This is the best practice in Lake country. Sick call is great, and so are the doctors and staff. They are always on top of the new medications, because they also do clinical trials. Pros: very good doctors more

Many people here said that they couldn't find the hours . . . but when I call the office out of hours . . . they say when their hours are right on the message. I've never had any problems, and everyone I know that goes there had had fantastic experiences. Pros: Dr. Savin is fantastic Cons: None really more

My Drs. helped me ovr and over again to provide exams and serivces on important health issues which could have in the long term been detrimental to my health. They do an overall very good job, but i do feel that physical exams should be slowed down and done in more depth. the comments i have noted on this site appear unreasoanble e.g. -- to expect a doctor to provide prescriptions to patients who miss appointments or who are not their patients. Give me a break they do not know them. It is also unreasonable to expect a patient to see their doctor prior to the next refill and to take the time to actually care enough to follow up on the call. I recenty just moved in the area and a neighbor referred me here, and I am soo pleased with the staff, the selection of different physicians. I can not believe that they have a sick call 6 days a week that I don't even need an appointment for. This has to be the most beautiful Drs office that I have ever been in. It is a very convenient location. I would recommend this group to everyone that I can!!!! more

I called to make an appt. and was told I could come in @ 9:30 am. I got to the office and they did not want to take because they said I had a remaining balance in my bill. They said I had to pay $200.00. My Bill was $463.00 i was told. I offered to pay $100.00 and pay the rest later on. I was out of work for 8 months. I was having financial difficulty . I was ready to passed out and left the office crying because I feel so horrible and didn't know what I had. I didn't have a choice but to go to Lake Forest Hospital in the emergency room I felt my brain is going to explode and was afraid I could have had Brain Annurism. And that is what the Emergency Doctor did confirm. They had to do a CAT SCAN to make sure everything is clear. I could have died and DEERPATH PHYSICIANS GROUP COULDN'T CARE LESS BECAUSE OF BILLING ISSUES..... I REALLY LIKED DR. SAVIN BUT WITH THE EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THEM I THINK IT IS TIME TO CHANGE. I WOULD PAY WHATEVER BALANCE I HAD AND WILL LOOK FOR A DIFFERENT PRIMARY PHYSICIAN. more

I've been a patient of this group for a dozen years but I'm done. The concern for patients in the service side of the practice is horrible. I can't find sick call or office hours. The phone answering service doesn't allow me to leave a message. The answering message says I'm calling outside of office hours but doesn't tell me what those hours are! Dr. Savin has been very helpful to me over the years but his office is now, by far, the worst run medical office I've ever dealt with when it comes to handling patients. It is unconscionable. People who call a doctor's office are sick or need help - the approach of this group just adds aggravation and stress to the patient. I'm going to change doctors. Pros: Dr. Savin is a capable physician Cons: Office hours and other normal service information is unattainable. more

I am not sure if anyone from the group ever looks at this, but if they do under the tab business information it would be nice to see the business hours, and sick call hours. Reading other reviews posted it might be a good idea to also include the prescription refill policy. Smile because some of us still likes you. Savin rules. My regular Dr. (Dr. Han) was out on maternity leave, hence I schedule a phyical with Dr. Fenwall..........worst thing I could have done. After week of I finally got a call saying everything is normal, I then proceed to specific information on my some of my result. She proceed to tell me that she doesn't have time for this and she worked late the day before. I insisted on getting specific results, and she hang up the phone on me. I was IN SHOCk!!! I'm still in SHOCK!!!! more

My regular doctor - Dr. Savin - is a very good doctor and he has been very helpful. Pros: Dr. Savin and his bedside manner as well as compassion. Cons: Dr. Christopolis (sp?), the answering service (incompetent) more

We switched my Mom to a geriatric physician thinking that she would get better care from someone who understands and is knowledgable about senior citizens health isssues. That has not been the case. The doctor totally missed the fact that my Mom's breathing difficulties were being caused by congestive heart failture. She did not recommend that she have tests done to check her heart. She eventually ended up having quadruple heart bypass surgery and we discovered also that she had heart attack, also undiagnosed by this doctor. She also did not seem concerned that her weight was causing stress to her heart and did not advise that she be put on a strict diet. Her bedside manner needs improvement too. She has little patience with the elderly and seems to be annoyed by comments or questions that are asked. She should not be a geriatric doctor if she does not have the patience required. more

Horrible service, horrible experience. I have had an problem with a referral that the office issued in 2003. The referral office wrote the wrong SS# on the referral, so the claim never got processed or paid. When I called to have them resolve it, no one responsded to my numerous voicemails and messages made throughout 2004 and 2006. To this day (Jan, 2007), the issue has not been resolved. I, as well as multiple representatives from Humana have called to resolved this issue and the physician's office (Dr. Pamela Fennelwald) has not yet complied to Humana's request of faxing the referral to Humana's office. It is a simple request, but they refuse to help resolve this issue. I am in the process of filing an appeal to Humana and a formal complaint. Pros: parking, nice waiting area, nice office Cons: very distant and detached bedside manner, staff not helpful in resolving problems, referral office response time poor if at all, poor follow-up skills. more
