out fine. However, my boss took her car to Detroit Auto Body and highly recommended them. She said the service was excellent, they were very respectful, and her car was done on time. She had nothing but great things to say, so I decided to try them. I was very satisfied with Detroit Auto Body. I felt exactly the same way that my boss did. My Mazda had been rear-ended, so they had to replace the bumper. Everything turned out great. They washed it after doing the work, and it looks really good, as if it is brand-new. Also, the car was ready when they told me it would be ready. This was important because I had to get a rental car in the interim and I needed my car to be done on time. I usually do not like walking into mechanic shops to get my car worked on, but at Detroit Auto Body, they make you feel very comfortable. It was not awkward for me at all, as a woman, and I really appreciated that. more

Eddie is a good mechanic. I had two experiences with Detroit Auto Body in a rather short time frame. The first time I was whacked by another driver on the side of my new Lexus, and then a little later I proceeded to tail into a guy during stop and go traffic. Eddie had just finished the first repair when I had to come back for him to do work on my bumper. Not only did Eddie handle the situations quickly, but I presume the pricing was very fair, because the other people paying for it bought his bid. I was very pleased with the job he did. I had a little problem with a widow closing, and he took a couple of days hard work to fix it. I am pleased how he stayed with the problem rather than having me live with a car with a noise in the widow. He wouldn't quit until he knew what caused the issue. Now I have a nice, quiet ride in my car, which is what I expect. He only took two and a half days for the bumper, and I had anticipated a week. He jumped right on it, no questions asked. There are two gentlemen at Detroit Auto Body, Eddie and his partner Larry. They really run a good team. When Eddie is away and Larry takes the call he picks the ball right up as if it was Eddie. Both of them interface extremely well together and make an excellent team. Usually you only want to work with one person, but in this instance it is not a big deal to work with both of them. They handle their customers extremely well. more

I came to Detroit Autobody looking to have my bumpers painted while I was on vacation. I handed my keys and these guys were able to make it happen. When I came home to pick up my truck I was in absolute shock to see how good of a job they had done. It looked as if it came from the factory. Every panel that was painted had even better fit then it did from the factory. I would suggest Detroit Autobody to anyone who is looking to have any work done. Great prices, work, and amazing customer service. more
