Deans seemed like a very friendly shop, but that was before they gave me my bill. My check engine light had come on. Since I do not own a diagnostic computer to check the problem...

I have been with Warren for over 25 years. I am extremely happy with the service at Dean's Automotive. Everything has all been excellent. They are wonderful, personal, and honest. That is why we keep going. If you want quality care, Dean's Automotive provides quality care. If for some reason something is not working properly, Warren will make it right. 19 years of good service. 6/21/2010

We have gone to Dean's Automotive for 19 years, and there is a reason we keep going back. We have 6 different vehicles, and they have done everything for us. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Dean's Automotive has the Best Service! 8/9/2009

I love this shop! I like the fact that if my husband wants to see what is being done on the car, they will let him, or show him the "bad" part. I take the van in for oil changes and repairs if needed. I do not understand car lingo, I take it in, they check it out, and call my husband to tell him what is the problem. I have been going to Dean's Automotive for some time and let my friends and coworkers know it's a trusted and experienced place to take your car to! I also like the service, my van always comes back cleaner that when it went in. more

Incomparable Service and Expertise 2/18/2008

Before we moved out of California last September, we gave our car into the expert care of Deans Automotive. Because Deans shop believes in fixing little problems before they become big problems, our car is still in excellent condition although 10 years old! We have been so pleased with their work, that one of our daughters and one of our son-in-laws have brought in their cars. We have sent several friends from the Elks Lodge in Palo Alto as well, and everyone has only praise for the work that was done on their automobiles. When one wants to drive on busy freeways with confidence that their auto is in tip top condition, just be sure to visit Deans Automotive in Mt. View., California more

Quick but overcharged 2/15/2008

Deans seemed like a very friendly shop, but that was before they gave me my bill. My check engine light had come on. Since I do not own a diagnostic computer to check the problem, I took it to this shop to find out what was wrong. The next day they called me and explained it was the EGR system and that they recommended that I replace the whole thing. I agreed to the price of $732.88 since it sounded like it would be highly complicated and big job. \r When I arrived to pick up my car, I looked at the bill and saw that I was charged $133.33 for the EGR valve which can easily be found for $50-80 at any autoparts store. Next, when I asked if he could show me the work that was done, he became extremely offended and argued that I was calling him a crook for simply asking to see what exactly was done. \r Although the service was prompt and is quality work, a minor repair/replacement that would range from $300-450 ended up costing $732.88. Personalized Service at Dean's Automotive 5/12/2006

I have taken several different cars to Dean's and have been extremely satisfied in every instance with the service I've received and with the effectiveness of the repairs. The owner is on-site daily and makes sure that all his staff is working up to the owner's standards. The waiting area is clean and pleasant. They always call me with estimates when they say they will. The car is generally ready when they say it will be, and if they are going to be late, they always call me with plenty of notice to tell me. Dean's also keeps track of what routine maintenance is due on my car, lets me know what is essential and what is optional/recommended/could wait a while. I appreciate the personal attention and the high quality of the work. PROS: CONS: Dean's does not work on cars with air cooled engines. more
