Bought an ATV, and I absolutely love it. Went to other dealers, but they couldn't offer me what I wanted. Definitely recommend anyone to go here. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/20/2013

I recently (March 2013) purchased a 2010 KTM from the dealership. Since I live in the bay area (350mi north) I requested an inspection report from the sales person (Brad) to understand the condition of the motorcycle as I was not able to go down to pickup the bike from Redondo Beach. The inspection report stated the bike was in excellent shape and without any damage.\r \r After receiving the motorcycle I saw a big dent in the exhaust system (among other minor dents and scratches). I contacted the sales person and he first justified the condition of the bike saying ""your bike is in as good a shape as you find a off road motorcycle. Have you ever looked at a nicer used dirt bike? I have never found a used dirt bike that looked like a new bike, it just doesn't happen"". After some emailing back and forth he said it must have happened in shipping and that there was no dent when the motorcycle was in their possession and they would not cover any damages. After which I looked at the youtube video of the motorcycle that they had posted. Now that I knew where to look I could tell there was a dent in the exhaust system. This was not noticeable when I first saw the video before purchase. \r \r During all my conversations and documentation exchanges with Brad he never once mentioned the dent and misled me into paying for a bike which was not in ""excellent"" shape. Following which he refused to cover the damages. Will recommend all my friends in the LA area against doing business with them. more

Wish I'd Researched B4 Buying 2/18/2012

Wow their reviews are bad, wish I had done some research before buying and then spending good money after bad! I went from browsing to buying and was less than pleased with regular maintenance service @ 5000mi. Then I had electrical wires shorting out other components. I have to wonder if they did poor setup and maintenance to ensure repeated visits. They charged me twice to fix an issue that still wasn't reliably completed. Only thing more dangerous than commuting on a motorcycle in LA is trusting Delamo Motorsports with your life. I now take my bike to Santa Monica Honda. Less glitzy but more trustworthy. more

Almost Ruined My Ducati 2/18/2012

The salesmen are a nightmare and they ganged up on me to purchase extended warranty. The setup on my bike was crap, fluids were half filled and filter not torqued tight. No after-sale support, just more hard-sell. Can't speak on service, after finding their ""F"" Better Business Bureau rating and complaints against their repair license I will never trust them with my bike. more

AVOID THIS SCAMSHOP 2/18/2012

After being let down over the years I don't even shop their vendor sales anymore. All sales staff are inept, service is renowned for being the worst around. If you get 10 South Bay riders together you will have none that had good experience. more

Worst Bike Shop In Cali 2/18/2012

IF YOU ARE GONNA BUY HERE FOR THE FINANCING BIG HUGE BEWARE!! Sales are hard-sell and ignorant, relying on crooked financing to those who don't understand financing terms. Apparel tried to sell me an Arai helmet that was too big and $100 more than the same one I bought online, saying ""You don't want it too tight""... they are idiots suckering noobs. Service lies to your face while smiling, keeping you waiting while overcharging and leaving your bike outside rain and shine. Their BBB rating is ""F"" and they have multiple complaints on their automotive repair license. They've given up on quality, relying instead on the ignorant and suckers. Don't even buy oil here you will be feeding amorality. more

not happy with service 11/26/2011

Took my dirt bike for service ($434), they forgot to wash it, they also used chain lube for street bike and didn't wipe the excess off so when they tested the bike it overs-prayed every where including the rear brake disc. Because of the sloppy job It makes me wonder how the service was done. They apologized and told me that I could bring the bike over to be washed. They charge $110 hr for service, what should I charge for my time? I just cleaned the hub, spokes, rim, wiped the spray off the rear disc and went on with my day. Reality is that bike sales are down and they have lots of overhead so you got to charge the customer more and sometimes, to cut corners, you have to hire people (at lower wages) that are not up to the part. I won't take my bike there anymore, can't believe how my $10k bike was returned to me. It was at night (the night before thanksgiving) so I was in a rush and didn't check the bike in the dark.......... Done with this place. more

Bummed by a last minute hard sale! 8/25/2010

I was looking for a good deal and worked with several nice salesmen. I found three dirt bikes for myself and my kids, at a good, but NOT a great price. I was actually very excited by the fact that the salesmen weren’t heavy handed and there was SOME room for negotiation. Then came the finance department (cashier) and the extended warranty push. Despite three NOs! I was tag teamed by a second finance person who explained he has known several customers who whished they had purchased the extended warranty prior to their motorcycle imploding shortly after leaving their showroom. Then they broke out a binder with service record for some idiot who rode his bike without oil. Surprise his engine seized and the service cost was over 1k. GREAT displeasure is an understatement, as I couldn’t get these warranty-pushers to give up. This 10-minute ordeal undermined my confidence in their inventory. (Dealer prep-AKA mechanic inspection, etc was between $400-$700 you'd think that would provide some level of quality) Watch the slight-of-hand pricing by the finance/cashier person. BTW when I got home the “new” Yamaha 50’s throttle was assembled incorrectly and got stuck. (I fixed it without a warranty.) And my 250's battery was unable to start the motor. (Again fixed without the extended warranty) Admittedly, this was something of an impulse buy. I should have walked away, and I am unlikely to purchase any future toys without checking out other dealers. Be informed, expect dealer prices and watch your back. Three years ago I bought two street bikes from Bert’s. That was a better experience due to the lack of heavy-handed sales tactics. The good guys in sales: Bob (I didn’t get the last name) and Justin Muldrow. Very nice apparel salesperson: Michelle (Her card doesn't have a last name) Michelle was great getting my kids setup with helmets, gloves, etc... more

These Reviews Are Fake 2/17/2010

These reviews are all fake or at least the four and five star ones. I used to work there and management told us to log on and put in positive reviews so we can try and create a buzz to bring in customers. This place is a joke and a the reviews speak for themselves. Marshmellow, one of the reviewers is Marsha in thier parts and apparel department. Pros: Nothing worth Mentioning Cons: Management Starting At the TOP more

It's a dealership - what do you expect? 10/4/2009

Many of the reviews posted here are obvious fakes, I assume by the employees of Del Amo. This is a fairly typical motorcycle dealership with high prices and slick sales staff. I do visit them because they have a great selection of parts, apparel, and Ducatis that are fun to look at. Pros: Good Selection Cons: Commission-driven staff more
