I came to Dean Team with several cars in mind, and a budget to follow. Richard was more than happy to help me on my 5 day long search for the car I wanted. He returned phone calls...

I leased a Tiguan from Dean Team (April 2011), and was adamant that I get the online pricing they listed ($29,200). The monthly payments are what I expected, but when I called to ...

Thanks 5/16/2012

Richard was very nice to work with, he was freindly, provided answers to all our question, it did take a little to much time getting the offers back from the sales manager. I would of liked a better deal, but was satisfied with the one we ended up with. the car was cleaned and detaled when we received it and a 90 service apoitment was set up, I guess we will see if the service that was promased will be there. thank you more

Dean Team is great! 5/7/2012

A.J was super friendly and not pushy at all. It took me a month to purchase the vehicle that I wanted. AJ was patient and very helpful. I am recently widowed and was very scared to do this. No regrets at all. The Dean Team is great. Thank You!! more

above and beyond 4/25/2012

Dean Team went above and beyond to get me what I wanted and to make sure I was satisfied. They were all very friendly and every department seemed completely genuine about ensuring the customers satisfaction. more

Best Dealer 4/16/2012

I purchased a car last week from Charles at the Dean Team in Kirkwood. Charles was very honest about being a knew salesman and answered my questions as best he could and when he couldn't he stated he would find out. Its nice to have a fresh change in purchasing a car, I enjoyed my experience and will send others to Charles at the Dean Team. Honesty goes a long way in my book. more

They Screwed Me 2/1/2012

I leased a Tiguan from Dean Team (April 2011), and was adamant that I get the online pricing they listed ($29,200). The monthly payments are what I expected, but when I called to get the total lease payoff amount, I found out they changed me the full MSRP ($34,000) for the lease! I went back to review all my paperwork, and no where on it does it say the full amount of the lease, only the monthly payment amount. I am livid that they ""pulled one over"" on me. Now I'm trapped in an extremely upside down lease. They're shady. Go somewhere else, and make sure the full amount for the lease is on your paper work, not just the monthly payments and length of the lease. more

Would drive car off of cliff before taking it back here. 9/20/2011

The problem started a few months ago. They told me i needed an ECM (i am honestly still not clear on what it was, however, i remember the bill was around $1500). I got it back and about a week later the engine light came back on. I did not bring the car back immediately and thats my bad. I happened to be in the area about a week ago and decided to stop by and get it checked. They told me it was the 02 sensor and temperature guage. This would be a $500 repair. He told me for a ""couple hundred dollars less"" i could get the fuse box on my battery changed because it ""might be throwing the CEL codes."" I agreed to do it and he told me the light was off. I got into my car and the light was on. I took it back immediately and the mechanic told me that i could have the 02 sensor changed at the same price discussed before. I took the car home and changed the 02 sensor myself for $52.00 and then changed the temperature guage sender for $12.99. The light is off and the temperature guage works. The service person yelled that i should not threaten him when i said i would report it to the better business bureau. I have been looking at reviews that i wish i would have looked at before and i can see there is a pattern. more

Eddie is Awesome! 1/31/2011

I was in the market for a Volkswagen CC. Went to a few VW places and then stopped in at the Dean Team Vw in Kirkwood. I met a salesperson named Eddie. He was awesome! He knew everything about the car, gave me the price I wanted and really made the process enjoyable. If you hate the car buying process go see Eddie. He will make you like buying a car again. more

Wonderful Experience! 1/21/2011

I just purchased a new Jetta from the Dean Team and I was so impressed with how easy the process was. Before I took my test drive the salesman showed me the car inside and out and told me everything I would want to know about how the new Jettas are different from the old Jettas. Once I got back from my test drive I was in and out of the finance office quicker and happier than I've ever been before. I will definitely be buying cars from the Dean Team from now on! more

Dean Team should be named Den of Thieves! 8/9/2010

Oh definetly, it's the worst! They are the stereotypical car dealership. Actually, they give car dealers a bad name, if that's possible! more

Avoid this dealer - service is the worst we ever had 12/11/2009

We bought a pre-owned 28 thousand miles Passat station wagon from the DeanTeam 31. December 2007. Right from the beginning this car caused us a real headache up to these days in December 2009. When we paid for the new car in cash and drove out from their property, the service light of the Passat came on just after a few miles of driving. We drove back and told them about the service light. They kept it and gave as a car from their lot for a week while they fixed the problem. After a week we came in and got back the car. We were told that the problem was fixed. We were not charged at this point, as it was just bought from them. We drove out and after 15 miles the same problem occured again, the service light was on again. We drove back to the Dean Team in Kirkwood and complained that we can not go on with such a bad car. The service people kept the car and gave as a Jetta from their lot for almost 3 weeks!!!, while our car was in their garage for getting fixed again. Three weeks later we came in for the third time and picked-up our paid Passat. The total amount had been over $4000 but we were not charged for anything yet. In September 2009 we had a service light problem occuring in Chesterfield. As the Dean Team was not so far away from Chesterfield, we decided to make it to the Dean Team for getting it checked. And now the rip-off with them really starts. When you come to the service desk, these guys tell you right at the beginning that a diagnose check will cost you $110. But to lower your shock, they tell you if you get it repaired they will not charge you for the test!!! Bla bla bla! Our car was in for just 2 hours and 30 minutes! Guess what? We were told by a rude guy (service desk) that because the service for the car was not done by them before, this would be now the problem. And now the details of the bill, they supposedly replaced the oxygen sensor, the ignition coil, all 4 spark plugs, the air filter and a wheel trim which we did not even asked for. The final bill came to $829,96. That was almost blowing us away from reality. on the statement was a labor fee of $407 Dollars marked on the bill. Their actual labor cost per hour is $110. Later we reealised that these guys really ripped us off with everything possible. So on labor we were definately ripped of with a total of $122. And we don't even know if they really changed the oxygen sensor for another $205. Anyway, just 25 days later the service light came on again. We heard from friends that you get a free diagnose check from the guys at AutoZone. We asked them for checking it and we got a prompt free service! Congratulation to the AutoZone guys!!! They diagnosed that the problem is still related to the oxygen sensor. We told them that the Dean Team has replaced it just a month ago. With our report sheet from AutoParts we went to the Dean Team once again ( stupid as we are) for getting this problem checked. We came in and automatically you hear this: ""Oh, we diagnose your car which will be $110. However, if we fix your car, we don't charge you for the test!"" Bla bla bla!!! We thought we would not get charged as the problem was related to the oxygen sensor. Guess what happened? This time supposedly a tube was broken and needed to be replaced. We paid another $179,28. 2 days later the service light was on again! We asked the AutoZone guys in Eureka for help again. According to their diagnose, the problem is still the oxygen sensor. We decided we will never ever step one foot into the property of the Dean Team, 10205 Manchester Road, Kirkwood ever again. These people are very dishonest and the service people are rude and trained to rip off every customer the hard way. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!!! Pros: Nothing really good there to be honest Cons: Rip-off service, service peop find ways to empty your wallet more

Avoid this dealership at all costs - miserable experience 10/6/2009

When I purchased a brand new VW Jetta in 2007, the center back arm rest was broken. The sales rep (Shaun Smith) noted that the armrest was defective and stated that the dealership would have to order a new armrest and install it at no charge to myself. When I went to have the new armrest installed, the dealership now wants to charge me. The Dean Team of Kirkwood refuses to honor their defective product and prior commitment. Unacceptable and terrible customer service. I will never purchase a vehicle nor have my vehicle serviced by the Dean Team of Kirkwood again. Nor would I recommend them to anyone. Pros: Dean Team of Kirkwood does not honor their word Cons: Liars more

More of the same from Dean Team Kirkwood 6/2/2009

My sister bought a 2005 VW from the Dean Team less than one year ago. She's not the most car-savvy person, and unfortunately took the Dean Team salesman at his word. She was informed if the car had a warranty and was told it would have a 4-year warranty. She asked again to clarify, that the car would have a 4-year warranty to begin at her purchase. The salesman said yes. However, this is apparently not the case - the warranty in reference apparently began in 2005, thus ending in 2009. Fast forward to last December, a light goes off on my sister's car, she takes it to the Dean Team, and they tell her the light is malfunctioning, a computer error, and turn it off. Fast forward to today, when said light goes off yet again, and now they tell her that her warranty is expired and that light actually indicates she needs new brakepads. They offer to fix the pads for $1000, which, after some research, reveals that is a grossly inflated price for the service, which might normally run for $200 or less. My sister was in hysterics all afternoon, because she works three jobs and can barely pay her bills as is, now she has had to worry about not having an operating vehicle all day, simply because they thought they could take advantage of her. @#$% you, Dean Team, it's companies like you that make me wish ""vigilante justice"" was a viable defense in court. Pros: They will sell you a car, which I suppose is the basic goal. Cons: Scheisters, Scammers, Schemers, and Frauds! more

Dishonest & Rude 1/27/2009

I had the extreme displeasure of purchasing a car from this dealership. The salesman, Staci, made so many empty promises, and failed to keep any of them. Since I purchased the car, several items have broken on the car. I also caught them completely fabricating the inspection date on the car, which I reported to the state of Missouri. This is just an all around group of dishonest individuals. Avoid them at all costs. Cons: Dishonest more

Never buy a car from this dealership! 7/10/2008

We bought a car from this dealership and completely regretted our decision. They made a mistake on our contract and then tried to get us to pay for the difference. This was after the contract had been signed by us and by their sales representatives. We have since purchased another VW (from another dealership) and completely avoid taking our car in for service to The Dean Team, even though this dealership is literally around the corner. When talking to friends/associates about this dealership - I have heard many similar stories. Cons: Customer service and honesty more

horrible - avoid at all costs! 12/6/2007

have you ever been completely and totally disappointed? thats how i felt when i left the dean team in kirkwood. the salesman was actually rude to me. he made me feel like i was worthless. and then when i tried to leave he commanded me to ""sit down""...i was shocked and mad. i ended up leaving and going elsewhere (where i purchased the same type of car i was trying to purchase at the dean team)...the dean team was going to charge me over $5000 more for a car that was older and had more miles than the car i ended up with at suntrup nissan. and! the dean team told me my car was worth half of what the kellybluebook said it was worth. where suntrup honored the bluebook's rating. Pros: location is nice Cons: rude, not helpful, insulting more
