Dental Salon

I'm new to the city so I was nervous about finding a new dentist. I'd put off going for too long, so when I realized that the Dental Salon was in the same building as my gym I thought I would give it a try. At least I knew that it was in a safe and convient location. \r \r I was blown away by my actual experience and am SO glad I made an appointment - I definitely will be a regular at the Dental Salon now! The office is modern but still welcoming and the dentists and assistants are all friendly and knowledgeable. There were no confusing forms to fill out before my appointment and staff had figured out all my insurance ahead of time so I was in and out with basically no wait. A friend referred me to the Dental Salon and I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. The staff is very nice and the space is great with convenient parking & validation. Since I often work late, I love the fact that they have late hours during the week and are open on weekends. There is rarely a wait and it is easy to schedule and reschedule appointments. I have recommended this dentist office to many of my friends and would highly recommend it to you! more

I'm a spa girl and love the spa experience. I never thought I'd feel like I was in a spa at my twice-monthly dental appointments - but now I do. This new dental office has done an exceptional job combining what we like the best about the best spas (great atmosphere, excellent service, supportive and friendly staff making sure the experience is excellent) and combining it the traditional dental office to create something new. The interior is relaxing with cool curving walls and big treatment areas with huge windows. The chairs face the windows for great views - both in daylight and dark. The use of state of the art technology make the treatments shorter and the whole process easier - even using email for appointments and for paperwork - very efficient. Not only are the dentists and staff very efficient and friendly but clearly experienced as well. I'm thrilled to have found a better way to go to the dentist! I visited the Dental Salon after viewing their ad on TV, and there is definately truth in advertising. I went to the Dental Salon in hopes of finding a professional, friendly & technically updated office. The Dental Salon more than met my expectations! From my first visit, I could tell this was going to be a different experience. The staff took the time to get to know me and my concerns. Both of the dentists I've seen so far have been excellent. The hours are great & the validated parking is a plus! I would recommend this office to anyone seeking a higher quality of dental care! more

This was by far the best dentist I have been to in the city. I had a major toothache and they took me on very short notice. They are open in the evenings, so that is a plus. Everything was painless! The staff is friendly, the doctor that I saw was very calm and pleasant. The place seems to be very well taken care of and everyone from the receptionist the dental assistants want you to be as comfortable as possible. The chair that I was in was the most comfortable dental chair I have ever been in and you have a nice view of the city while you are getting worked on. I've never been to a dentist where they offer you something to drink while you wait! If you have a cavity and dread going to the dentist...I would highly recommend this place. Fortunately, I've been blessed with pretty decent teeth. I haven't really required any major dental work (besides braces as a teen), so I just needed to find a dentist for cleanings and exams. I don't have dental insurance, so it was important to find a dental care provider that would work with my budget but also provide high quality service. The Dental Salon has been a great place for my preventative care. It is always easy to get an appointment, and the office is open on Saturday, which is necessary due to my long working hours. I found out about the Dental Salon from an ad I saw on tv. I decided to go there since I didn't have a dentist in Chicago (just moved here a little over 2 years ago). Since then I have gone to the Dental Salon for cleanings, as well as some major work I needed done when my old bridgework came loose. I was very happy with the results of the new bridge as they made it look a lot more natural than my old one. They were also very accomodating with payment, allowing me to make monthly payments in order to get the emergency repair that I needed. The atmosphere in the office is modern and relaxing, and they have the latest technology in cosmetic and whitening treatments. Everyone is always friendly and helpful, especially Annie and Ann at the front desk. I definitely recommend the Dental Salon. Not only is the office beautiful and comfortable, everyone who works there is friendly and does a great job. Their chairs are made of that memory foam, so it's actually a treat to sit in them! Plus, most rooms give you a pretty view of the city (the office is on the 8th floor) -- which is a nice distraction when you're having any work done. After your first exam, they show you high-quality pictures of your teeth and explain whatever it is they want to do. I've gone for years now, and every dentist and assistant is very kind and sensitive to my concerns and feelings. After visiting a series of bad dentists (teeth not really clean, dirty office, rude or lacking service), I'm so glad I found a place I'm happy with. I have recommended them to everyone I know. I had not been to the dentist in over 5 years when I was referred to Dr. Mark Morris. I was nervous going in, and I only allowed them to do xrays on my first visit. I then met with Dr. Mark and we discussed my diagnosis. I explained my anxiety, and he was receptive to my request for sedation. He arranged for an anesthelogist to come to the office on my visit, and I didn't feel a thing. He was also very understanding and painfree on my follow-up appointment as well. Even though I continue to have dental anxiety, I'm happy that Dr. Morris is my dentist- I know he'll understand when I go back for my check-up in 6 months. Highly recommended! From the first time that I called the Dental Salon I knew this was going to be a good experience. The receptionist was great and took her time with me on the phone. I was able to get an appointment on the date that I desired and once I arrived, there was no wait time. The office is new and sleek and sterile. It doesn't have that typical ""dental office smell"" which can create anxiety the minute one walks in the door. I was greeted by such a friendly and relaxed staff and it made the world of difference. My appointment went well and even though I need a bunch of work (I was aware of this going in to my appointment) I can honestly say that I look forward to my next visit at the Dental Salon. It wasn't a GOOD experience, it was a GREAT experience! They might consider changing the name to the "" Dental Spa"" instead of The Dental Salon! :o) I was seen by Dr. Lipoff and Ben was assisting. They were awesome! I did have the pleasure of meeting some of the other staff members and I am certain that they would provide the same level of service. The office was attractive to the eye. Modern in technology. My visit was fine until getting xrays taken. From then on it was down hill. I felt I was being read from a script about how bad a state my teeth where in. I got the sales pitch and he kept putting it back on me when I questioned him saying ?It?s not my smile ? or ?It?s not my teeth?. He stated that I had ?good insurance? and not to worry. I went to 2 other Dentists and they both stated that the area he diagnosised was completely healthly and problem free. Cons: Ethics more

I usually dread going to the dentist, however my first visit to the Dental Salon entirely changed my views. The staff is courteous, as you are pleasantly greeted upon arriving at the salon. They are also very efficient and it seems that I never have to wait long for anything. Whether it's an explanation regarding my insurance or trying to accomodate my visits into my busy work schedule, the staff is extremely helpful. My dentist, Dr. Jason Lipoff is the greatest! He is very knowlegeable and you can tell that he loves what he does. He takes the time to ensure that you are comfortable and that you understand that the prevention of dental disease is important. Dr. Lipoff is more than just a dentist, he is an educator. And above all, he makes me laugh!! Pros: The knowledgeable staff Cons: Honestly, I can't think of any. The dental saloon is the second dentists office I have been to since moving to Chicago. At the first one I went to, things felt slightly chaotic and the doctor moved at a rush. At the dental saloon it is a different story. From the spa like decor to the friendly staff, the atmosphere is as pleasant as you could ask for. They used techniques I hadn't experience before, such as taking detailed digital photos which they sat down and reviewed with me to provide a new in depth understanding of my dental status and required work. The procedures they did perform they did as efficiently and quickly as possible without making me feel like they were rushing through anything. Overall a great experience. After moving to Chicago in my mid-twenties, I was in need of a new dentist. Up until this point I had only seen one dentist and after hearing many horror stories I wanted to ensure that I would again receive the top notch service I'd previously experienced. After doing some research, I decided on to try the Dental Salon, and I saw Dr. Liford for an exam, teeth cleaning and a week later she filled a couple of cavities. I couldn't have asked for a better dentist! Her service, professionalism and bedside manner is unsurpassed. I love my old dentist, but surprisingly, I'm glad that I've found a new one. more

I am the biggest baby ever when it comes to the Dentist and have yet to find a dentist I like until now. Dr. Morris was so gentle and literally made my fillings so easy. I experienced no pain and no anxiety. He was fast and effiecient. I have already recommended all my friends and family. Plus the office is so relaxing. As always my experience at the Dental Salon has been great. I'm in the home stretch of a year long invisalign treatment in which I've been to the dentist every 2-3 weeks for a year now for new trays, adjustments and cleanings. Sara my hygienist did an excellent job removing the invisalign buttons from my teeth which is something I absolutely hate and after this whole process if there were a Nobel Prize to be given in the world of dentistry I'm pretty sure it would go to Dr.Trupti Desai. The doctor I saw at Dental Salon literally calmed my anxiety like I've never experieneced before. I had a root canal and 5 fillings done. In the past I would have been extremely uneasy. Something about this doctor however made it so bearable.
