Design for the Times/D4X builders was hired on 1/11/14 to construct and upstairs addition on my cape cod style home. The total cost for labor and materials was not to exceed 40,000.Design for the Times/D4X builders started work on 2/10/14 and was paid 12,000 for purpose of scheduling inspection appointments,ordering all material,reviewing,and representing and was also paid 4,000.00 upon signing retainer at time of acceptance.The payments per week was 3,000 a week until reaching 3/28/14 in which the last 3,000.00 check would be withheld until completion of job. The time frame in contract was not to exceed 8 weeks.6 weeks and 31,000 paid to Joseph Del Villar of Design for the Times/D4X builders and they did not even have a completed frame for addition.This company has left me without a roof,floor,electric in addition as well as existing home,no insulation,no rooms completed,caused extensive damage to my existing home,built structure and electric not up to code as well as damaged my existing structure and electric,no siding,no windows,caused extensive water damage to my home on two occasions due to an insufficient covering of roof they had torn off,damaged exterior and interior of home-never fixed per addendum contract,thousands of dollars spent in oil/electric bills due to incomplete job,performed no clean up ever since started,took down lights in home due to workers damaging existing sheetrock in every single room in the entire home,has left us with no lights/outlets in several rooms,Design for the Times / D4X builders has walked off the job and failed to return any of my phone calls with all of the above items not resolved. Joseph Del Villar has refused to refund any of my 31,000 I have paid him to complete a 40,000 addition leaving my family to reside in an unsafe,unfinished and has left my home in UN-livable condition.Mr. Del Villar has not used money given to purchase material and claimed he used all nor is material onsite. Beware of Joseph Del Villar takes your money then walks and does not complete the job.
