Great Expressions Dental Centers - Valrico

I'd like to know the name of the endodontist that John S. is referring to in the May 13th posting. My daughter is in need of a root canal and our insurance is forcing us - yes, FORCING US - to use this clinic. I am very hesitant after reading these negative comments. We have a consultation this morning and I will be observing the other issues mentioned... cleanliness / dirtiness of the facility, professionalism of the staff & office management and particularily the Dr's behavior. more

On May 28th 2009, I went there to to have a bridge re-cemented in place. They NEVER discussed or mentioned that there was NO guarantee how long the repair would last. They billed my insurance company and I paid a $55.00 co-pay. Less than 18 HOURS later, the repair failed and the bridge came out in a salad I was eating (no croutons). I contacted them the next day (Friday) and they scheduled me for a repair today (6/5/2009). The sat me down without any protective bib in place and made a mess of my shirt and I had water and dental matter all over my face and neck. Only after I mentioned it to them did they offer me a napkin type bib. When the repair was completed, I was BILLED AGAIN $35.00 more!!!A discussion with the office manager Dawn, netted ZERO.I have filed a formal complain with the Better Business Bureau as well as formally have disputed the 2 VISA charges with my VISA company. They may have the resources to actually lie their way out of everything, but I am sick and tired of thes more

The endodontist at Dental Health Group performed a root canal on the same tooth twice without correcting the issue. After visiting another endodontic group with proper dental equipment, my root canal was completed at additional costs. I was in contact with DHG office staff and a district manager for over 4 months with numerous broken promises on returning my phone call. In attempting to recoup some of the $2700 I've spent on one tooth, DHG offered me $300 claiming they successfully performed two-thirds of a $1000 procedure. An absolutely horrible experience, from the dirty examination rooms to the lack of advanced equipment to the unprofessional district manager. Worst customer service ever....no concern for patient satisfaction. Nightmare when it came to billing. Staff unprofessional and untrained. Unable to handle multiple carrier claims and slow on refunding patient refunds. Office space is dated and felt dirty. Would not return no matter what. Charges patients for Xrays and chart notes to switch doctors as well. more

This is probably the dirtiest office ever, the parking is taken by all the rude people working there, the dentist spends his time pacing back and forth as if he has nothing to do. The prices quoted in writing are extremely high and payable prior to your appointment only to try and collect more later, I realize the staff changes every time the wind blows so no one knows what their doing, but this is the most unprofessional dental office ever. save yourself some grief , go somewhere else ! more

My family and I have been going to this clinic for the past 15 years. It used to be honest, straight forward dental work, price quotes you could depend on and fast service. It has not degenerated to CORPORATE GREED. Poor service, hidden prices, switched appointments, and "how much do your have in your purse" type attitude. This place is an embarrassment to American dentistry, but the shell game is alive and well 2000 years later. Give them a call and ask them what's going on (813-681-4874).\r P.S. I went in October, 2007 with a cracked tooth. I learned the fine art of "bait & switch" from the DENTAL HEALTH GROUP in Valrico (1620 E. Hwy 60, - 681-4874).\r They were going to pull the tooth, and do a crown for $875. It's now January 3, 2008, and 6 appointments later - they got $950 from me - all they've done is extract the tooth. I now have a choice of 2 crowns and a bridge or 3 crowns, but they can't estimate the price. The office manager wouldn't give me her name - no names tags on any personnel. Front desk staff is unfriendly and not helpful. Difficult to reach on the phone. Building is filthy. Parking area is terrible. Twice they've quoted incorrect copays (in writing) and tried to collect extra at the time of the appointment for the quoted service. more
