I recently used Designer Limo for a group trip. A group of about 25-30 of my friends and I wanted to go back to our college for our alumni/homecoming football game. We rented one their your buses for a whole day. more

I rented a limo once for an event and the big party bus for my birthday. Both experiences were awesome. The vehicles were clean, drivers were very nice. The party bus was a great idea. Must have had 16 adults on the bus very comfortably. Thanks more

I rented a double decker party bus for my 40th B day to take 54 people from Long beach Long Island to Atlantic city in April. With convention ovens( to heat up food) for 10 hours. The trip to AC should of taken us 3 1/2 hours . We left Long beach at 6 pm and we did not get to AC until 12am. Approximately 15 min into our trip the bus had to stop because the air conditioning stopped working. Then the ovens was interfered with the air conditions. So we had to stop the heating of the food. Unfortunately, the bus continued to have problems throughtout the trip. The driver advised me the bus had mechanical issues and the driver was forced to drive at dramatically reduced speeds of 15 to 25 miles per hours for the entire trip to AC. When we got to AC the driver told me he is going to go and get the Bus fix. The trip back home was even worse than the trip to AC. Every hour, the driver was forced to pull over to the side of the road for 20 minutes and we were forced to sit in darkness while the batteries were recharged. We did not arrive back in LB until 8:30 am. We should of been back at 4 am The driver had been driving for 14 hours. I went to the company that morning requesting a refund of only half my cost of the rental. I was trying to be fair as I do recognize the company had to pay for gasoline and drivers salaries but the company needs to compensate me for the failure to adequatly provide the service. The company refused and all they offered as compensation was a free limo ride. THis is completely inadequate given the several thousand dollars that I spent to rent the limo. I file a complain with the BBB and he did not response to the complain. He has a F rating on THE Better Business Bureau. SO I had to take him to small claim court. more

This spring (2010) my son booked a double decker bus for a trip into the city after a prom...the bus was loaded with lights, 'state of the art sound systems' on both floors, bathrooms, air conditioning, the works! They took a $1000 cash deposit, and then $3,800.00 cash for the balance- which included a large tip..HERE'S WHAT YOU GET FOR $4,800.00 FROM DESIGNER LIMO: -THE BUS BROKE DOWN AT LEAST 9 TIMES ON THE PARKWAYS from LI into NYC -NO REPLACEMENT BUS WAS EVER SENT, -THE MUSIC DID NOT WORK ON THE TOP FLOOR, -THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE US $500.00 to clean the bus-- THERE WAS NOTHING BROKEN ON THE BUS! When we went to their office to speak with them about charging us when there were UNACCEPTABLE problems with the bus all night and that they had no right to charge US, we were told that THE OWNER HAD TO SPEAK WITH US. WELL, THE OWNER NEVER CALLED BACK, AND HAS NOT CALLED EVERY TIME WE'VE CALLED TO SPEAK TO HIM. HOW CAN ANYONE RUN A BUSINESS THIS WAY? THEY TOOK $4800.00 CASH AND THEN BOOKED OUT AN UNSAFE BUS WITH 18 YEAR OLDS IN IT, ALONG WITH THE EXTRAS THAT DID NOT WORK! I AM FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, AND I URGE EVERYONE WITH SIMILAR EXPERIENCES TO DO THE SAME. THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS! THIS IS NOT OVER! more

Do NOT use Designer Limo, They were horrible to us from the beginning to end. First they promised us A/C in our Rolls Royce only not to have ony on our 85 degree wedding day.. They told us after a fuse was blown. DONT YOU INSPECT THE CARS BEFORE USING THEM!!! We had to ride with the windows down cause my makeup was sweating off me, then the wind was destroying my hair and the window was broken so it wouldnt go up. Then we were promised bar sevice in the limo for our bridal party and there were no beverages in the limo until after the church when the limo guy snuck out on our PAID TIME to go and get drinks for our bridal party... It was a 18 passenger limo and they got enough drinks for about 10 people... ALso we were 15 mins late at the end because the limo driver took the wrong routes and made a 2 min drive into a 10 min drive... So they charged us $400 for 15 minutes that could've been avoided!! We tried to talk to the company about our problems and they elft us in the dust, wouldn't call us back and charged our card without notifying us!! THey wouldnt even make an agreement with us over our other problems we had with the limos...They tried to threaten us with more charges if we didnt pay...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE Cons: Read below... more

I just used Designer for a guy's night out. One of my buddies just came back from serving in Iraq, and we wanted to give a Marine a proper welcome home. There were cheaper companies that I called, but I really liked dealing with the people on the phone at Designer The girl on the phone was nice enough to indulge me for probably 20 mins on that first call lol and walked me through the website so I could see the different cars she was talking about. I ended up bookin the 35 passenger, we went down to AC, and it was a hell of a time. Our driver Leon had a great attitude, and he didn't mind pulling over for all the smokers in our group. I was referred to Designer Limousines by my cousin who had previously used their service for his wedding, i was looking to book an 8 passenger vehicle to celebrate my fiance's birthday this past June, not only was their staff polite and tremendously welcoming over the phone, but when i had stopped in their office to take a look at some vehicles they treated my fiance and I as if we were apart of the family. I have a corporate account with Designer and use them on a weekly basis for about 8 mths now and I have always had a pleasant experience with them. They are always perfectly on time and every driver I have had always has a smile to greet me with. The cars are always sparkling clean inside and out. Obviously the key word here is ALWAYS. No matter if they take me to the airport or to a business dinner or home from a long day at work, I always look forward to the comfort this company gives me that I will have a great ride. Talk about riding in style! I used Designer limos for my bachelorette party and it was absolutely awesome!!! We went for dinner in their gorgeous stretch Escalade then for a night out in NYC and had the greatest time. Our driver was compliant and patient with all our pit-stops and bar-hopping and was more than willing to take us wherever we asked him to (you have to be patient with 18 girls at a bachelorette party). I am completely confident that they will exceed my expectations for my wedding next month. Thank you Designer!!!! Pros: Amazing cars, good prices. The car arrived 15 minutes early. It was clean, in great shape and with a stocked bar! The driver was well dressed, had our itinerary mapped out and was ready to go. This was a night out in Manhatten with several stops. We made all of our stops on time. Upon leaving the stops the driver was ready and waiting. The driver even cleaned up the limo between stops! Everything worked in the limo (seems odd to mention but I have had bad experiences in the past). I would highly recommend this company. more

This company is absolutely as good as it gets. The pleasantness began when I walked in the office when I spoke to a sweet young lady, Jackie, and continued throughout my special day. My drivers were professional and beyond helpful to me and my now husband on our wedding day. They arrived 20 minutes earlier than scheduled with huge smiles and helping hands. The limo was immaculate inside and out for the bridal party and the Bentley that I was in was a dream come true since we were upgraded from an antique ( at no extra cost to us I might add ) All in all, it was a wonderful day and Designer Limousines did an excellent job. Retired and moved to FL. over three years ago, we had planned a trip to Queens to see my daughter, son in law and grandchildren for their 9 year anniversary. Searched sites like this high and low for transportation from the airport since we were not pleased with the company who my daughter contracted for her wedding. Had no where to turn to. Most of the companies had mixed ratings and did not know what to do. After mentioning to a friend that we were visiting N.Y. she recommended this company which she used and was pleased. She had a friend of a friend who worked there. I realized that I had heard of them on this site and they had mixed reviews so I gave them a call on my friends recommendation. To my suprise we were greated at the airport by a pleasant gentleman named Mark who wisked us away in a beautiful white brand new limo with beverages included! I was the maid of honor for my friends wedding. Designer Limousines was contract to provide the transporation. The Groom had contract for the Phantom, two escalades, and shuttle service for 100 guest. They also provided shuttle transportation at the end of the reception. They where on time, curtious, and went above what we had expected from a limo company. I have been in several weddings where the limo services where disastrous, cars smelled, old, and had exterior damage. All of the cars and buses from designer where all new. I wanted to say That Designer Limousines went way out of their way when they showed up on our wedding day. The weather was horrible and I knew my fiance would be upset. The Bentley rolled up, a surprise free upgrade, and D the chauffeur greeted my fiance and her dad with a smile and very large umbrella. Not a drop of rain fell on her dress. The rest of the day went sooooo smoothly. I must say that Designer Limousines really puts together a great group of guys to drive, and they really know what they are doing. I am glad I spent the time to go and see them. It was a great overall pleasure. They even took us to the airport and picked us up after our honeymoon, and didnt charge us for the car. I used Designer Limousines for my daughters sweet sixteen in October, not only was the chauffeur T. on time, the car was extremely clean on the inside and out and there was no cracks or damage done to the vehicle. My wedding was this past March and I used Designer Limos because my sister-in-law reccommended them to me. When I went to the office with my fiance they were so helpful and friendly. We really wanted the Mercedes but we couldn't afford it. The owner Kenny was a total sweetheart and ended up letting us upgrade for free, we just had to pay the driver. I was sooo happy because my pictures turned out beautifully! Plus they gave us a complimentary ride to the airport for our honeymoon bc we booked two cars with them. I am definitely going to use them again. Top notch service! more

After reading some of the reviews on citi search I hesitant to lease a limo from Designer Limousines. However, I very close friend told me that the reviews are inaccurate. Needless to say I went ahead and rented an 8 passenger limo from designer. It was one of the best experiences with a limo company that I ever had. We where treated like VIP's. The car was new and clean. The driver was very courteous and dress properly. He arrived 15 minutes before the schedule time and new exactly were we where going. If I had to recommend a limo company, designer limousines would be the one. Pros: VIP services more

I used their service for my bachlorette party, and I had a great time !!!!!! The driver Steve was really courteous and he even got their 15 minutes early. I've had bad experiences in the past with other companies, but Designer was nothing but a pleasure. Me & my girls took out the Hummer, and it was such a hot car! The staff at their office greeted me before I walked through the door. I saw all of their brand new cars, clean, spotless, no damage. They explained all of their fees up front. The day of my wedding, they were fantastic. I got married in July, and it was very hot out. We were delayed while we were taking our pictures. My photographer was being a pain. I wasn't too happy with the overtime charges, but I knew about them when I signed my contract. I took a chance, and I lost! My overtime dug deep into my pocket, but they worked with me on it. I only paid a portiong in cash, and I needed to clear up the rest on credit. But their guys made me laugh about the whole thing. I would definitely recommend Designer to all of my friends.
