Dental Salon

This place was great!!!! Friendly, young and vibrant office. Great treetop view of the surrounding neighborhood from the dentist chair made it very relaxing. The dentist was very knowledgable and patient with me as I tend to talk too much and question everything. I found the price to be lower than anticipated. To top it all off they are close to a train stop and a lot of great stores for an quick afternoon shopping trip. I have been reccommending this place to all my friends. more

I was recently referred to Dental Salon by a friend after having many a horrific dentist experience over the past year (avoid Kimberly Smiles!). Ive been to Dental Salon three times in the last few months and every visit has been above and beyond my expectations. Dr. Gina Rotkovich is wonderful at keeping you informed and putting together a dental plan that works for your schedule. (i.e. getting four fillings done in one long appt vs. coming back for multiple visits) I was nothing short of amazed when, after my cleaning, she sat down with me and went over all of my ex-rays, showed me her treatment plan, and answered all of my questions even though it was late and I was the last appt of the evening. \r \r All of the assistants are wonderful as well, I had Jeremy working with Dr.Rotkovich on my last visit?he was extremely patient and helped to calm my drill anxiety! \r \r Dental Salon is outstanding by every measure, from scheduling apointments/hours, to staff, & even the amazing views of the city. I recently changed jobs and my last dentist wasn't covered by my new insurance. I'd been with him for 15 years and really was nervous about finding a new dentist who would be as good and be as up to date with new techniques and equipment. I'm glad I found Dr. Glun at Dental Spa. I was in and out of there in under an hour and the consultation after my cleaning was terrific. Pros: Great technique. Totally painless. Awesome view from the dentist's chair! more

Today was my first visit to Dental Salon and everything went really well. The office is very chic in design which gives you a pleasant feeling from the moment you step into the office. The entire staff is super friendly!! They take the time to go through questions or concerns that you may have. When your done the Dr. goes through your x-rays with you and gives you feedback on oral care. The front desk is quick and efficient with your checkout... they care about your time but they get you in and out without cutting corners. Bottom line, I am glad that I went with the reviews and canceled my previous appointment with another office. Dental Salon is fantastic!! I will be back for sure! After an awful experience at a Loop dentist's office, I visited the Dental Salon for a second opinion. Everyone at the Dental Salon was friendly and efficient-- they emailed me all my paperwork ahead of time and my appointment was right on time. And I loved the flat screen TVs in the appt rooms. My appointment with Dr. Kheiri who is super great and he assured me that I didn't have any of the dental issues the previous office said I had. I will definitely go back to the Dental Salon after such a positive experience. more

I had a great experience at the Dental Salon. I found that their staff was very friendly and relaxed, the atmosphere was clean and professional, and my cleaning was thorough and expedient. The dentist I met with commented that I still had my wisdom teeth, but unlike most dentists I have seen, did not attempt to recommend an expensive and invasive procedure to remove them. I also was appreciative of the fact that I was not lectured for not seeing a dentist in over a year. Overall my experience at the Dental Salon was very good and I would recommend their services to family and friends without a second thought. This is mt first review and my first time to the Dental Salon. I am a student who just moved to the city and needed just a general cleaning. I searched the internet for places in my area and everyone wanted to charge me a new client fee ($80) and then about $100 for clean not including x-rays. I thought this was absurd. I found Dental Salon and it was perfect. No new client fees. Our student health insurance does not cover dental but Dental Salon was incredibly reasonable. Their office was in a very easy location to get to. It was new and inviting and spotless. I did not wait to get an appointment and I did not wait when I got there. My Dr was friendly and very knowledgable. Cheap, clean. friendly, and very good at what they do. more

I chose this place based on the rave reviews. Maybe I am more picky than I thought, but I wasn't all that impressed. \r \r Pros: Nice spa-like office, beautiful views from the dentist chair, friendly staff, punctual, quick. No one here is going to lecture you for letting your teeth go for so long. Whew! It's a feel good kind of place.\r \r Cons: This place bases itself in a beautiful setting and focuses on beautiful teeth. I received no education/information on dental maintenance. For instance, I have receding gum lines and wear a bite guard for my TMJ, but neither the gum lines or worn down teeth were mentioned during my visit. The dental tech was very quick to tell me about their teeth whitening packages though while she polished my teeth and, therefore, was unable to ask any questions. \r \r Also, I had not been to a dentist for about a year and a half, and they recommended I undergo a deep cleaning. In previous years, if I'd let a couple appointments go by, the cleaning would be a little more uncomfortable, but I'd never been told I needed a ""deep cleaning."" I have to wonder if it was just so they could charge more. \r \r I will probably seek out another dentist, one who is more concerned about my overall oral health and has time to answer questions. I admit that I was initially drawn to the Dental Salon for superficial reasons. They have some very glitzy advertising. However, having been a customer now for almost two years, what keeps me coming back is the outstanding service. It starts from the moment I walk in the door -- I'm never kept waiting. The dentists, hygienists and staff are capable, friendly, and very conscious of my sensitivity to discomfort. I always am made to feel at ease, and I haven't had a single painful experience -- very noteworthy, especially for folks who are squeamish about visiting the dentist. This is hands down one of the best dental offices I've ever been too. The atmosphere is relaxing and puts you at ease right away, even if you are one of those type of people who get very nervous going to the dentist. The staff is professional and friendly, and answers any and all questions you may have. They do their job fast and comfortably, whether you are just getting a cleaning or have to have more serious work done, and they talk to the entire time so you know exactly what is going on. If you're looking for a dentist office that stands above the rest, your search is over. Compared to my 2 previous Chicago dentist experiences, this place excelled in all categories. Appointments run on-time, staff are professional and courteous, and the atmosphere is relaxing. Patient rooms have city views you can enjoy during your entire cleaning. The hours are convenient with night and weekend appointments available. Insurance coverage is complete, at least for routine maintenance. more

I chose the Dental Salon because of the extensive reviews that were posted on citysearch. I previously went to a phenominal dentist before moving to Chicago and was weary that I would not find another dentist near as good as he. Dr. Gina Liford made me feel comfortable and confident I made the right choice. After the initial x-rays she noticed the crown I have that resulted from a trampoline incident over 10 years ago. She was impressed with his work which made me more confident she knew what she was doing. There is nothing worse than a bad dentist. The office is clean, professional, and the dental chairs are extremely comfortable. I highly recommed visiting the Dental Salon for any of your dental needs. I hadn't gone to the dentist in 5 years and boy, did Dental Salon whip me in shape. The dentists are all top notch, highly skilled, well educated, polite, and friendly. The girls at the desk and the dental assistants do such a good job of getting you in and out, while at the same time being so warm and welcoming. There are so many good magazines to pick from while you wait. The view is amazing from the dental chair. They have all the modern dental technolog you could want. The prices are very competitive. Located in an awesome neighborhood, parking is validated. Come on, how much better could it get? I don't have insurance so the prices are much appreciated, and I like to be treated well as a customer. The decor is cool in the office too. Keep it up. I've been going to the Dental Salon for a year, and I couldn't be happier. The location is great and easy to find (right off the North/Clybourn Red line stop) and in a very nice building. From the minute you walk in, you can tell how professional and courteous the staff is. I've seen three of the dentists in the practice and all were extremely nice. I haven't had any major dental work (just routine cleanings), but they have always been very good.\r \r About six months ago, I got a device to fit over my front teeth to help with my TMJ. I've been to oral surgeons, orthodontists, and other dentists about my TMJ, and no solution (physical therapy, mouth guards) have helped like the device I got from the Dental Salon! I did extensive research into choosing which dentist office I was going to utilize. I needed to have some some chipped teeth repaired with a permanent solution. After looking at several choices, I went with the Dental Salon. Dr. Grayson and the staff are excellent at what they do and are very friendly. The attention to detail was exactly what I was looking for. My teeth ended up looking even better than I thought they could! \r \r You spend minimal time waiting to be seen, and parking is very convenient. The office itself is set up similar to a spa design, and they have very comfortable procedure chairs to make you as at ease as possible. \r \r I very highly recommend them for not only cosmetic dentistry, but general dental care as well. more

The Dental Salon has great hours, a friendly staff, and a nice, quiet waiting room (no kids!). The view from the room while getting work done is great. Everything seems very state of the art and the staff is very efficient.\r \r While spending a Saturday morning is not exactly my idea of fun, I was in and out on my visit and was able to get on with my day. I was extremely apprehensive about going to a dentist after about 4 years of laziness, but Dr. Lipoff and the whole Dental Salon staff made the experience easy and enjoyable. I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the entire staff and also by the beautiful, clean and modern office. Dr. Lipoff himself gave me a deep cleaning and filled a few tiny cavities, all of which was swift and pretty painless. We discussed all aspects of my dental health including my desire to do some whitening and I was very pleased with the knowledge and respect shown to me. \r \r In addition, the office operated very well. Making appointments and payments was no problem, and all of the residual costs (after insurance) were made 100% clear to me up front. I would highly recommend both Dr. Lipoff and the Dental Salon. I HATE THE DENTIST. I have had dentists who practiced without a license, slapped me across the face for complaining about pain, lied about costs, hurt me repeatedly, tried to sell me stuff I didn't want or need, and molested children. (That last is no lie). Needless to say, it takes a lot to get me to the dentist, a lot of pain that is. I usually don't go for regular cleanings, only showing up when a cavity or wisdom tooth is bothering me too much for Advil to take care of. This year I promised myself to care more about dental health and actually use the dental benefit I've been paying for all these years, and went for a cleaning at the Dental Salon. I had four cavities. I was not surprised, it has been years since my last cleaning, but I was dreading the follow-up appointment. I had nightmares, heard the sound of the drill in my sleep, and almost didn't make the appointment. My Dentist worked fast, kept the mood light, and didn't even give me any Novocaine. He said the shot would freak me out worse than the drilling (he was right). I was done in 15 minutes and out the door. Fast, friendly, and efficient. Kudos to the Dental Salon, their Dentists, Dental Assistants, and office staff. All were professional, courteous, and took my fears and apprehensions seriously. If you like the Dentist - you'll love them, if you don't like the Dentist - give these folks a try, you won't be sorry. After having bad childhood and adult dental experiences, I was so relieved by Dr. Morris's kind care that I knew I had finally found a dentist I could trust. Now, Dr. Morris has been my dentist for three years. The office setting is lovely and peaceful. The staff is kind and patient. The doctors (Drs. Morris and Liford) are attentive and knowledgeable, and do everything to make sure your visit is smooth and comfortable.
