Design Tree Maintenance did an outstanding job on my 4 trees: 2 ficus and 2 brazilian peppers. They provided me with a very competitive bid. I spoke with 3 other Arborist and Design Tree won our business due to the professionalism and competence of their Arborist Ben. The crew of Clay, Hector, Chris, Rodrigo and Stephen exceeded my expectations with their work. They were prompt and efficient. They did an outstanding job. My yard was immaculate when when they left. Very inconsiderate, unthoughtful, and dishonest people are working in this company. I could not back out of my driveway for at least 10 mins because their people who were working on my neighbors yard, parked their truck and wood chipper all the way up and blocked my entire driveway in order not to block their paying customer?s driveway. I honked and honked and while waiting, called the company?s phone number on the truck. A female representative claimed their truck broke down and unfortunately, right in front of my house. And it?s been there for a while now because they had to work on my neighbors yard earlier. First, I had not given her the address and if the truck was there for a while, why haven?t any tow or repair company show up?? As I was on the phone, 3 of their employees showed up, dragging their feet and DID NOT even apologize and started the truck WITHOUT a problem and drove 50 feet to the open curbside of my cul-de-sac!! They went back to work on my neighbor?s yard. I realized the rep was giving excuses and chastised her for lying and she hung up on me.. I called back again and demanded to speak to their supervisor. They put me on hold for a long time and eventually young sounding man answered and apologized and said there is nothing they can do. Well, there is?.if your truck is honestly broken down and is in the way of others, have the courtesy to have your worker inform the household and explain assistance will arrive shortly. The so-claimed supervisor over the phone, laughed and said perhaps?.I do not care is there is any discount coupon available from this company. I will never pay a dime for services of a company who operates with such inconsideration and dishonesty! more

We contracted with Design Tree Maintenance to accomplish extensive replacement of plants and bushes, installation of a fountain and replacement of a twenty five year old drip system. The process began with, Mr. Ben McGonigle a certified arborist, with a clearly written and precise outline of all the work to be accomplished. The process continued with the owner, Mr. Robert Kett, a certified arborist, with his continual daily hands on supervision of the crew performing the work. The professionalism exhibited by all, including keeping the area neat and orderly during the entire operation, was to say the least amazing. The work was completed on time and within our budget and exceeded our expectations. I have given Design Tree Maintenance permission to allow any perspective customer to contact us. more

I want to commend your crew that came on Friday to remove the large mesquite tree from my back yard and to plant a new tree. It was not four men who came, but a team that worked well together, they were efficient and knew their job. From the time they arrived, 9:00 am until 11:00 am when they had completed planting the new tree they did a careful and good job. Nick came out to my property to look at a old pine tree that was dying. For a very reasonable price recommended treatment, and trimmed the tree for me. Now 6 months later you wouldnt even recognize the tree, as it looks better than I have ever seen it look before. I have already recommended Nick to several of my friends - GREAT JOB GUYS!! My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the service we received from DTM. The estimator arrived on schedule, checked out everything we needed, gave us a great price and set up our appointment. \r We had two 20ft queen palms that were growing in a space about 4 ft wide between the side of our house and a block wall and they took them down without any issues whatsoever. We also had two more queen palms trimmed out font.\r The crew showed up on time, worked quickly and cleaned up everything. A very clean cut, knowledgeable estimator came out to provide a very fair estimate. We gave the go ahead, the crew came out as scheduled and trimmed the tree in the f/y & a cleanup in the front & back yard. I have had several bad experiences with tree companies in the past, and was extremely thrilled with the services from Design Tree. My trees have never looked this good. Had this company come out and trim 3 trees. They did a good job on the mesquite and palo verde. The ironwood however was completely butchered by removing well over 50% of the foliage. The crew took no precautions to protect any of the plants below the tree. All the plants where stomped on by falling branches or the workers themselves, wiping out years of growth.\r \r Paid for a borer treatment that never happened. Got a phone call saying they would do it the next day. I call the next day to confirm it will be done and another guy says it was done yesterday.\r \r Never using this company again.\r Pros: Cheap Cons: Day laborers are cheaper and more careful more

It was a huge pain to get any of the services I wanted. I had to schedule each service individually and only one service was performed without hassle. I had to call the office each time and remind them that I was waiting on them.\r \r Don't use this company. Cons: Horrible customer service more

This company has the worst customer service and business practices! After taking 1K of my money and completing absolutely NO WORK, I still have no answers and now get put on hold indefinitely every time I call. These people should be ashamed of themselves. This company has at least 16 Better Biz complaints in the last 36 months several of which are unresolved and even unaddressed by the company.\r In case you miss that fact like I did, BEWARE! They damaged my roof, destroyed a 30 year old mesquite tree and they refuse to take responsibility for any negligence on their part! And they will so rudely do the same to you given the chance.\r There is a reason they are cheaper!!!\r You get what you pay for!\r Consumer BEWARE!!!
