Every time I shop here I get in so much trouble because I like every single thing I see!!!! What a great selection of gifts, journals, albums, frames, stationery...this is the only place I go to get them. It's not cheap, but they have the best things. The staff is very nice and helpfull and they wrap you gifts at no cost. This is my best find of the year, I have receive complements for every gift I've bought here. It's the cutest little shop! I went to Details last winter looking for invitations for my July 16, 2006 wedding. I wanted to place a very sizable order (needed 250 invitation sets, 300 engraved monogrammed thank you notes for myself and 100 engraved correspondence cards for my now husband). I originally wanted a very expensive Anna Griffin invitation, which would have cost in the range of $2,000. I went to Details, for wedding programs, after a bad experience with another invitation place in town. I went in and felt weird that i didn't get my invitations from them, but the salespeople were still helpful and made we feel comfortable anyways. I didn't realize that i also needed menus, and table seating but they helped me out and explained a lot to me. I wish I had received this kind of serviceat the other place when I picked out my invitations. I read the reviews on this site when I wasn't sure where to go and I 'm glad i found Details. I heard they were expensive but the truth is they are worth every penny, they triple check everything and make sure you are happy with what you order. So, i looked everywhere for my invitations, all of Philly and even NYC. I went to Details and found that they not only had the largest selection of invitatons, but the sales people were helpful and knew what they were doing. After spending some time to pick the perfect invitation, the people who worked there, helped me with the wording, and direction cards and also contracted a hand calligrapher to address my wedding invitations. They helped me up until the last minute with all of the ""details"" of my wedding, and also were nice enough to work with my florist on place cards and menus. i highly recommend Brides check details out, there prices are like evryone else, but the staff is great. This store has the worst customer service. Once they have your credit card number they never return phone calls. They are rude on the phone and at the register. They charge two dollars an envelope for lopsided printing. They add in charges that were never mentioned and charge you without approval or signature. When anything is questioned they are hostile (this is the owner herself I'm speaking of). This is one snotty shop and they have no reason to think they are above their customers. Details is the best browse in town for paper & stationery fanatics like me. If you're looking for bargains, go elsewhere. If you're looking for gorgeous stationery, Christmas cards, invites--anything paper--they have exquisite stuff. Some of the employees are quite accommodating and some aren't. I've had both experiences at the store. But I continue to go there because their wares are always interesting and beautiful. I searched high and low for the perfect wedding invitation...i even did some research online. But all my questions were answered when i stepped into Details. Not only did they have the largest selection that I've seen (believe me I searched all of Philly and NYC too!) but the people who worked there knew everything there is to know about invitations. I found the most perfect invitations, beautiful, yet different, and still classic looking, and the girls at Details helped me with entire process. They guided me from A to Z and the quality of work and product they have is unbelievable. I knew they would never let anything less than perfect leave their hands. they not only helped me order, but also stuffed the invitations and mailed them for me, that is after they had the envelopes addressed by a professional calligrapher. I purchased my Save the Date cards, personalized napkins and matches, and wedding invitations from Details and had the best experience there. This place looks so great from the outside, but as soon as you get in, they treat you like you're burdening them! I talked to them about wedding invitations, which they said would have no up front cost implications. Then, they wanted to charge me for every correspondence we had! All I wanted was to look for my wedding invitations. You would have thought I was asking them (the staff) to hand craft my invitations out of their pants and have them ready by the close of business by the way I was looked at and treated.
