Great Service 11/14/2010

The company that I previously worked for gave us gift card for Del Frisco's, we had not eaten there before. This last Saturday My wife and myself had the opportunity, We now have a new favorite steakhouse. The food was great, with large portions, and the service was tremendous. Our waitress (Ashlie) made us feel so at home to sit and enjoy our time and dinner. Thank You so much and you will see us again. more

Problem w/the management 11/26/2009

I am a Del Frisco's coin holder. I am not sure if any of you know what that is but it is something that frequent diners get invited to. Each location has their own coin w/their name on it. When you bring one of the other coins to the location the new location is supposed to provide you with one. When you have gotten the whole set you take them to Dallas and get a special coin from the former owner. They are all one ounce pure silver. I had not been to the Denver location since I got my first coin. On a business trip I called the location beforehand to assure that they had a coin available when I dined there. When I arrived at the location and was seated and served ONLy after I dined was I told that they had no coins but that perhaps in the future I would be sent one. Six months later and many phone calls and still no coin. Pros: Great Food Cons: Bad Management Position more

Best Steakhouse I've Ever Been To 11/16/2008

I've been dining at Del Friscos every week for at least one time per week for about a year now. I've been to many steakhouses around the country in my day and without a doubt Del Friscos is the best! Many things set them apart from others. Their filet mignon is phenomenal! It literally melts in your mouth. At least it seems like it does it is that good! They bring it out to you on an extremely hot plate that is sizzling and keeps the steak warm and the juices inside the meat. The serve the side items for you when they bring the food to the table, definately a class act. That's what really sets them apart. The Service. No restaurant touches them here. I've been to Cherry Creek restaurants and they are too stuck up for the most part that they do not care about the customer. Not Del Friscos. From the hostesses all the way up to the management you are treated like Gold at their restaurant. This is why I continue to come back every week and sometimes 2-3 times a week. A complete team effort with the best steaks money can buy. If you want a great steak and be taken care of then Del Friscos is your place to be!----John Schiffner Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Great experience 11/14/2008

Not familiar with Del Frisco's, a friend told us to try a new place in the Denver Tech Center. What an incredible surprise from the Valet to the greeting from the host when we arrived, it was a great experience. Even though the restaurant was packed, they made sure to seat us promptly for our reservation. Our server was very prompt in getting to the table and was quick to get our cocktails. While we looked over the amazing wine list, the server returned to complete his greeting with some great recommendations (Seafood Plateau) incredible! Dinner was everything we were told it would be and more, from the amazing steaks and the great sides. After dinner they suggested we try the cigar lounge, another room packed with people and energy, we were able to get a seat and enjoy the live music. Overall experience was great and highly recommended! Will be back. Pros: Great cigar lounge and beautiful ambience more

Skip it. 10/18/2008

We arrived for our reservation and I was actually looked up and down head to toe by the ""hostess."" They couldn't find our reservation, and made no attempt to cover this. I am sure their reservation book is ""quaint"" but maybe in this day and age a computer would be helpful up front. After being made to wait, why we were left to wait while the hosts looked around the room and talked to eachother and looked down a lot was never explained since the dining room was ALMOST EMPTY. We felt like we had done something wrong, and it went down hill from there. Server was upbeat and friendly, but clearly fawning over the other tables, clearly friendly and doting. We were obviously the new people. When we told him we got a babysitter and were excited to try this place he was even less attentive, never asked if it was a special occasion, never mentioned it again. We felt the entire time like our money wasn't as good as everyone elses, and the managers stopped by and doted on every other table also, not ours. Food, it was fine, not better or worse than the other 5 steakhouses within an easy drive. For our money we'll got to elsewhere where they are nicer and a little more glad to have us. Add a tip, and babysitter, and for $220- we'll be at Mortons, Flemmings or even Jimmys. Pros: Beautiful dining room Cons: Snobby more

Best overall experience in Denver 7/2/2008

My wife and I had such a wonderful evening at Del Frisco's. Everything was perfect. The hostesses who greeted us were freindly and offered we have a drink at the bar before being seated. At the bar we were served promptly by an awsome bartender who recommended the pineapple martini, called the VIP. It was delicious. Our dinner was amazing! The apps (crab cake, king crab legs and shrimp) the dinner (bone-in filet and porterhouse) the sides (cream spinach, au grautin potatoes) were the best I have ever had, and I visit all the big steakhouses in every city I visit. The service was prompt and extremely attentive to every detail. The wine list was spectacular, so we asked for a sommelier. He was unpretentious, knowledgable and accepting of our budget. We had a half bottle of Billicart Champagne then moved on to the Ladera Cabernet, both exactly what we wanted. We were too full for dessert, so our server recommended the flight of port. It's 4 -1oz pours of tawny port 10year through 40 years of age. It was perfect (by the way, we took a cab home) After dinner we retired to the swanky cigar lounge behind the bar. There was a jazz trio playing all the standards as we relaxed on the sofas in front of the fireplace. I don't think there's anything else like this in Denver. I will be coming just for the music in the future on more casual evenings. If you go to Del Frisco's (which I obviously recommend highly) trust the staff to do what they do best..taking care of the guest Pros: ambience, service, wine list, live music, great food more

Must have been a bad night for them, too bad for me. 5/22/2008

Service was poor. Salad was good. Portions were small. Ribeye was overcooked but we had waited so I said OK. There was so much salt and pepper on the steak that I tried to scrape it off. It did not help. We all gradually finished our meals and when the waiter asked if I want to take my nearly complete steak with me, I explained that it was too salty to eat. He offered another but I declined as the rest of the party was ready to go. Lacking in attention to detail and quality. The rest of the group never really commented on the food either. Seems very over rated. more

Outstanding! 3/19/2008

Top-notch quality in every sense of the word. Great service and a beautiful atmosphere. Cigar lounge on site for hanging out after or while waiting for guests. Responsive and highest quality! Pros: Food, service, everything Cons: price (but well worth it) more

WONDERFUL steak and good service 8/3/2007

Del Frisco's was amazing. I called and made a reservation for my boyfriends birthday...asked for a romantic table...we arrived and were promptly seated at a great table. The service was great. The waiter was attentive but not ""over the top"". The crab cake was probably the best crab cake we've ever had. The steaks were cooked to perfection and they remembered his b-day w/o reminder. The manager even wished him a Happy Birthday. They brought us a fabulous chocolate cake w/ raspberry mousse. I?d recommend this restaurant to anyone willing to spend a little extra on a great dinner. Pros: Great steak, good service Cons: Expensive...but you expect that. more

Disreguard Foxgolf's Review 4/25/2007

Del Frisco's Double Eagle sets the standard and they set it high. This is a fine dining steak house. If you are a vegitarian don't discredit them just because they don't cater to someone who eats against their biological makeup. We are all carnivores and Del Frisco's sets the stage to fill our deepest needs for meat. If you are a vegitarian or don't appreciate fine aged red meat then you shouldn't go. This is what they do and they do it very well. more

Bad experience 4/22/2007

It is clear from the minute you walk into this establishment that it is a high end restaurant. You would expect excellent service from such an establishment. While that may be true for your average meat eater, try being a vegetarian (vegan) out with a group of people looking for a great meal and visiting this place. more

Incredible place for a elegant and romantic steak dinner 2/20/2007

I previously read reviews listed on CitySearch and some of them were not so favorable. I had eaten at Del Frisco's in the past and it had aways been wonderful. I wondered if my favorite restaurant had slipped. Thankfully my experience last Saturday was wonderful. I took my fiancee there for dinner and she loved it. If you want a steak dinner with no frills then I would not suggest going to Del Frisco's!! Even though it is one of my favorite restaurants it is flat out expensive!! Pros: Service, Atmosphere, and Food Cons: There are not opened for lunch...only dinner and meals are very pricey. more

Atmosphere is all you get at Del Frisco's...less than average steaks and meals cost of a meal WAY over priced 11/10/2006

In the last four times we have eaten at Del Frisco's, either I or 2 of our other parties have gotten ill. I have had a better steak at Texas Roadhouse...meals are not what I would consider outstanding but the prices are!!! To HIGH for what you are getting....you are paying for Atmosphere and anymore I would rather have and a meal I would rave about...Will find somewhere else to go.... Pros: Ambience...service Cons: Prices, quality of food, parking more

Best Steakhouse in the US 11/10/2006

A Valentine's Day To Remember 3/2/2006

I've dined at Del Frisco's before and wanted to treat my girlfriend to a great evening at this well known GWV spot. Made late reservations (9:00pm) knowing the place would be packed and sure enough we arrived to a full house running 30 minutes behind. Being Valentine's Day this Hallmark holiday was hopping so we grabed a drink at the bar. Sooner than we expected we were sat and told by our waitress we were her last table for the evening and to take our time. Ordered a perfecly cooked Ribeye followed by the filet ordered by my lady which was great. After two hours of conversation, mellow atmosphere and a slowing crowed (didn't leave until 11:30pm) our waitress was on the spot with a great dessert reccommendation. Looking for steak, head to Outback. Looking for a true dining experience make it Del Frisco's. Pros: Great Food, Wine List, Wait Staff Cons: None, to, mention more

Del Frisco's 10/29/2005

I went to Del Frisco's Double Eagle as a part of a group of five while on a business trip to Colorado. The food, service, atmosphere were excellent. If you choose to dine here, which I highly recommend, be prepared to spend $$$. Pricing Example: $90 18 oz. Austrailian Lobster (HUGE!), $35 Rib Eye (Excellent), $40 Filet Mignon. All side dishes are a la carte. If you are a smoker, check out the cigar lounge. Excellent. Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere Cons: Pricy more

OVER-RATED 6/8/2005

if you are not among the hoity-toity, forget it.. i'll go to Brook's. Pros: CIGAR BAR, crab cakes Cons: cold steak, FOOD JUST OK, loud more
