A shoddy medical practice. Recently, I took my daughter there with a deep, persistent cough. They sent her away with a prescription for antibiotics, but inexplicably, no cough medicine. The next morning, they did call in a prescription for a cough medicine. But it proved ineffective. Late in the day, I called again. She had been four days without eating, two without sleep. They refused to phone in a prescription for a stronger, effective cough syrup. A major storm was coming and we were going to be snowed in. The slip-shod medicine, and later indifference to a patient's suffering left me appalled. more

I went to this clinic for treatment of a deep, persisting cough. I was given antibiotics, though that treatment wasn't necessarily indicated. Some doctors hand them out indiscriminately. When I called for a prescription for a cough medicine with out an expectorant, which would make me cough more, they phoned in a prescription with an expectorant. We use this clinic for all our medical needs. They are fine for physicals, did a great job treating a burn on my hand, do immunizations and competently treated a problematic infection on my father's leg when he was visiting from out of town. I find the staff to be mostly very friendly, but I acknowledge it does vary. One doctor in particular I avoid because he is clueless, but the other doctors are very good at treating routine medical issue. I like them! more

I'm a life long Clifton resident & have been to the Immedicenter many times through out the years. My last visit was such an unpleasant experience. The front desk receptionist ignored me. She made me wait 40 minutes before I had to ask her twice to update & copy my insurance card. Then I waited in the exam room another 20 minutes. All I needed was a vaccine. The doctor finally knocked on the door & peeked his head in, he shouts out, "what do you need a shot for?" Never introduced himself, never examined me and never stepped foot into the exam room! He sent in the nurse to give me the vaccine that took 2 minutes. The best part is, he had the nerve to charge me for an office visit! I work in the medical field & I know you can't charge an office visit if you never examined the patient! I agree to the charge for the vaccine, but that's all. This experience explains why we are in such a mess with Obama & Health Care.... Also, I would like to add, that this facility calls it's self "Immedicenter", but they operate it as a regular primary care doctor's office. This is why the wait time is so long. They accommodate their patients who have appointments first. It kind of beats the purpose of being called "Immedicenter" don't ya think????? more

The medical staff, under the direction of Michael Basista, MD, are experts in primary care medicine. Also, in time of medical emergency where treatment usually involves waiting hours in a hospital emergency room, the Immedicenter is there to help, faster and usually way more cost effective than the ER. this office is usually open seven days a week. If closed, the Bloomfield office is just a few miles away on Broad St. more
